I was there at the Mayan Ruins after going to the cenote. The food was delicious and the tour guides were wonderful. There were to many bats in the cenotes hanging from the caves and flying around, plus there were to many people in the water, so we left and went back to the area where the busses were.There was a huge Peacock walking around, then he jumped on top of the hut where they were selling food. He flew back down and stirred up so much dust, right in my face. That really messed up my respiratory system and gave me a really bad infection, which didn't kick in fully until the next morning flying home. It put me out for about 2 days, before deploying back overseas. But it didn't affect the trip to Mexico City, after leaving the Mayan Ruins. We bought so rum raisin ice cream, from a parlor. It was so fresh and let's just say it's not for kids! Earlier in the week we'd gone to the Mayan Riviera Resort. It looked like the original Fantasy Island! I absolutely love the Western Caribbean. This video takes me back. TFS!

Was in playa last summer, loved it but the beaches were such a disappointment. Excessive seaweed and it smelled horrible.. otherwise great place. Check out port aventuras next time.
