This is one of the best videos I've seen on this. It's the dishwasher test that really brings things to light. Thank you SO much for sharing this, it's so helpful.
What kind of laminate do you use ?
Great video, you are always so helpful and cute. I would recommend doing a seperate laminate layer and making it a 30pt-35pt stroke and cutting these separate from your print and cut, then aligning them by hand so that you have a laminate slightly bigger than your design so that water can not get under your sticker. This leaves a small clear boarder around your stickers but will protect them better. I recommend using something like vinyl shield from therhinestoneworld for dishwasher safe rather than regular laminate.
Great thanks for the advice! I’ll have to try that sometime
wow. you are really good at drawing! these designs are so cute!
Thank you ☺️
So this is a little late, but you can optimize the way you export your pngs way faster as separate files. There's an option called export as layers that will trim and save each individual visible layer under the export option. Depending on how many items (I regularly do over 20 stickers at a time) it can take more time to finish the program, like up to a whole minute, but it's seriously so convenient everyone should know.
Thank you so much for actually testing them rather than just making them.
We hope that you will become a member of our large family:)
Really could use the advice was looking at your videos , been debating on entrepreneur moves , would like some wisdom when it comes to everything haha . But thank you if you would give me a moment of your time .
omg THANK YOU for making this video!! I've been on the hunt for figuring out which sticker paper type is best waterproof and laminate combined. You separated them in helpful categories with lamination which definitely helps!
What kind of lamination do you use? You didn't run them through a thermal laminator or anything so how did you do that?
Your designs are so cute btw! So glad I found your channel.
I have a canon pixma printer and I love it! I make stickers too but obviously I can cut out shapes. I've made pokemon card stickers and then cut them out myself. That was easy because pokemon cards are rectangles. I've just cut out squares, rectangles, and those types of shapes. But! by watching this, you taught me I can print the stickers, laminate them, and then use my cricut to cut out the shapes, wow! Thank you! I just got a cricut and I'm still learning how to use it.,
A big question I have had for a while is is there any benefit to doing glossy + laminate over matte + laminate? It seems better to do matte + laminate in my mind because you can avoid the matte tape step that way, but if you could maybe explain why glossy + laminate is your combo of choice nonetheless, that'd be super helpful for me. thank you so much!!
For our part, we can say that glossy paper has a slightly better color rendition than matte.
@@homstoprintablestickerpape3349 yoooooo thank you so much for the reply!! I really appreciate it.
Waiitttttttt your vids are amazing people are hater like the video sheesh
The video of her on how to laminate the stickers:
ruclips.net/video/f9U3nRdeQjU/видео.html
I use a laminator and water always leaks through any tips or should I use the self adhesive laminate
What are your settings for the glossy one? And media type?
Kinda neat that the matte laminate gets shiny from lamination. And the laminate helps a lot to protect sticker!
That`s right!
Print some Blackpink K-pop please do it💖🥰
What is that software you use to make the border?
What computer do you use?
Ahh perfect!! I’m going to digitally draw and print my bullet journal themes this year and I needed to know if this printer could print on a clear (even frosty) sticker sheet! Thanks so much 😊
No problem :)
Thanks for this review. My stickers have lasted over 2 years in the dishwasher so I was hoping to find something equivalent and cheaper. Sadly this one isn’t it. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this video! You saved me some money.🤗
Hey there, just started watching your videos. So, none of those sticker papers hold up in a dishwasher huh?
That's not good. Any other recommendations? Thank you for posting your videos. Very informative!
I think most stickers aren’t dishwasher safe just because the hot water will take apart the adhesive
@@jellyjarco This has been so helpful!! thank you :)
What type of laminate did you use? Have you found a paper that will not peel off from the dishwasher after adding the laminate?
Oh I found the laminate type in the comments! Have you found a paper that wont peel off
?
No I haven’t found any :( I usually use oracal 651 laminate
Thanks for the great video, it was informative, clear and easy to understand.
❤️
Super helpful video!
Loved your review video! It was super helpful! 🙌🏼
Glad it helped!
I have the same printer and bought the glossy paper! And I want to see if it's water proof do I have to wait like an hour or what?
First you need to make sure your ink is waterproof. If so, literally 5-10 minutes of drying will give you wonderful waterproof stickers.
@@homstoprintablestickerpape3349 ohhh thank you
@@homstoprintablestickerpape3349 i don't get it i still have the same printer as her and my black ink smudges pretty sure it doesn't have waterproof but her did
This is a great and really informative video, thank you for sharing :)
Can I ask what is the tool you're using to help you press the laminate onto your sticker sheet? Cheers!
You mean the plastic squeegee? I think it’s just called a scraper/squeegee if u search it on amazon. I just use that or my ruler
@@jellyjarco ahhn thank you! Yes the squeejee! I couldn't think of the name of it got the life of me, my brain kept suggesting 'dragger' and i knew that wasn't right 😅 Thanks so much!
I don't know if you know this but apparently there is a hack to utilize most of your sticker paper since people were unhappy with how cricut's registration mark causes the waste. It'll be a little more work but you'll get more stickers per sheet.
i literally appreciate your videos soooo much!! i’ve had my shop since august 2019 and had good sales but i took a break and now i’m coming back and need new paper that’s actually waterproof!! what paper would you say has been the most waterproof?
I would like to know too. I watched the whole video. It seems if you use any of the "waterproof" papers, that the more accurate term would be water resistant and that the dishwasher can ruin the sticker but handwashing is "safe".
All the sticker paper that are labeled waterproof hold up pretty well under tap water and normal wear and tear. When they say waterproof they actually mean the paper itself is waterproof and not the ink. I find that laminating helps tremendously with keeping the ink from smudging.
@@keilahhall7391 Due to the strong directional streams of water in the dishwasher, the sticker will not be able to maintain its qualities - the ink will for the most part simply be washed off and the sticker will come off.
Your designs are adorable!! And your voice is so calming, great video! :)
Thank you ☺️
Wait the Cricut laminates too?
No. It is a laminate film I stick over the sticker paper manually
What’s the best for cars? Thanks!
It all depends on your goals - our clients use both glossy and matte frosty clear paper for their stickers to attach to the car.
But we can definitely tell you that if you want to use your stickers outside, then we recommend that you additionally laminate them or apply UV acrylic spray.
it useless, what paper it is?
the materials are linked in the description
Hi how do you manage to print a full page?
Do you think these are car proof?
Would it work if I use just normal sticker paper and the glossy paper??
Didn't quite understand your question (
what are you using over the glossy paper to make it water proof?
I recommend oracal 651 transparent vinyl
@@jellyjarco thank you ❤️
@@jellyjarco I'm having so much trouble getting my cricut to cut through the oracle over cricut printable vinyl. I don't know why, I keep getting jagged edges, not a smooth cut.
It's nice
Also low-key good asmr
Hello! 🙂 May I know what ink you've used for your printer? Ty!
Just the ink that comes with the printer
Thanks for making this video!! Would you recommend using a matte laminate for the matte stickers?
Not really, because most weatherproof matte sticker paper doesn’t smudge as much as the glossy ones do
Omg this video is just what I needed! Thank you so much! Also, your art looks AMAZING!!! May I ask what laminating sheets you use?
I use oracal 651 usually
😂😂😂 best!
This was super helpful! Thank you so much
Hey, I have the same printer but it doesn’t come out as good as yours. If there’s a lot of colors there’ll be horizontal lines and I’m trying to print an outline but it’s not coming out bold- almost looks faded. Have you experienced this/know how to fix? Thank you
Try doing the clean cartridge function for the lines
@@jellyjarco I’ll try that, Thank you!!
@@jellyjarco Hey, I’ve been trying to research this but I can’t find anything. What is the clear cartage function?
Can I ask what your setting are? I have thr same printer. I put in a brand new colored ink cartridge, literally printed 1 full page (waterslide) and then tried to print another one and it printed half and spit it out telling me my ink was low! I was upset with my printer (I've had it a little less than 2 months)
I print everything on best settings. Usually the printer comes with a smaller sample cartridges installed and then you can buy full cartridges after
@@jellyjarco yeah my husband actually bought some and this were the ones I put in. I love the quality but im struggling with the ink being guzzled
