I love, love learning about new tools to use. A Dremel making perfect splashes? Who knew? Oh wait I know...now. And I can practise my dental hygiene while painting with a waterpik . Excellent tips.

I’ve only had time to watch the first quarter of this; however, I am amazed at the use of the water pic and of the watercolor ground! Thanks so very much. I’m looking forward to being able to sit down and watch the rest of the video.

You didn't mention in what order would you reach for the water pic.... Would it be after spray from water bottle didn't work (second choice in line with the others?) or would you use other techniques before reaching for it. Just wonder how much sizing comes off with pic and can you paint over the area... . Nice of you to answer questions long after tutorial is over. Much gratitude.

Yes, plenty of artists paint watercolor either at an angle or vertical. Just get yourself an easel or prop your board.

    • @ArtExpertAN

Sure you can use gouache but the corrections I referred to in this video was for those seeking puritan watercolor application. I still feel PanPastels works better than gouache though and is less noticeable in some cases.

WHEN YOU USE THE WATERPICK TO REM0VE PAINT, IS THERE WATER INVOLVED? JUTTA

  • @meanbean98

when you muted it i had no idea what you were saying so what about there hair dryer i would rather hear everything cause i missed something now its okay let it be thats how we learn i have no idea what you did with the water pic now

    • @ArtExpertAN

I use the water pik powerful jet stream to remove unwanted paint. The water penetrates deeper into the cotton fibers and washes out paint. I got the idea while washing my car with a power washer. Lol

You are obviously a very skilled painter, and produce beautiful works. I would enjoy your videos more if you weren't so opinionated and insisting that these techniques are "unknown" and jaw dropping". Confidence is not the same as cockiness.

Lol… “hot press is not for watercolours” - WHAT? Tell that to all the watercolour artists who use hot press for smooth effects! Just say that YOU don’t use hot press because it doesn’t suit YOUR art style. Don’t dictate what other artists do because you’re clearly uninformed about what other watercolour artists do!
