    Cool video, kinda late to the party but do you know if they've fixed it after all these years? Been having the same issues on the brook ps4 version.

      no they haven't unfortunately, and the damn PS5 officially Sony licensed sticks like Qanba or Hori STILL have the problem. You press 1+2 and you may get 1,2 input or just 1 input, or 2 input like maybe 10-20% of the time. You're experiencing that bullshit right? It's fucking annoying when idiots on reddit claim it's an "operator error" lmao...The only solution ATM is Brook UFB.

      @@bludika I just bought a Mayflash F500 Elite, and it has the exact same issue as well on PC even though I don't play Tekken.
      It's very noticeable in older CPS2 games on Fightcade where pressing KK, PPP, LP+LK, etc is super strict like with Tekken. Like if you try doing a bunch of kick lariats in a row with Gief in Alpha 2/3, a bunch will randomly drop on newer sticks. Whereas if I go back to my old PS3 or 360 sticks, I might drop like one out of every 30. Also, do you know if GP 2040 fixes the issue as well?

      @@bludikadamn that’s bummer. I was considering getting new ps5 stick since my ps4 stick has the problem. My current solution was to bind inputs and buffer. Its a shame that they didnt fix it. I noticed the issue after switching to ps4 stick from ps3 stick.

      @@dannycandra yea, i hate button binds and hotkeys. I've never ever used it, and always used the 4 main buttons since day 1

    I believe you since I am pretty sure I have the same exact problem.
    Can you show me where Brooks says that this fix has been implemented in their new firmware? I couldn't find any sources online indicating that holding down R2 (3K) will actually do this. Not saying it won't, I just wanted more details on exactly what the problem was and how they fixed it.

      well see this is not part of the MAIN firmware that works when you just plug it in straight, see i emailed Brooks, and one of the team members replied, and he and i have been contact, and i sent him the video, showing the problems, and also how PS3 sticks work perfectly compared to ps4 sticks and even brooks modded sticks, so he had his programmers play around with the firmware and coding, and he had me test it by having the firmware offer this alternate version which they played around with the coding, according the him, they were trying to "match the game speed" or something, and tried to make it similar to the perfectly working PS3 sticks they have in the office. They were finally able to perfect it, and every time you update the firmware, this alternate version which they specifically catered to Tekken 7, will also be available, the only thing is, you HAVE to always hold down R2, and plug it in, and when you turn off the console, you have to unplug, and re-plug while holding down R2. The reason for that is that he told me they have to test this specific firmware build with other games, and see if it'll negatively affect it, thats why it's not part of the main firmware where you don't have to hold down the R2. I will contact him again and see if they can incorporate it into the main firmware, but last time he told me, they are a bit busy right now with other projects.

      you see the problem is when you for sure pressed 1+2, a 1 jab comes out, or a 1,2 comes out, and if you've been playing tekken for 10+ years on an arcade stick, that kind of mistake, you will never make, this is the problem that is native to ALL ps4 sticks, i've gone through TE2, TE2+, RAP4, PRO N, 2018 hori fighting edge, Razer panthera with the latest firmware, while my sticks from like 2010 like the ps3 mad catz soul edition, and mad catz versus stick work flawlessly. Brooks told me it may be the game that's causing it, and the third party software instructions given by Sony or something, but i believe what they did was try to copy the PS3 sticks PCB and how it behaves with the game on the PS4.

      Thanks for the info. I'm slightly confused by what you said at the end tho, are you saying this fix is not already in the main firmware? Or are you saying this fix IS in the main firmware, but it just isn't incorporated as part of the main "PS4" mode of the stick?
      If it is a part of the main firmware out now (V2.2 on the website), then I plan to have my friend test this out soon on his Brooks stick. This might fix the problems we were having with inputting 1+2 for throw breaks sometimes just dropping, and a myriad of other double/triple input problems. I'm hoping this fix works even when using the stick for PC Tekken, as we commonly play on PC also.

    • @bludika

      yea, it IS part of the firmware when you update it to the latest version, Brooks told me this version is saved into the data, so when you update the firmware, this version will come with it, people just don't know about it since it was pretty much catered to me and the complaint i made, and they acknowledge the issue with simultaneous button inputs, they've tested it themselves and told me yes there is a problem, but they believe this was mostly because it's more of the game's problem, so it's on Namco's end, BUT since they can change the coding and programming on their UFB, they made a workaround it. This specific version is only accessible through holding R2, so make sure you're updated to V 2.2, and if you want to use this version, then just hold R2, plug it in, and while still holding down, press the PS button if it's a PS4 stick. since i play far away from the console, i just got myself a 10 feet USB 3.0 extension cord with a female end, so i just need to unplug and re-plug every time instead of walking up to the console while holding my stick to do this.

      haha this only just the artwork swap...i got the official artwork myself and purchased a 2nd one for this. I wonder if the artwork can be sold for some $$$, it's the OG artwork from Mad Catz directly. And by the way, they never got to releasing the Tekken 7 TE2+, the company went under before that, so i must have purchased the left over stock when they were liquidating the company

      no tracking, only the trackpad CLICK which you probably only need for tekken, the track scrolling or touchpad browsing is way too sensitive and too small of a surface to be any use

    So this issue is only resolved on the sticks with ufb right? all the ps4 sticks or sticks with brooks ps3/ps4 fighting boards will still have the problem?

    • @bludika
      @bludika  5 лет назад

      yes, this is ONLY the UFB, install into your stick, update firmware, then HOLD L2, then plug in. They changed it actually from R2 to L2 because they had to put in that NEO GEO firmware. So please hold L2 then plug in
