This guy could be a therapist with his calm tone lol
It sounds like he's on a sedative or some type of anti-depressant .
Gamers Nexus is Tech Jesus. Jays two cents is the Watercooling Doctor. Linus tech tips a crazy madman. That will drop something. But yes a very soothing voice. As we learn some Tech.
Novel prize in calming voice. Hehe
I was thinking the exact same thing before I read the comments😭😭🤣
Soo true 😂
Everyone is watching this video with a loud laptop sound including me
mine is whirring right this moment lol
vuidre same lmao
LOL 😂
My laptop sounds like a jet engine
Im triggered
I'm watching this as my computer transforms into an airplane.
ikr 😂
Excellent instructional video. I wish I was brave enough to dismantle my Acer laptop.
I can't hear the fan noise over the fan noise mine is making. heh!
My fan noise is as loud as Boeing 747.
AungKK are you ever on the deck of a ferry and the loud horn goes of without expecting it.
not that bad mine is like a galaxy c-5 with a XF-84H at the same time hahaha probably 100km away
Mine sounds like an Antonov loaded with 2 tanks inside taking off
Lol
mine sounds like the hulk jumping from a plane and going straight thru earth
Comparing my laptop fan noise to his, his sounds normal as like the wind while mine is loud as like a motorcycle speeding.
An1m3 my pc is loud with a peeeeeeeeee sound
Hahaha 😂 mine sounds like a plane's engine. When its taking off* 😂😂😂😂
Mine sounds like an machine gun it crackles

Me

can you hear the laptop sound? me: no coz my laptops even louder
Fantastic tutorial... unfortunately, there's no way I can risk messing something up :( The conspiracy behind the way they make these is insane! Thank you so much for going slow and zooming in. Best tutorial I have seen!
man my laptop is like a jet engine, when i start my laptop it goes crazy loud. Btw it is a fact.
"can you hear that noise" no my laptop sounds like Zeus thunderbolts
😂😂😂
PLS- SMAE😭✋
Great instructional video. Thank you. One thing I do when removing the various size screws from a laptop is to use some wide masking tape sticky side up to hold the screws. I create a mini map of the the screw locations on the tape (screw from top left comer, to top left corner of masking tape etc). I also do this for the internal crews that hold the main board and other components in position.
Thank you for this helpful video. I'm 71 and now have lots more information and will use my vacuum regularly to try to keep the fan from overheating.
Just fixed my loud noise problem my "vacuuming" the vents underneath my laptop! It's never been so quiet! Thank you GuruBrew!
I'm actually pretty grateful you made this video. You've really helped me out here. My laptop has been doing exactly the same thing.
Just used vacuum cleaner on my old HP l/top and its now nice and quiet, and when it gets worse,i`ll know what to do ,Thanks .
Your blanket explanation was extremely helpful. Thank you. I just got a new laptop and the fan noise was driving me crazy. That's because I was sitting on the couch with the laptop sitting on a blanket, pressed against my lap. Now that I've moved it to a flat surface, the fan hasn't come on once.
Classic Video. Cool, Calm, and Experienced! You see this when someone is really good at what he does.
Thumbs up!
I appreciate you taking time out of your day for this very helpful video. I was able to pause/play my way through r&r on my G6 Pavilon. Also I like finally a video where there's voice narration instead of a sound track with fast video. I'm new to laptops. Cya dude, thanks again!
That moment when you're too scared to do this.
IKRRRRR BUT MY LAPTOP SOUNDS LIKE A JET PLANE RN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Older laptop like the one in the video are really complicated to take apart. If you have a newer version laptop it will be easier.
Yup I'm like. "I think il just deal with the noise (Blasts music) lmao.
My fan sounds like a car, neeeerrrrrrgghhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhgggggghgggggghhhhh and its louder than my 100% audio.
omg same
Same
I have 8 speakers and my laptops louder
same
Sameeee
You have given me confidence to tackle this problem on my own PC, thank you.
I tried the vacuum first as you had said and now my laptop is working perfectly. Thank you.
its good until you vacuum the fan out of ur laptop
"Can you guys hear the fan noise from this laptop?"
Me: trying to listen over the screaming of my own laptop.
Me: "WHA'D YOU SAY??"
Thank you so much. It seems easy now that you showed every step! Really helpful. :)
Great video man, very honest and helpful advice.
Thanks for the upload.
I cleaned my laptop after 8 years of daily use and now my fan is louder than ever.
Thanks so much for sharing your know-how, I am a novice at this and it is really daunting to try to clean the fan ... but I think after I get the service manual and watch your video a few more times I may take the plunge and try to clean the fan. :)
you are cool man !! Thanks for the video... Been watching many other videos... But yours is the one that helped...
That's really a lot of disassembly work. My Lenovo G560 is now 5 years old and the fan has started to make noise, but only takes a few screws to take the fan out from the back cover
My laptop sounds like a timed bomb
Same
fantastic video! thank you, gurubrew, for sharing it!
Thanks GuruBrew, the vacuum cleaner trick worked on my computer. It's much quieter now.
hi Steve all your videos are great,i'm an old baby boomer and been watching and subscribed to channels for years they are informative easy to understand. keep up the good work
that was very interesting and helpful thank you so much for making this video keep making more as these people know just how to take your money not so with this knowledge
Thanks for helping me fix my pavilon. Now on to the pavilion
No way. You are my Hero Today. It fixed mine.
HP Pro book 6460b. I didn't have to do a lot of opening because of how is built.
Thanks man. This is 2020 and this Video is 4 years now. It''s July. I t worked for me.
This video came right on time! My Toshiba laptop has had the loud fan problem for months, and now it's overheating. I told my Dad, who used to service laptops, and he told me to replace the fan. I was a little freaked out at the idea, so to buy time, I started using my husband's newer Toshiba laptop. We've only had it since Christmas, and yes, it decided to start making THE SAME NOISE. I was in a mild state of panic until I checked my e-mail the other day and saw this video in my RUclips digest. I've watched your handy tips and now feel ready to try disassembling my machine. (And I'm going to vacuum my husband's laptop vents and stall the job there if I can.) As a side note, thank you for describing the type of screwdriver you use. We are still building up our tool inventory and haven't yet bought one that works for tiny screws. I will use your advice and get a good one. Especially since we now realize fan vent problems go along with owning Toshiba laptops. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for being so detailed and easy to understand.
Thank you for your kind words, just so happens tomorrows video addresses taking apart a Toshiba computer that may be of some use to you, so look out for that.
Nice job Steve
Thank you so much!!!!
I've never heard of a pavalon
Hp = something pavalon
I LOVE how you tell people complaining about stupid shit to basically fuck off and go away. LOL. I will just say THANK YOU for taking the time to put this video up.
My computer runs cool yet the fan still runs..
Download fan controller software
Thanks man.... just halfway through your video I knew this is going to be the most insightful video I have watched till today, n I hav watched at least 20 on cleaning out the fan and replacing the heat paste. I was always looking for how to be careful with the connectors, coz the last time I took apart my toshiba A660, I broke the keyboard connector without knowing how it works. so this time I wanted to get in there not before knowing how to handle those as there a bunch of those and you simply nailed it for me ! Great work chief... thanks once again ! :)
Keep all the tips (the most useful part) pouring in for all the beginners out here... great work, if people just had the patience and confidence to open up the laptops, you are saving thousands of dollars for the users everyday !
thanks for your comments. I often get a lot of negative feedback because i tend to give to much information and some just dont have the patience to listen.
@@GuruBrew I'll concede to it as a Gen Z problem, true 👀
Thanks for this. Great tutorial.
Thanks for suggesting googling the service manual. Idk why people are complaining about pavilion/pavlon/papillon pronunciation. Im saving this video for the next time someone needs to learn basic repair methodology 👍.
Thanks mate, I have disassembled my Thinkpad and took out a thick "duster" layer of dirst from the heatsink lamels similar to yours on video. All quiet now and laptop stopped shutting down intermittently due to over heating. I am waiting for new Huawei Matetbook X Pro to be released - it comes with fan-less liquid cooling system, so no such issue in the future and totally quiet.
Cheers, I always thought it was just too slow, but playing any computer game and it over- works the fan. Those birds profiteering from your shreds :)
Excellent instructional video. I wish I was brave enough to dismantle my Apple laptop.
I have to smash mine in each different places each time to make it shut up.
ayo genshin player😩 my laptop makes loud noises whenever i play genshin😟
@@enasamni4026 same
Lmao this made me laugh so hard
Wow the vacuum method actually worked !!! thank you so much
❤️
Extremely well made tutorial. Many thanks, Sir! :)
Good teaching and demonstration!
so helpful thank you!
Thank you very much, sir!
Cheers!
Excellent info in simple manner.
This video was very helpful thank you
Thanks, fixed my laptop fine
It is definitely useful video. thank you very much for great help
Good video, Even you in the end of the video have explained that WHY they haven't make it fixable. That is the gift of corporate world where the poor has to pay more, and have more pain. God Bless you and God bless America.
it takes nerves of steel to not punch my laptop when he does this sound
Worth watching, good tip on removing ribbon cable connections.
Guru, i love your tips and videos
I did exactly what you said vacuming the laptop, except I took it apart and did it that way to be sure got all of it and looking over the laptop realized the thermal paste was as dry as the Nevada desert and applied new paste it helped a lot hopes this helps other people struggling with this, thank you! @GuruBrew
Thank you!
Can you do a follow up video on the TV antenna?
Thank you very much for the tips
its very very horrifying to watch dismantling laptop..I'd rather prefer it to it by expert not by myself in anycase
I tried at once for installing RAM...but after that condom ruptured...thn I 've to fixed it via an expert
I took mine apart with almost no problems. One of my screws was almost stripped and idk if I can unscrew it anymore since I don’t have a small enough screwdriver
Gamers Nexus is Tech Jesus. Jays two cents is the Watercooling Doctor. Linus tech tips a crazy madman. That will drop something. But you have a very soothing voice. As we learn some Tech. You sir have a new subscriber.
after clearing the dust, fan noise has done, it helps thanks for your time.
This dude is a passive-agressive Bob ross. I subbed
i got my first laptop and fan noises are so irritating already 😭 sometimes when i have my headphones i dont knoe if its raining or its my laptops fan noises
Great thanks good video but I'm good at taking things apart and putting them back but in this case might get someone else to do it. Bit worried about stuffing up. Thanks again 🖖
I have an old HP Pavilion with very loud cycling fan. I turned it off and used my large shop vac with needle tip with suction applied to the fan port grate and other cooling ports. Large dust particles came out. I downloaded Speccy and Speedfan freeware. I launched MS Essentials and Spybot full scans to load the CPU to 100%. I watched temperature rises and the fan came on progressively to cool the CPU and Cores to within operating specs. I will elevate the rear of the laptop about 1/4" to ensure better flow characteristics. Your video will help if things ever get worse. Thanks!
Literally yesterday I was using my laptop and suddenly my laptop became soo hot and started making noises I havent cleaned my laptop since the day I bought it. I have a dell n5110 I will clean it wish me luck its soo slow
EDIT: i cleaned my laptop and its much better no noise nothing blowing cool air as it should :) I m happy
Sorry for asking, what did you did to clean it, I mean what kind of tool?
thank you for sharing, Dell here as well, and tooooo scared to open it and destroy that helps make my living!!
@@Nisaaaaaaa23 hi i just used some alcohol and a toothbrush
@@kavigorana hiiii yeah no problemo mate good luck for ur laptop just be carefule with the lcd cause its fragile
I bought a Samsung NP370R5E 15 inch notebook in 2013 which is practically noiseless. So apparently it is possible to build silent notebooks.
Thanks for that, top man!
Thanks for sharing this information. I'm dealing with an HP and have to rip it down to the bones to install a new fan and it was frustrating pulling it apart. They have some of the screws hidden; two are under two foot pads and one was under a sticker that looked like a plastic piece built into the chassis. You were right in that they need to make it hard/impossible so we purchase another one. Well, not me. My new fan will be here Tuesday. $12 off Amazon. Also, if you want to leave the business, you have a future in RUclips ASMR community.
Very nice teardown/repair video. At work I order the EliteBook series of laptops and the difference between the consumer and enterprise laptops are so different. With the Elitebook series, the bottom panel comes off and you have access to the fan, SSD/HDD, RAM and everything else without having to tear into the laptop like the consumer versions.
Keep up the great videos.
Great video! Very cool!
It doesn't bother me , I just wanna know if it's bad
Is it?
yes it is bad, might damage other components and even make you lose your stuff or really just break the fan and require a replacement for a few hundred $ like he said - usually this is why you don't place your laptop over your bed or any fabrics, just hard surfaces.
I found this video to be really helpful, but I would recommend cranking up the playback speed to 1.5. It's still perfectly understandable and it doesn't take 20 minutes to get through it.
Thanks for video.
sweet, I was looking for a solution to my loud fan. Thanks
Great Helped me a lot
My laptop sounds like itd engine and on top of that like its crying for a second from time to time i hope i'm not too late to take it and get it fixed?
Im just a kid and u wanted me to take apart my parent's laptop wow :P
Thanks for the help, Wish I knew these damn Hp laptops get hot and heated my workstation keeps shutting down gonna try and clean the fan, thanks again
Isn't gonna be a good idea also to change the thermal paste on CPU and GPU?
thank you
My Sony VAIO had the same problem and after a nice cleaned up it really fixed the humming noise; however, it comes back at times particularly when one is working with multiple applications. I'll try upgrading my old hard drive for an SSD, a Micro Center tech recommended me that too.
Thank You So Much!
I'd love you to take apart my Acer 5733 laptop, so designed, never to be taken apart., I have a noisy fan that I have to live with because to get to the fan, you are looking at a major strip down, just about every component has to come off to get to the motherboard, who ever designed it needed a brain transplant, apart from that though, its a good laptop. I bought one of those fans that the laptop seats on to keep the temperature down and it seems to work.I know that's only a temporary solution, but it never overheats to the point that it shuts down, I done all the usual fixes like the can of air, with the same results, noisy fan going up and down every 2 or 3 minutes. I not too fussed, as the laptop does all I need it to, so I'm happy. Good video btw.
Nice Video! Thank you!
my fan doesn't get loud mine makes a noise kind of how a DVD player makes when reading a disc and i don't know what to do i need help ASAP
McB MERKS so does mine
same, did you fix it? i need an answer to my problem because i want to use my laptop again (i haven't used it in the worry of breaking it)
@@cloud-vf4wz I just blow into my laptop as hard as I can and see if it stops, usually it does but after 10 minutes it comes back
Mines a mix with that and his but LOUDER
Same here ....any fixes please
Thank you for making this video, it was very useful. But, it is true, HP made it difficult to get to the fan. But thank you.
Is it normal that I have this issue with a brand new laptop?
I do too but I don't think I will take apart my laptop to fix it
No. when its new the bearing needs to be used beacuse its stiff or its out of place
XxPeruvianGamersxX yes
I have this laptop for at least 5 months and at most 6 months and it suddenly vibrates now, I don't know if it was like that from the start and I am just being paranoid but what do you people recommend I should do? This laptop is very expensive and it's the first time I've ever had a laptop.
same! i just bought this computer and it just began to make rhythmic sounds and its scary D:
Thank you so much
Thx! I subscribed keep it up :)
Thanks for some help
thanks for the helped subbed working now
