And nowadays you are smart to get those hooks back, with our upside-down planet (read FJB) you might find the shelves empty next time in the tackle shop. Keep o keeping on friend. Btw that looks like a ideal fishing local. Reminds me of onion creek way south of Austin TX where I grew up.

    It’s very sad that the area we live is toxic. The wildlife and fisheries department posted a warning against eating any of our area fish because of high mercury levels and other problems. So many of our waterways have been ruined because of industrial and agricultural pollution. Makes me wonder how long it will be before the sport of fishing is a thing of the past. When I was a young boy, our family relied on fish and wild game for food. You couldn’t pay me to eat any fish caught locally now. I can remember creeks and streams that were safe to drink from. Those days are long past and I honestly don’t think clean waterways will ever return. I’m not an environmental nut job or tree hugger but it’s plain to see that mankind has destroyed much of our planet. Even if serious clean up measures were to be put in place it would take many generations to put a dent into the damage we as people have caused in such a short time.

      No problem at all, thanks for the kind words!! The rod I use is made by (13 fishing) an the particular rod is the Fate 13, it's a 7'1 MH action!! I'm probably gonna stock all my reels with the 13 fishing rods they are unbelievable for fishing an I've caught some monsters that I don't have videos of on that rod. I highly recommend for sure!! Thanks for the question an for watching, I do appreciate that!!!👍👍

    I've noticed that you don't need a whole big worm to attract a bluegill. Just a small piece on a number 12 will do just fine.
    Another option, if the Canadian nightcrawlers get too expensive.
    I can hear "y'all come from the south"... Try a ribbon of pork rind.
    Big at one end and tapering off to an end, kinda tadpoll shaped, maybe an inch long, on a number 10 hook. Keel rigged, like a miniature bass rig.. I'm not sure if it will work where you are, but it certainly Works where I am!

    • @StompinDirt
      @StompinDirt  2 года назад

      Hey thanks for that tip I really appreciate it for sure, usually on those big worms I generally just use a quarter of them at a time for the most part! The ribbon of pork I have not tried yet but now I most certainly will!!! Thanks for watching I appreciate it!!👍👍
