This mix of commentary videos and more creative videos is definitely going amazing so far! I hope these videos get more attention, you deserve it Joel :)
I noticed Adele’s tone has always been like a Cello when it resonates that lucious tone just comes out. With her voice and her technique it can give so much emotion. I do notice when she's feeling a bit emotional when singing live she can be pitchy. And now, i notice as well her timbre became a bit lighter, maybe due to her weight loss (props to her). You could say her tone is a bit more refined and lost a little saturation on her voice. haha

I appreciate seeing this from the perspective of a vocal coach; to have one's singing career presented as the ever evolving working journey of one's voice.
I remember when “Rumor Has It” was always on the radio. I adored the song and I had always sang it since I was young child. And it still holds a spot in my heart.
Not a huge Adele fan myself but she’s definitely an amazing singer and I can appreciate the meaning/emotions/feelings behind her songs. I mean if her song comes on radio/playlist I’m not gonna turn off but I’m also not going to actively seek her out. Really enjoyed the collab with Gemma, her opinions/thoughts/insights were great, look forward to more videos with her in the future!!
I have so many opinions as a choir director. Accessibility is so important and as someone myself who is a “good” singer but not a great one, her music makes it so easy to show off your voice and sound good without adding a ton of runs or crazy stuff. It’s all about your tone. Also, I think so many people can sing and have great technique, but sometimes having the “perfect” voice is boring. Adele has so much uniqueness and rawness to her sound, and that’s why people crave voices like hers or Billie’s or Amy Winehouse’s, or even Halsey’s. We crave the imperfections and “Frogs” and unique vulnerable sounds because so many things are auto tuned to perfection. I think Roomie has talked about something similar to my comment before.
Really like this sort of more analytical ‘reaction’ video. Would love to see similar sort of thing deep diving and unpicking individual pop songs or career arcs - kind of like Adam Neely crossed with Song Exploder.
I listened to a vocal coach reaction of adeles voice change from her starting album she did alot of voice cracks in the beginning, almost everyone was like she sounded so different in album 19 she was a teenager, when she got to album 21 & 25 her voice defintely started changing from that lighter tone to a deeper one & definitely alot less voice cracks to how she sings now I 🥺 listening to album 30 its beautiful
I like to imagine that the change from the folksy music college was super deliberate and certainly advised by someone other than Adele herself. Her voice is amazing throughout her career as it is. The Amy influence can definitely be heard across her music though, for sure.
I feel like I learn so much more from these roomie videos! Even though the one’s like driving in third person gives me a good laugh but it’s nice to see you mix it up a bit 😄
Adele is such a classic and always will be a classic. Her voice is like an angel and I can’t wait for her new signals such as,” Hello” Edit: Thank you for the likes! This is the most I’ve gotten! ❤️❤️
At the royal Albert hall concert she has just performed someone like you (that one performance where everyone sings along ) and was very emotional so that made her voice much more strained. The performance of set fire to the rain earlier that night won the best solo pop performance of the year at the Grammys
I really like how Adele seem to have had control of her image, of how she has wanted to be portrayed. It is nice to see Female artists and artists in general being more and more in control of their own careers (at least I hope this is true).
@@PassionPno falsetto is easy when singing in a low volume, when you sing it loud it sounds squeaky and u might go too high. Thats why you see many singers not do falsetto live in big concerts unless they are Proper trained singers
@@user-mc5fg3fx5w Not sure about that. I remember I could do it really well. When I started my vocal lessons (I studied classical operatic singing), my teacher said I had pretty well-developed technique naturally, so I went straight into Grade 5 instead of starting from the very beginning.

Maybe it's psychological. As a person who sings I remember when I was slim I was able to sing with power and balance.
It may also have to do with people putting her down about her weight. Maybe she felt less confident singing.
