Hi Keith lovely to hear from you again! Yes I’m itching to get out there soon again unfortunately there is no guarantee that every session is as prolific as that! Good luck when you do get to fish it!! Cheers Ian
A 'Red Letter' day for sure, good company and plenty of fish, very enjoyable watch many thanks for the time and effort you all put in to get this out, tight lines.
Yes different styles of video which is always interesting…. Jake is developing his own channel I’m sure it will be a great success!!! Thanks for watching much appreciated cheers Ian
Yeah fabulous session Ian, your lad couldn’t stop catching ! He knows it’s dubbed the beach of broken dream right ? 😂. Chris the sole man ! appreciated as always 👍🏼👍🏼 Paul
Hi Paul yes I got totally outfished by Jake for sure!! I’m sure Chesil will bite him in the bum sooner rather than later!!😂 lovely to hear from you again cheers Ian
Hi Richard yes lovely fishing with Jake he did really well probably caught more nice fish than me and Chris but I definitely beat him on the dogfish count!😂😂☹️ Thanks for watching cheers Ian
I hope when you get down there that you have an enjoyable time…. If you pick the right day you can have a memorable time!!! Good luck for your future trip.., thanks for watching cheers Ian
Loved the video Ian . Good to see Jake doing well. I am in Madeira now and have been looking at the fish in the local supermarket some of which I haven’t seen before. Strangely I have yet to see anyone fishing. Stay safe and tight lines. Mike.
Hi Ian Enjoyable watching, as usual, cracking session, you must do your homework or are really lucky, I think the former ? Trust you are well, go steady Derek
Hi Derek I do keep a keen eye on the weather to be honest…., I’m thinking of going tomorrow I’ve only got frozen lug and squid but it should work…,,,,, Nice to hear from you as always cheers Ian
Good luck, we are looking at Thursday, weather looking OK, unfortunately my fishing partner (brotherinlaw) cannot walk too far, so always slightly restricted, but have fished together for many years, akin to you and Chris, but we enjoy our sessions and views, note views. Ha ha Have a good one Best wishes. Derek
Went down Abbotsbury last Tuesday after the Sunday storm - Was packed. Walked up towards and past the Dragons teeth and had a great session like you : A new fence is being put up by the teeth , be interesting to see the finished article ! Loads of pout , dogs but did manage 3 codling . Hope you survived the stag do !
Well done indeed!!! Definitely worth the effort to get past the teeth always much better fishing!!!!! Interesting about the fence….. not sure why it’s needed to be honest??? Cheers Ian
@@ianclarkfishing New fence posts being driven in from the bottom of the bank Fleet side and they had reached the end of the blocks seaward side . Thick wire mesh fencing was lying , ready to be fitted. I'm guessing they are trying to better protect the Fleet side of the bank per the signage which says no access during the winter to the fleet side and stick to the seaward side
Another brilliant video as always. I have subscribed to the tangled angler and looking forward to working my way through his videos. If he's learned from his dad, it will be another very good channel 😁🎣🐟
Hi Steve thanks for subscribing to Jake’s channel! He has the making of a good angler as he can read conditions well! As always thanks for watching much appreciated cheers Ian
Yes we had to go on top road then down to Portesham!😡 Apparently Abbotsbury to Weymouth closed this week too!!! Glad you enjoyed the video thanks for watching cheers Ian
Hi Ian enjoy your videos, fished Chesil yesterday (4 hour drive) but tide and bait availability ( could only source frozen every where we tried) where against us although we had a couple of bream and codling 7 species in total, We are wanting to have another trip in the very near future, any advice on what tides are best to aim for down there, I know southerly winds can be an issue if too strong so with a little more info if you don't mind we can make a good game plan and get geared up with some quality bait, thx , great beach, ours fished like that years ago but sadly they have diminished over the decades sadly.
Hi nice to hear from you I’m pleased that you enjoyed your visit to Chesil!! These calm conditions are great for the bream fishing they will be around another few weeks hopefully…. Rag tipped with a tiny bit of mackerel my favourite! A strong southerly or SW wind will colour the water while that brings in a few cod the nuisance species are about in plague proportions so personally I prefer it as it is now…. Calm and clear!! A northerly or east wind will give those conditions and aid casting!!! Having rag or black lug will definitely increase your catch!!! I hope you find that helpful! Cheers Ian
Wow what a Day Guys..Brilliant Vid as usual. You Boys can catch Fish. Can i be cheeky..When you say you use a pennel Rig..Do you mind me asking what size Hook you use. As it appears you use this Rig more than others. And catch lots of Fish.Any advice would be gratefull.👍
Hi Peter thanks for watching!! As a general rule I will hedge my bets hook size…. I used size 1 varivas saltwater champions o the video…. Any hook around that size works. I work on the theory that you can catch small and big fish on small hooks but only big fish on big hooks …. The relatively small size 1 hooks are ideal for worm baits Cheers Ian
Was lovely fishing with you Dad! 🎣
Always a pleasure son and safe to say that you outfished me and Chris on the day!!!! Love dad x
Superb video. What a range of species caught 👏
That’s very kind of you I really appreciate you watching do glad you enjoyed it!!! Cheers Ian
