Hi Wayne, really enjoying your videos, presentation and content spot on. Wish I’d have watched them BEFORE our trip to Abbotsbury back in June. My lad and I blanked unfortunately but still had an amazing day, on the mighty….Chesil Beach!! 😂 We walked up to nr fleet estuary, just to get away from the crowds. Walk is a killer, good for the calves though! Not put off (by a long stretch) but living in Leicestershire it’s a bit of a trek so got to coincide with holidays of some sort. Anyway thanks for all your effort in bringing us along with you on your trips!! 🎣🐟
The other year when myself and my lad had a week down the Bristol Channel and Chesil, we had our best session at West Bexington. Most of our success was down to watching your videos Wayne and the help of the guys at West Bay Angling. The walk over the pebbles was a killer, but well worth the effort to get away from the crowds and onto the fish! I was the dogfish king that week, whereas my lad had some nice hounds. I did manage a nice conger, but most of the time I was targeting the rays. I can’t wait to get back down there and pit my wits against the Mighty Chesil once again! It truly is a magical stretch of coast. Keep up the great work Wayne and thank you for your time, knowledge and experience as well as bringing us great, fun and educational content. Peace out buddy 🤘🏻
Perfect timing, I just blanked at Abbotsbury 2 days ago, but not just me, the entire beach did. I was just looking for new marks on Chesil. I’m only a beginner so I’ll follow these series closely, thanks for the content Wayne. Hopefully I’ll see you on the beach one day.
Hi wayne another cracking video for all the newbies to fishing chesil beach about rigs and bait etc but it's just about getting out there and give it a try don't matter how good we all are we all start some where best advice to them get down there and give it a go ps hope the grandsons OK again congratulations to you and the family🎉 keep them videos coming stay safe & tight lines
Fair play to you Wayne, you could easily have edited that crack off out and we'd never have known, keeping it real to prove it can happen to anyone. Great info on Chesil for anyone thinking of going down there. 👏
God bless winter parking rates, it cost me £15 on a windy rainy day at the end of October and I caught two baby pout all day when I was able to avoid the great big rafts of weeds floating by. Hopefully next Thursday will be better.
38 years fishing chesil and your only 40 41 to cast a beach caster out at 2 or 3 is impressive ....only mucking great video good advice for those looking to go give chesil ago ...
Excellent vid. I would imagine that most people will fully appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into this vid, regardless of their relative experience. I’m relatively inexperienced, and a very late comer to fishing at the age of …er…50-something, so content like this is golden. Maybe add in a ‘Wayne’s top-tip’ minute into other vids? Thanks for sharing. 👌👌👌👌👌🤩
I fished West Bexington the day after you with the full moon coming up behind the beach just after the sun went down , and had a fish a chuck , all Whiting and for me some of them were huge . My history on the beach of broken dreams has been just that , broken. ha ha I got some macks from Abbotsbury Tackle shop on the way down and as i said it was amazing. The sea was even calmer and clearer than you had if that is possible so it was great the sea the fish fighting their way in , something else I've never had. I even had two for me monsters on my own made pulley rigs , if i'm honest with myself I probably would have caught something on an empty hook ! I like to think it was my rigs though, which made having watched some of the previous videos, thanks Wayne. sorry to say I laughed out loud at crack off right at the start though. Is it normally ok to fish that close to the next people ? I find myself walking for ages to try and get away from the last angler on the beach to get them and me space to fish ! Brilliant start to the series mate and some great info in there as well , can't wait for the next ones Tight lines fella. Now back to you catching........................
Got to say I was impressed with your knowledge and I’ve learnt a lot out of this video ,I hate chesil beach with a passion but might give it a go soon, very informative cracking watch
Another good informative vid Wayne, cracking squid, never tried for them I must admit !! Two crack offs in one session bud not good, you’ll be up grading to a fixed spool soon 😂😂 great work Wayne you seem to be in a happy place in this one 👍
Love your videos buddy but can you do one of all your equipment like how you carry all your equipment as you seem to walk miles along chesil with ao much equipment, what you put your phone on to film ect.
Another great video Wayne. I've never fish west bexingham before. I always been chasing the larger fish like cod and conger, at dragons teeth or ferry boat. The one question i would ask you is when are the weather conditions to bad to fish, ie whats the maximum wind speed, sea conditions you can fish chesil. i have tried to fish in a SW 40mph gusting 50mph. but you can guess how that went... And to come back to the car at ferry boat to find it 6in deep in water.
Finally a show and tell how it must be done properly. QUICK QUESTION. Can you ship your rigs to Spain 🇪🇸?? If so, are there some import taxes or something else to pay??? Because sadly you ain't in EU. Many thanks 👍🙏
Certainly has been a squid bonanza these last few weeks, all gone now, weather and, sea nasty. One of the hazards of fishing opposite car parks and, easy access, people losing tackle, crack offs etc. Is the risk of snaring your rig.
Great video thankyou! Iv been on a coach trip twice to Weymouth and didnt realise how close Chesil Beach is. I will give it a go next time I am down there. Have to travel light tho but I carry far to much normally anyway. You showed even experienced anglers like yourself get crack offs etc!
im unsure if the shore hunter mentioned this, but if your fishing chesil beach close to isle of portland and its stormy with massive waves make sure to put the rod tips low so the line doesnt catch at the rocks the waves are throwing at the shore because it buries the line .Its an absolute nightmare to get the line out of there safely and usually ends up in a snap up.I wish i knew this before hand when i started my sea fishing there.
Absolutely love your videos and have been watching for a while, I am having a dabble myself at recording my sessions. What do you use to record please and thankyou ❤️
Another great video Wayne. Thanks. Quick question. What is your view of beach etiquette in terms of minimum space between each fisherman? It looked as if the bloke on your left was a lot closer than the blue on your right.
Biggest mistake I always make is hammer the bait as far as I can towards the horizon. Not much use if they are 20yds out lol. Best Bass I've had was caught 30yds out after mucking up the cast.
Hi Great video, as usual, recently purchased your “cod rigs” well made with good quality components, used a few days ago, dog feast, rigs performed bril, notice you use Asso line, could I just ask which particular line this is, as the breaking strain to poundage is good, many thanks in advance
As a fellow BCFC supporter I’m probably being really stupid but could you show us twats out here how to attach the hooks to the lead when casting. Come on you reds!!!!
It’s been nice to see that it’s not just us mere mortals that go to Chesil and blank on a day session. I love how this video is so genuine 😊
Thanks mate. I appreciate this

1st comment.. Yeaaaaaah boii. Thank you Wayne 🎣💪❤️🎣💪❤️
You got it!
Nice to see a angler enjoying whiting instead of moaning about them unfortunately in south east we don't get them decent size anymore
I love them.
Another good informative vid Wayne, cracking squid, never tried for them I must admit !! Two crack offs in one session bud not good, you’ll be up grading to a fixed spool soon 😂😂 great work Wayne you seem to be in a happy place in this one 👍
Thank you mate. I was happy thanks

Love your videos buddy but can you do one of all your equipment like how you carry all your equipment as you seem to walk miles along chesil with ao much equipment, what you put your phone on to film ect.
OK mate. I will try

It depends on the tide and weather storms. It can be all over the place
Finally a show and tell how it must be done properly.
QUICK QUESTION.
Can you ship your rigs to Spain 🇪🇸?? If so, are there some import taxes or something else to pay???
Because sadly you ain't in EU.

Certainly has been a squid bonanza these last few weeks, all gone now, weather and, sea nasty.
One of the hazards of fishing opposite car parks and, easy access, people losing tackle, crack offs etc. Is the risk of snaring your rig.
I've not seen this yet.
I've tried to fish exactly where you were but nothing. Interesting to watch and learn. Cheers Wayne
Cheers mate. Keep at it

Thank you for the information.
Thanks for your comments but you need to keep your rods up high, if you keep it low tbe like gets buried for sure.
You literally need to do the exact opposite of everything you just said 🤦🏻
Absolutely love your videos and have been watching for a while, I am having a dabble myself at recording my sessions. What do you use to record please and thankyou ❤️
Go pro mate. Go for it

Another great video Wayne. Thanks. Quick question. What is your view of beach etiquette in terms of minimum space between each fisherman? It looked as if the bloke on your left was a lot closer than the blue on your right.
He was my friend mate. Its nice to leave space, some people don't get it hey
Good Video bud 👍
Thanks mate
Biggest mistake I always make is hammer the bait as far as I can towards the horizon. Not much use if they are 20yds out lol. Best Bass I've had was caught 30yds out after mucking up the cast.
