Sion needs to be in constant battle to retain the memories of his old life, while Samira lives for the thrill of battle: they make the best duo.

“Weapons of Noxus” is such an interesting title for this clip…
First you have Sion, who was once a proud warrior of Noxus; but has since had his “glorious death” defiled by opportunistic tyrants; and is now nothing but a mindless, undead berserker.
Then you have Samira, who isn’t Noxian, or particularly believes in their cause, but fights for them because she is A) a mercenary, and B) because it’s THRILLING.
They are not CHAMPIONS of Noxus…at this point, they aren’t supporting their ideals, or swearing fealty…they are, quite literally, WEAPONS of Noxus…one by contract; the other by servitude.
It makes this such a clever pairing.
Animators: "We paired them up because that's what rito said, nice idea though."
Well samira do belive Noxus ideals, Shurima's regime (the ascended) destroyed her home and killed her parents, and nobody in shurima helped her because he wasnt worth the trouble, yet noxus saw her potential and gave her a home and a carrer, and a path were her skill matter and not if she was or wasnt decended of some furry demigod. She just like to play by her own rules and not serve the leaders of Noxus, probably because her bad experiences with authority, but she is definitly loyal to Noxus beyond her contract.
As a Samira main, that’s amazing. Samira is such a beast

Those who read lores will understand that this team up would never happen since Sion is erratic and unstable even if he's got Jarvan's blood literally stab to the back of his skull he is still somewhat erratic and slowly losing his sense of self.
well canonicaly a lot of time has passed since sion was resurrected, probably noxus would find a way to fix him little by little or maybe sion is regaining a little conscience .
But look closer, sion never interacted with samira, she just went with the flow of battle, even in the end sion is moves on ignoring samira
@@ngyiihan2338 Ye, I definitely feel its like that. I think Samira is keeping an eye on Sion like a babysitter watching a giant toddler. She's so use to the task that she understands his movements and acts accordingly. Sion seems to only understand that he shouldn't attack her, but when he is in rage mode she constantly has to dodge the friendly fire from him.

Because people who played League PC would know that If this was lore Sion then Sion would not just shove Samira away but swing his axe on her, this Cinematic is for marketing purpose only, because no high ranking commander or General in the right mind in Noxus would pair Sion up with one of there best in their current generation or even agree to be paired up with Sion lol 😂
Let me summarize the lore of Sion
Basically, Sion was a brutal Warlord during the bygone era, a general of Noxus during its early/expansion days, he alone March against an army of Demacia and killed Jarvan I(his mechanical jawbone is made of Jarvan I crown) thus earned his title the "Kingslayer" but he also died as well. The Grand General of Noxus at that time Boram Darkwill reanimated Sion however he is killing enemies and allies alike so they imprisoned him inside his tomb. Generation had pass the current Grand General of Noxus Jericho Swain have planned to unleash and use Sion on the coming war because he knew the missing component to controlling him "the blood of his killer, Jarvan I" swain used Jarvan I descendant's blood, the blood of Jarvan IV and stuck it in the back of Sion's skull and retain some of his humanity or sense of self, thus Sion's will is bound to Swain however he is still erratic and slowly losing his sense of self
@@D.Valenzuela The current lore, after gaining Jarvan's IV blood, Sion retained some part of his humanity and sense of self and during the time of Awaken Cinematic, noxian soldiers appear not to be afraid of him anymore he knows who is the enemy and who is not because he only charged at Irelia however he doesn't care if he run over his allies as you see noxian soldiers moving away from him he also does not care for his allies well being, it's just that he knows who is his enemies are.
At least sion's teeth is less obvious here

On wild rift, Samira is good if you know how to play her, Sion is such a poor state even if he's tanky, it's just too easy to go against a sion.
Good Samira builds lifesteal and crits, she needs to sustain long enough to proc her S ult. So many ppl go jus dmg and she dies before she use her ult.

The duo we didn't know we needed
I still wonder why they gave Samira a gunblade but don't acknowledge it. Her up-close Q has the sword explode, and she even reloads it during her walking animation sometimes, but they only ever say "her sword" when talking about it. It's like whoever designed the animations and weapon model had gunblade in mind, but that's about it.
Hopefully we get a purely gunblade focused character someday..

This clip got it all wrong. First Sion has to run past the enemy. Then he proxy-farms a few waves. When they engage onto him he ults to run away while screaming "Cowards!".

I imagine Samira was thinking about killing Sion at the end but didn't because she thought, "they'd just revive him again." Ultimately deciding not to, to avoid the paperwork back home.
