Wish you would have showed how to get the pump out and back in and hook hoses up thanks maybe make another videos with complete process this is a great idea would like to see exactly how you did it step by step thanks again
Me too , I was quoted the same price 1000 for the fuel pump on my Tahoe , I cut mine and made a latch to access my pump , wish i would have saw this first instead of buying the whole unit , thanks tho , will do for my upgrade
Thanks! My brother did the same on his suburban. I've got my 2000 Jimmy apart, to repair the sending unit, and everyone is telling me to replace the pump, the whole unit to the tune of about $200. I'd appreciate a pointer, as to where to access the actual pump, as you did. Surprised at all the nay-sayer comments!
This video is very arguable without letting us know what pump or part number fits in the reusable sending unit since most distributors only advertise it as a one piece option with pump and sending unit all included assembled
I've purchased 2 fuel pumps (motors) for 2001 Saturn SL2, one like for $19, but then decided to get better one for ~$50. They both have small filters (socks), one for the bottom of the motor, and another for the sending unit (bottom as well). In every bag with the sock there is a very small metal washer (has shape of a daisy, ~1/4" in outer diameter, inner D ~1/16"). Could you tell where do they go? I didn't see them on the original assembly after I disassembled it. Thank you for the great film.
I just pulled apart the fuel pump on my wife's Buick Lucerne, 2008. Figured out how to actually get the pump out, now where can I find the part number and where to shop for the pump only? Thank you! :)
Thank you , I like your no nonse aproach. Great job thank you again. Now I have the confidence to take care of this myself thanks to you Mark,
Fantastic! I'm shocked there's not more views and comments. Thanks man!

And where do you find the replacement hoses since they have to be cut?

I like the seal design on this assembly. I'm not a fan of the regular O-Ring that some Gm vehicles have.
