I ran into a similar situation about a year ago. I had certain things I didn’t want to compromise on. For instance, I wanted it to work with communication apps, and I found that my iPhone would switch from the digital audio device to the internal mic when using similar products. I ended up making a passive analog direct box that can connect my mic, line/instrument, or mixer to my smartphone.

So I can plug my DJ controller's RCA to XLR into this and this into my pc and have audio come through my pc headphones/speakers for livestreaming? I've been trying to get audio out of my controller into my pc for streaming for a month now.

Whats up. I brought the IRig Pro Duo to use it for my Live Stream on Periscope and Live Me and LiveStream and Tiny Chat it work great when I'm on my phone or stream on my laptop with my webcam. This really came in handy I love it. Also use the SC4 Rode Mic for my phone when I go live on Periscope and Live Me which its a lot of fun. Great sound-card. Funk Up Salute Peace and Salute

One question what do folks like for mic/earpiece (wireless). For example for music to ear for dance instructor (who's mic'd for the glass). Bluetooth headset as we know are at best unreliable, but really like to keep the setup reasonable (and avoid RF Sony or Senheiser mic+monitors >$500)
Probably soomething like an IEM.
So do you have to use headphones is there no way to set up monitors to playback for you via booth. Without it bleeding into your livestream

@@zachbest703 I think that the Irig Stream is stereo/mono (you can choose the output mode) but rca(unbalanced) input only. Sound quality should be better with Irig pro duo.

Well Yes...it's always good to have a external audio device ;-) I'm using my 6i6 focusrite for streaming....and I can't complain...very good audio quality ;-)

What are you plugging into the front of your controller after you test it through the headphones? Are you just plugging your headphones back in?

How do you avoid a copyright strike when streaming live or uploading a video? Or do you only play your own music
Basically, you can't avoid it. If it strikes, it strikes. There's no "golden rule" about what music not to play. (other than "no music at all"). Sometimes your stream will just be put on mute for a while, other times it will be stopped. No way around it, other than if you're a HUGE corporation like Cercle (live streaming delux, check them out here on RUclips), they must have cleared (paid for) all the music beforehand for streaming rights with the record companies. (read = expensive).

@@deejayfeelbad easy when the show is over we'll take the video down and put up on a video hosting site never avoid that kind of problem but now you two got good algorithm where they can catch your stream in real time I found that out the hard way with my cousin wanted to upload a video of the New Zealand shooting they stopped his upload at 30% except his upload in there no audio to it didn't matter they caught his upload in real time and stopped it being uploaded this is kind of frightening because now you two can stop uploads what's the algorithm skins your video and I got fucking proof DM me and I'll show you this is very dangerous now content providers cannot make any kind of free speech

You plugged your master out of your controller/mixer in the audio Interface? How do you get the sound to your speakers/monitors ? Booth ?
Is there a way to get audio routing via USB intro your computer or interface and then into your phone? In the past i plugged my second soundcard on my mixer intro computer where obs is running to have no latency
Sebastian Most professional DJ controller has two master output. So you can have one for the speakers and the other for the duo rig. At least that’s what I would try.
Where can I purchase the RCA to quarter inch cable?
Go to your local music store. Most places will have an 1/8 inch to rca and then just buy a quarter inch adapter

Could you let me know how to synchronize audio and video on OBS? I tried to adjust the delay settings in Advanced Audio Properties, but I never got it right... the delay time seems to fluctuate according to the internet situation or computer performance...
So this is only necessary if you don't have an aux port?
YO HAR!... crazy question for you... doing a DJ 2x4 but over the internet .. how can it be done.. example DJ A (ENGLAND) example DJ B (LA) but doing a 2x4 dj setup and spinning on same mix live and streaming...
I hope this isn't too dumb a question, but can I use this to record video and audio on my phone, which I could later upload to RUclips or social media at a later time, rather than live streaming? I was using the god-awful Roland Go Mixer pro to record video and audio into my phone, but the fucking thing doesn't work with Android anymore!

If the sound is going directly into the rig from a master out, how is it you can still hear external noise when you start to perform?

It’s 2021 i have irig Pro duo and it seems not working for livestreamin and everytime i use to recording my DJ set there is a sound distortion so bad.

Just bought it. Didn't get the power adapter yet, but when I play it back from Fb live the tempo is slower than the regular bpm...whats up with that? i have a note 5 (dont judge me LOL). Do i need to upgrade my android?

i have a problem, i try to connect with both 1/4 cable from Irig to my Pionner SX2 (in Booth) cuz i don't have the other cable, then i connect my iPhone to streaming live in facebook, but here is the problem: In my iMac when i try to listen like everyone else, the volumen is very low, and if i go up in gain, Irig level go to red, also if i go up volumen in Booth in my controller also go RED even if i put gain low. What i can do?.

So when you show how to set it up to do dj livestream I don't get how do I hear the music that you play, does it come from the speakers ? The way I would like to do is to connect my audio interface to dj controller but I would also connect microphone to the controller because I would say few words before I start my live session and on the end to thanks my audience for watching. Also I was thinking of connecting my controller to my studio monitors, that's why I don't understand how am I hearing the music that you play when you connect first your headphones to interface to run a test and then when you connect to dj controller.
Depends what kind of outputs your DJ controller has. If it only has ONE output, then you'll need to split that to both be able to hear it via speakers, AND record it via your interface. Other controllers have several outputs, as in master out on both XLR or jack, and a "master 2" on RCA's. Some controllers will also have a separate booth output, which you'd also be able to use for one of the purposes.

@@yarkel3721 Well - in that case I would connect the master XLR outputs to your monitors, and then a set of 1/4 inch jack leads from your "booth" outputs to the jack inputs of your interface.
I'd have no problem buying a 2nd lappy if I could afford that surrounding environment! Thats easily 20-30k+

All you need is a iRig 2, as 99.9% of the djs a know all use these, compat with iPhone's, iPad's, Mac's and now even Android Phone's ;o)
Yes, all you need is an iRig2 if you want shitty sound in mono. Your phone's audio converter (which is used when you go in through the jack) is made to convert speech, so that a phone conversation can be heard - not in any way meant to convert music audio to stream. Only way to get stereo and decent sound on your live stream is with an external interface of some kind (either the iRig pro duo, or perhaps the Roland GO:mixer), that goes in through the lightning port.

Hello, do I need this adaptor if I want to stream straight from my synth to the the computer in facebook? when streaming , the application ask me if I want to use the input audio to vehicle the sound but sound doesn't pass through at all.
I JUST BOUGHT MY iRig pro duo because of this video. FIRST OF ALL, THE BATTERY SECTION OF THE BS I BOUGHT ISNT WORKING so I had to Bus-power it with my pc so occupied the port I coulda used to connect my iPhone or iPad for streaming. 2. THEN I TRIED DOWNLOADING THE APP AS SHOWN ON THE MANUAL AND THEIR WEBSITE SAID ITS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! The registration link on the manual is also broken so I don't get it! They promote a product that comes with a manual that directs you to a broken link or unavailable app? So why the hell did I spend 250 euros for it?? Is the soundcard usable without the app? . For a musician who just wanna do music and not have tech headache, this is child's play. NOT RECOMMENDED until they take their own product more seriously.

Awesome video but i cant help to notice your aucustic treatment, you should put bass traps in all of those corners! And you should definitely concider changing out those Rokits for some Pioneer gear, more specifically the older version S-Dj08 if you do electronic music production? or the newer Yamaha HS 7/8 perhaps Adams if the budget allows it, believe me my brother from another mother, i changed from Rokits 8s to my Pioneer speakers and the sound is just next level! I mean how come you have that much gear, and chose to go with such mediocre speakers?

Yes but I noticed fb and instagram have started flagging videos with certain songs which is so annoying
They will stop your stream and you will have to restart so make sure you are watching your stream too while you stream

Hey, when setting up OBS I'm taking audio from my soundcard, which is my Xone K2, but people can hear whatever i'm monitoring as well, could you please hlep me with this? I've tried eveything, the K2 un audio output is set up as "(Shared Mode)" I've tried on Exclusive mode but OBS doesnt detect any sound. Not sure how to fix this so people dont hear my cue.
Play with your faders when you're out of shared mode... Make it detect the audio on all your channels.
