    Cleats, better substitute for nubs. Looks like they designed the recovery board to work as a bottle jack base too. Nice.

    Life hack for using a propane fire pit (I’ve been using them since people would yell at you for HAVING A FIRE!!”). It’s possible to freeze to death next to a propane fire. We use ours inside a screened in room. The screen holds in enough of the heat to be surprisingly comfortable on cool nights. Screened in rooms aren’t as glamorous as all the rooftop goodies they are selling these days, but bugs. I also run a fire pit that’s not as powerful as the ammo can featured in this video.

    • @TrailNewbie
      @TrailNewbie  10 месяцев назад +1

      That is a great tip! Ya, the propane pit definitely can’t replace a good wood 🪵 burning fire 🔥. But when bans are in place in California, it sure is nice to have something simple and effective like the Tacticool. 😃😃

    Like your videos, I have a 2019 wrangler with no roof rack. Im interrested in getting the moon shade. Do you have a video out showing the clamp assembly to attach the moon shade to your roof?

      Yes, if you go back and watch the video called Hurricane, I show some quick shots of it. Also, if you have Instagram, feel free to reach out to me there and I can give you some pointers! Thank you for watching and for your comment! I really appreciate it! 😀

    Just in time to add to my wish list! Is that firepit the same one you took to Death Valley back in April?

    • @TrailNewbie
      @TrailNewbie  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yo Victor!!! No, I’m pretty sure that I brought my Kuma round fire pit for that trip. That pit is AWESOME too, but it’s so bulky for my needs. I got this one at Overland Expo PNW this year. Tacticool is such an awesome small business!! Tell SANTA to use Promo Code TRAILNEWBIE for 10% off. 😃😃🙌🏼👊🏼👏🏼🙌🏼👏🏼

    • @TrailNewbie
      @TrailNewbie  10 месяцев назад +2

      Hi 👋 back at-cha! 😃 That is the Trailrax Pak Rak for Jeep JL. I have a wrangler, not a Gladiator. I’m not sure what options there are for a Gladiator from Trailrax if that is what you happen to have. 😅 Thank you for watching!! 👊🏼🙌🏼

    What are those mounts that you have the gas tanks on?

    • @TrailNewbie
      @TrailNewbie  7 месяцев назад

      Great question! I think you are referring to the Rotopax on the side of my Jeep. Those are mounted using Rotopax mounts and the part that is attached to the side of the Jeep is called the Pak Rax by Trailrax. Thank you for watching and for your comment! I really appreciate it! 😀

    Put my order in for the tacticool! So do i still need to get a fire permit with this pit?

    • @TrailNewbie
      @TrailNewbie  11 месяцев назад

      OH!! That is awesome!! So glad you liked that one! 👏🏼👊🏼🙌🏼😃 It is my understanding that you still need a permit for it - to be used for dispersed type camping. 🏕️😃 Thank you for watching and for the comment!!! Also for supporting Tacticool!! They are a small business and it’s really awesome that you can support! 😃🙌🏼👊🏼👏🏼 Hoping you were able to use the TRAILNEWBIE promo code for 10% off! 😃

    Are the recovery ropes made in the usa?

    • @TrailNewbie
      @TrailNewbie  10 месяцев назад

      As far as I know, they are manufactured in China. You’d need to reach out to the company to be sure. But this is the case with other similar products but companies like Rhino USA. There are however Made in the USA alternatives like Yankum Ropes. 😃👊🏼
