    Thanks for sharing brother. I just had this exact mower given to me and it had the exact issue with the pull string and that was it. Love this thing it cuts great and doesn’t bog down in thick grass even being a lower revving engine. Very impressed I feel like I got a killer deal. Oh and the electric start doesn’t work but I don’t even care about that feature I’m sure it works with a new battery I may fix it for the heck of it

      They really are great mowers that's awesome that you were able to get such a good deal on it and all it needed was A pull string!

    I have this mower. And love it. I believe it’s a 2007 or 2008. And it still runs with no issues. People complain about the power more engines. But mine seems to be lasting. Like I said no issues. Just make sure you store them right. At the end of the season.

      I couldn't agree more you got to make sure you store them correctly and these mowers or any mower can last you a very very long time. I was surprised to find that this one had no issues other than the pull cord as soon as I put it on it started really easy. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment I really appreciate it

    I have two different Cub Cadet self-propelled lawn mowers. The self-propelled works but when you pull the lawn mower backwards the Wheels lock up is there a video or something to fix this

    • @ils360
      @ils360  Год назад +1

      I believe that's normal for these models correct me if I'm wrong. Honda's are the same way they go forwards but they have a ratcheting system that doesn't like to go backwards only forward. That's why on the front wheel drive systems that do that you just push down slightly on the handlebars lifting the front wheels to go backwards or to turn around. If it's not normal he might just take the wheels off making sure nothing gets lost and he springs or anything checking cleaning and very light lubrication then putting it back together.

      @@ils360 I'll Take Everything a loose tomorrow on both of them and all it in clean it up. I found both of these on the side of the road maybe 3 years ago and both of them running real strong that's the only issue that I'm having is with the wheels

    I have a Cub Cadet 173cc self-propelled mower from 2006 and ordered a replacement carb for it but the fuel inlet on the carb is smaller than the one on the original carb and it leaks when I try to clamp the fuel hose on it. The new carb came with a smaller hose that will fit the inlet but is not as long as original larger hose to reach the tank. How can I fix that? I tried putting the smaller hose into the larger hose and it doesnt leak but the mower will not start. Is there a special reducer type of connector that I can get to properly connect the two hoses or another remedy? I put a new spark plug in and I think the gaskets for the new carb are in proper order, it doesnt appear to leak anywhere but the fuel inlet when the larger hose was attached of course.

    i have this same mower and i put the carberator in an ultrasonic cleaner for like 45 minutes and it still jsut starts and stalls.. new filter and everything i couldnt remove the middle jet though its jammed in there so im thinking thats the culprit...theres a whole plugg it one of thsoe smaller jet but i cant access them . im wonder what that choke level is for also mine jsut slips back into the end position.

    • @ils360
      @ils360  6 месяцев назад +1

      If it's starting and shutting off it would most likely be that center jet you might be able to poke through it with a piece of wire or sewing needle then spray through with some carburetor cleaner and see if that helps All of the Jets need to be open enough to flow fuel and it should stay running

    I have no clue how the cord actually connects once you put it back in the rotor? You just stick it in and it will magically attach? Got lost on that part sorry

    Should have checked the spark plug gap to make sure it was set right. Just because they're supposed to be pre- set isn't always true. I've had some that were way off

    This is I think a Powermore engine. I just picked up the same one .
    I just got it going but leaked a little gas still , so I added a fuel shutoff.
    Good vid there , should be just like a Honda recoil
    There are a few design issues with the engine I found
    The gas tank opening is on wrong side. So when you tip it over to drain oil . Gas also comes out.

    • @ils360
      @ils360  2 года назад +2

      Good to know I'll have to research them and see what they're like. I hadn't thought about that with the gas cap being on the wrong side so when you drain the oil it also drains your fuel. Thank you for commenting I really appreciate it

    I have a problem where the engine is too stiff to pull the starter rope. I checked to see if it was my recoil starter rope and it was working fine and smoothly, the only problem is that my engine is hard to rotate in every180 degrees.

    • @ils360
      @ils360  8 месяцев назад +1

      Is your flywheel brake coming fully disengaged? Have you checked your oil or run it low on oil at all?

    • @edenflores3728
      @edenflores3728 8 месяцев назад

      @@ils360 if your referring to the drive control handle lever that brakes the back wheels, yes, I do not have it engaged. I only have the blade control engaged. Oil is at a good level, right below the dot. I’m thinking after doing more research that maybe it could be the mower drive belt under the blade, could it possibly stiffen it from rotating?

    • @ils360
      @ils360  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@edenflores3728 I'm referring to the blade control lever It actually disengages a flywheel break as well as allowing spark. It could be the drive belt but I also wonder if you aren't slightly hydro locking if the lawn mower sat for a really long time or too much oil or stored with the spark plug facing down it can fill the cylinder with oil making it really hard to pull over try pulling the spark plug and checking for oil tilt the lawn mower all the way forwards and see if anything comes out if it's dry see if pulling the spark plug out changes anything if not then it would be the drive belt or differential/ transmission

    • @edenflores3728
      @edenflores3728 8 месяцев назад

      @@ils360 I might have tilted my lawn mower upward from the front to move the blades while adjusting the OHV rocker arms from the valve stem to the correct distance. After adjusting it, all of a sudden the engine stiffened when pulling the starting rope, wasn’t like that before. Actually I might have tilted it from the side as well but I’m not 100% sure, you might be right on the hydro lock. So remove the spark plug and tilt it forward to remove the excess oil?
