I'm a fan of the Venture Brothers... but it wasn't easy. The storylines are tight and serial, but the production schedule had gaps only slightly shorter than Twin Peaks after season 2. Being tight and serial also makes it a little hard to get how good it is from just one episode.

Ultimately the only other characters who’ve had that plot line are the Monarch and Hatred and they clearly didn’t do as Orpheus did. It’s hardly the same other than the inciting incident.
