Yes, originally we planned to go to Erie, but now we're looking into western Ohio hoping for clearer skies. Hope we get some good views
let me give folks a tip .... I have been at a total eclipse with light clouds ( Hawaii) and perfect clear sky's ( Oregon ) .... even light wispy light clouds will dramatically diminish the experience - seek out blue sky and 100 totality ...

Same, the whole plan was starting late to have flexibility, but now the forecast looks good on either side of the mid west 😅
When did Maine become the best viewing spot?
Super bummed. It doesn’t look like the clouds will let up at all in my location. We weren’t going to be in the path of totality, but in Louisiana we still would have gotten a decent partial eclipse. I was going to watch it with my kiddos. Oh well! So much for core memories.
Time to get on the road trip but not sure where to go! 😞
I'm staying in Perryville, MO with the kids. Some models I have seen showed less cloud cover about an hour south. Is there a good source to check in the morning to see if I should make the drive?
Just keep checking channels like this and look up cloud cover map on google, though the maps are usually a little more tedious to get to work and read properly
