Actually I feel so bad for her. My mom once told my oldest sister to that she was really pretty (she is 29 but looks really young) and then she pointed at me and said that I was really ugly (I'm 16). It really hurted me. I told her that this is exactly why people don't talk to their parents once they grow up. She then said that she was just joking. I told her that she already said what was in her mind and there is no need for her to change it. My middle sister siad that what I said was right and my oldest sister also agreed. I've been in that situation before. my mom said that my friend was WAYYY prettier than me when I was standing right there and my friend is the type to say she's not and to say that I'm prettier than her if that makes sense and so she did that and my mom proceeded to compare my looks with my friend's looks and it ended up leaving me and my friend into a year long argument until we both just came to a conclusion that we are both pretty but I even cried during that year. Actually I feel so bad for her. My mom once told my oldest sister to that she was really pretty (she is 29 but looks really young) and then she pointed at me and said that I was really ugly (I'm 16). It really hurted me. I told her that this is exactly why people don't talk to their parents once they grow up. She then said that she was just joking. I told her that she already said what was in her mind and there is no need for her to change it.
My middle sister siad that what I said was right and my oldest sister also agreed.

I've been in that situation before. my mom said that my friend was WAYYY prettier than me when I was standing right there and my friend is the type to say she's not and to say that I'm prettier than her if that makes sense and so she did that and my mom proceeded to compare my looks with my friend's looks and it ended up leaving me and my friend into a year long argument until we both just came to a conclusion that we are both pretty but I even cried during that year.
