Disagree there was no danger, and not because I’m a fan of either Bowman or Bubba, but he didn’t mention window nets down, belts loosened, not as aware so when things occur the chance of it being more “eventful” than not is a danger still. I also loved Denny’s comments about not partnering with NASCAR as owners and drivers. 👍🏻

Being that the race was shortened. There shouldn't have been a stage break caution, the points should have been awarded but no caution should have been thrown. Also the race at race tracks with lighting issues should be started earlier during the day, that way it gives you more options and opportunities to get a full race in. The racing was amazing and everyone wanted more. I Felt like NASCAR could have done a better Job on😢 the Fly.

@@MGlass-xg9no I was given my assessment before the podcast started as if the race just ended. The point was the racing was great but the Fans wanted more or at least I Did. So that's the perspective I was coming from. The start time really wasn't the main issue. I just didn't like the stage break given the race was going to be shortened. Being that it had the potential to go from a wet to dry track without the stage break and more laps more strategy and they're probably would have been better race craft to finish the race. Just my 2 cents.

iRacing doesn't have Next Gen cars rain-enabled yet but there are a few other cars that could be good training tools, at least for adapting lines and playing around with on-track dryness.

Nothing wrong with Jr. He just has a limit as to how filtered or unfiltered he will be and isn't knee deep as a driver or owner. I mean he doesn't even get in depth as an owner of an Xfinity team. His interviews are great. But the weekend recap episodes aren't AS GOOD, and even aren't as good as when he had Mike as a cohost. Again, nothing against the guys he has to bounce off of, but I feel like Mike added alot and pressured Jr on some topics where the other guys are generally just there for Jr to talk to as an avenue to speak to the viewers/listeners.

Talking about cautions, I believe it was the last caution of the race there was like 21 minutes when the caution fly came out for not even an accident. I think it was a one maybe a two car spin and it took over five minutes to restart the race on a road course are you kidding me, that is insane. I don’t know the processes and all the other stuff that NASCAR has to bye-bye with the rules so on and so forth safety precautions, but that is ridiculous to me and it happens all the time more and more obviously it takes away from the race I believe on road courses, there should be and you’ve done it before NASCAR is done up before they’ve done an Xfinity series as well. A competitive pitstop stage and there’s no caution laughs. There’s nobody on the track you come in you do your time do your changes you have amount of time to get it done you get out, I love that that should be on every single track. You should not count caution laps at the end of the stage you are shortening the erase by 15 to 20 laps every single race if not more.

In the future, I wouldn't mind seeing road/street races be timed instead of distance races. 135 mins (2 hrs 15 mins) at every road/street course would be a good spot I think. They might also want to consider head and tail lights for those tracks too. Maybe invest a little in some basic lighting at the tracks so that the mix of track lights and car lights would make the visibility a non issue. The more conditions you make available to race in, the more options you have to get races in and it would give NASCAR something it hasn't had that some other series do. I mean, they have IMSA to base it off of, so it would be pretty easy to do.

*Chase Briscoe is a BONEHEAD. He was sideways 300ft before the corner trying to accelerate, so the breaking zone was the last thing on his mind. Trying to pass multiple cars up the inside approaching a slick corner, while everyone else was moving outside doesn't spell SKILL. Did he expect his parachute to deploy to slow him down ? NOPE, Just hammer 2 to 3 gears down, dump the clutch, torque lock the rear diff and put the brake pedal to the floor with both feet for good measure while covering your eyes with both hands and hoping for the best. THIS is where I would insert the "...bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it plays out..." Meme from Dodgeball. Briscoe ran out of talent - Plain and Simple. Drivers like SVG DESERVE a more skilled opponent. I personally hope that SVG starts turning guys at the circle tracks and speedways, while trying to make his way through the pack rather than staying Top20 HUMBLE and driving within his limits and experience for the Circuit(s).*

I think the idea of the Chicago street race is cool, but the reality of the race these first two iterations means NASCAR needs to move a different direction in future seasons. Maybe still hold that style of race, but do it somewhere that's less likely to be affected by rain, such as LA.

When it comes to concerts why couldn't they just do what the Indy 500 does? Indy has concerts going on during the race in the Snake Pit. What kind of atmosphere would that be like having Keith Urban going on at the same time as the race? Then towards the end of the race, the concerts stop so that full focus can be on the track. At least visually they'll be a whole lot more people at the track

I think Bubba and Chase (if he hit Suarez after the race) should get penalties and I feel any issues you have should be voiced or shown out of the car on pit road. Reason I feel Bubba deserves the penalty the most is he ignored Bowman through out the red flag when apparently Bowman was trying to get ahold of him to talk it out. So this makes it feel like Bubba premeditated what he was going to do to Bowman after the race was over.

Ironically those whom cultivated their talents on DIRT are the ones whom struggle less with the wet weather. They are also historically the most dominant on street courses and road courses too (besides full time road/street course racers).
    Larson
    Tyler Reddick
    C-Belle
    Briscoe was strong
Bowman won (strategy but he still won)
Then there’s the OG road course guys from dirt like
