I've been considering the Luba 2 5000 mower, but I've seen many issues reported on Reddit. This makes me hesitant to spend $3k on it right now. I'd love to own one in the future once all the bugs are worked out. Your yard looks perfect for the mower. My yard, however, has hundreds of trees and lots of slopes, which might pose a challenge for it
@agrexias yeah I know what you mean. Would get pretty tricky on the mapping part of it. I agree that they are expensive and tough for a home owner. I bet they come down in price when everyone starts making these
@@TheLawngestYard My main issue is the lack of a return window. The Luba 2 doesn't have a return policy. If I purchase it and the RTK doesn't work due to the full sized fruit trees in my yard, I'll have essentially bought a very expensive paperweight. If the company were confident in their product, they should offer a minimum return window of at least 30 days. This would alleviate my hesitation about making the purchase, as marketing doesn't always reflect real world performance

@@TheLawngestYard From the Mammotion website: "To be eligible for a return, your item must be unopened, unactivated, and in the same new condition as when you received it. It must also be in its original packaging with all components." I spoke to customer service previously, and they confirmed that it has to be unopened and unused. This is practically a no return policy. This policy has no way to verify/test that the mower works
i bought one and it seriously changed my life. got the luba 1000 and now i never have to mow during the hot summers ever again. no more getting attacked by bugs while mowing. I no longer dread lawn mowing.
I keep it at 1” only because I enjoy a lower HOC looking lawn. And yes I do have it going every day. Sometimes twice a day haha. It has been a time saver!!!
Awesome review! I guess I'm confused why the big mower companies are slow/refusing to embrace this? I am not familiar with any of the companies with robot mowers. Thanks! (I do remember my Dad paying that price for a lightly used Buick - not kidding). Don't you think the price will come down a bit?

they have cheaper ones available if your lawn is not too crazy or hilly. the yuka (same company) would do just great if you got a rather calm yard. why yuka? it's the cheapest one with a camera. you will need those cameras if you got trees because the RTK alone is not enough.
My vacuum was less than 800 and I didn't have to map anything. It mapped my entire floor which made go/no go sections so much easier. It doesn't have angled vacuuming but the lines are perfectly straight. Def not paying 3k for that.

Absolutely!!! It frees up so much time and you never have that guilt of needing to mow right? How do you like the 1000?
