I had some walls where marker lines kept going through the primer, until used killz oil based primer (only over the marker lines) and that did the trick. Also, when I paint I use high gloss paint, when tenants leave I just wipe off the walls with a bit of "Awesome" (very little) diluted in water. Nonneed to paint again. That cleaner is amazing.
I'm a mom of 5; 2 girls(oldest ones), 3 boys who are under 5. OMG I need to do it this summer to wash and maybe paint over. When they get a hold of crayons/pencils/markers they mark the walls. Just looking for tips from videos, whenever I do my walls.
Just watched this one again. I am in the midst of my nastiest turn ever … dude it’s disgusting. I am going to use that mop trick for sure. Thanks for sharing. Not sure how to handle all the dog poop on the basement floor and in the yard. Wondering if you might have any tips?
That stinks, definitely deflating as a landlord..... but it happens to all landlords. When it's overwhelming I just do one room at a time. Small steps to finish line. I just found a Magic Eraser mop at a dollar store I think it would work wonders on walls, haven't tried it yet. amzn.to/3gQKV5n The poop in basement scoop and bag. I use a heavy-duty scrub brush on pole with hot water. Then bleach it a few times. Good luck on your project. I'm always amazed how people live. Maybe you should start a RUclips channel
Saoirse magic erasers are awesome. Yes it is magic. Haha, With this being a large home I felt like it would take me forever to clean with magic erasers. With pen, permanent marker, and crayon on what seemed like every surface. Thanks for watching.
@@handylandlord haha true, the biggest surface I've ever used it on was a door. Just imagining how many magic erasers you would have to burn through to get a job like that done 🤭
Tyat would absolutely kill his arm lol. My little guy did art work all over my walls and I just used the magic eraser on one spot and it killllled my arm so just gunna paint over it all
My son has drawn on his walls in his bedroom with ballpoint pen and crayon. I dont want to strip the lining paper that is already on his wall but he has drawn on it, will magic erasers work with it being lining paper? Or what paint is best that will require least coats
I moved into a brand new home in April. My teenager got some stains on the walls and had left for college. I tried to was the walls but the paint that was put on is so thin, anything wet strips to the wall board. How can I cover the stains w/o washing the walls?
I like to use bin or cover stain in a spray can (see link below) apply 2 light coats then apply top coat of wall color. This method has worked well for small stains. The video u watched had way too many stains for spray cans. Paint is probably cheaper at home depot. Also try magic erasers. Thanks for watching. Cover stain amzn.to/3cYDMKS Bin amzn.to/3lb1kR9
@@handylandlord Thank you for the great advice. This will help me a great deal. I have an account at Home Depot sonic will definitely get my paint from them.
I’ve been living in my apartment for 2 months now and while late packing I noticed one of my walls has some writing… i had never noticed because of the lighting but I noticed it at 1 am while packing… it scared me tbh but it seems they must have painted over the writing and it’s a bit see through.
Omg I needed this my disabled daughter destroyed our walls with her art work. I thought the crayons were washable for a year until I realized they aren't.

Agree if you have marker on the walls. Paint the spots with oil based primer then your top coat. Thanks
