The m340 weighs almost 500 lbs more. Theres videos of q50s beating 340s/m340s with the same mods. Turbo 6 cylinders especially with ethanol all make strong power. I will say the b58 has proven to be reliable though, probably more than other platforms. Their auto transmissions are better than other manufacturers too

Interesting those Lt1's are the camaros some troopers have, but theyre stock with way more weight with all that equipment and heavy drivers. So yes with a modified 340i and a driver mod and knowledge of roads, you can definitely get away.

If the lt1 owner isn’t done by the guys with the red and white heads cam cars I don’t trust it lol. Those guys are the only ones doing lt1s right in that area. Other tuners are mid in comparison 😂

modern boosted engines are complex, lots of sensors, etc. if you think the 340i engine bay is ugly, dont look under the hood of a Q60,Q50,new Nissan Z with the Twin turbo V6 , Vr30 engine looks like a mess of a spaghetti with the engine cover off
