The fourth installment of the hugely successful RESIDENT EVIL franchise, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE is again based on the wildly popular video game series, and will this time be presented in 3-D. I only wish we saw Wesker do stuff. They set him up to be an antagonist of sorts just to be a bodyguard. I enjoyed the first two films. There was good stuff in the other films through.
If someone is wondering why her sword became that short in the end: A bullet hit the sword at 1:27, which results in a much shorter sword. And it smoothly penetrates the helmet of the soldier (even without a tip) thanks to Alice amazing T-Virus superpowers.

The franchise as a whole kept me on my toes till the very end, and Milla Jovovich brought her best in every installment. I don't care if they reboot the whole thing, because the very first one will always be my favourite!

RE1: you think its gonna be a group of umbrella soldiers fighting zombies but half get clapped by lasers before even seeing zombies
Afterlife: Bunch of Alice clones vs Umbrella? Nope all get killed in the beginning
Retribution Ending: Finally a large group of heavily armed survivors vs the undead, nope they all die in the beginning of the Final Chapter.

The soldiers got killed off immediately and were surprised because it was shut by Kaplan before she rebooted killing them all. Then the fear of not knowing what they are dealing with?

honestly my favourite res evil movie, this is one of the most badass scenes imo also when she blows the rooftop of the building, I showed this scene to my girlfriend and she thought it was sick too. Cept that trash side kick at the end vs the dogs and the lame cliff hanger ending.

What I find most offensive about this series is how each single movie completely shit on the ending of it's prequel.
For example, in Retribution the discovery and release of the clones at the end was presented as such a twist and massive cliffhanger that let you really wonder about how Alice is gonna take down Umbrella with their own creation now and then every single clone just got wasted in one fight at the beginning of this movie. Full reset back to one single Alice.
And everytime they did this to the previous movie. Truly bloodboiling and very unsatisfying.
For that reason, they're almost more believable as Metroid adaptations than Resident Evil ones.
How many of you have played the game? She is obviously using the God Mode cheat code. But in this case it only lasts for a certain amount of time until she is vunerable, and the soldiers are guessing wrong as to how long it lasts.

I remember when this came out and 3d was all ther age. This sequence and this movie as whole are so fun to watch in 3d. it feels like those carnival ride but like 2 hours
Paul really improved on Retribution. This movie was a bit rougher on the staging and blocking but very ambitious

You know what I wonder?? How the hell did umbrella stay so well equipped after the outbreak?? Do they have their own weapons & ammunition factories, oil Rigs, and any industrial facilities..
Because I’m pretty sure maintaining a base like that requires a lot of resources!! Plus feeding in housing all those troops and employees..
It makes me wonder how they keep all of them inline. They must know that the outbreaks are umbrellas fault. And everyone most likely lost someone they cared during all of that.
@@uwesca6263 They use clones that are programed to be loyal or to serve as a test. This is shown in the next movie when actors who played characters that were already dead returned. Alice herself is actually a clone that became more than what they thought she could.
