I love the phrase I don’t do public math.Definitely stealing that one.

My budget was $125k. I ended up around $120ish. I did have to say goodbye to the roof deck that I really wanted…but that’s okay. I am still delighted with my tiny! 🎉

Cool video and I love the “I don’t do public math”😂😂😂 I’m about to do some public math here 🤣: the tiny houses that feel like my “dream” tiny house are around $60,000-$80,000, but I actually can only afford $30,000-$45,000 😢, I could wait and save more for my dream, but that’s looking at 2-3 years down the road because I’m a single mama of a toddler boy working full-time. I actually have seen a few that I like for the price point of $32,000-$35,000….they’re not my dream house, but they still look incredible and cozy. So my conundrum is do I wait a few more years until the dream tiny house is affordable to me or do I snatch an “okay” tiny home while the prices are still low? I should mention, I am strictly looking at secondhand homes. I booked an hour call with you this weekend and cannot waittttt to chat with you about your secondhand tiny home experience 🙌

Whoops! I missed this comment- you are so right! Most people forget or don't know to factor that part into the cost. I should do a transportation video!

Everything you're saying makes absolutely not sense. A quick Google search can debunk almost every narrative you give here. Time to make a tiny home is 500 man-hours at most, which is less than 2 weeks, and can be 300 man-hours if done by a professional. The only possible explanations are greed and price gouging. Tiny homes were started by a homeless guy during the housing crisis with just a few thousand to his name. People would have better luck just going his route and DIYing it than buy from the disgusting real estate market.
