Lol you are very funny and I love the snow we haven't gotten any snow over here in Kahoka Missouri's yet I'm just happy that big bear lake got a little snow yourself a generator and your electricity will always stay on or solar paneling then you don't have to pay your electricity at all they pay you $2,000 once a month you should look into that see if your kids qualify ❤️🐻❤️

Well thank you Aztec girl saying that it’s the most amazing car ever. I never thought that I would be feeling like I was in my old 500 Mercedes back in 2004 I got a 2004 Mercedes ML 500 when I was selling real estate down the hill that’s all I was able to afford it. And I’ll tell you what I never expected a Subaru to feel like a super high end luxury vehicle, but this was I think the most expensive Subaru that they make it was almost $50,000 for this bad boy but the suspension is different. Everything about it is different. It just feels like a super high end car so thank you for your compliment, my friend.

It cost so much to install underground power - Why don't electric companies bury power lines?
The main reason that utility companies will not bury power lines underground is cost. Research shows that the price for running a typical overhead power cable is approximately $100,000 per mile and that the price for burying those same wires underground would increase by 10 times or more.
Cherl I really appreciate that feedback because I literally didn’t think it would be that expensive because in some other cities that I lived in the country cities that didn’t have much money they still had powerlines underneath the ground but maybe that’s because of the tornado threat it was probably worth it to do that but I didn’t realize how expensive it is. I really appreciate you telling me this it puts it more into perspective for me. I think I’m just gonna have to get a generator.

Drove up yesterday afternoon hoping it'd snow, but didnt snow till like 7:30 or 8, and of course the power went out when we were in the village getting dinner. Highway 18 and 330 were interesting going up and down yesterday, lot of big rocks from the rockslides! Nice to see a good chunk of snow though!
I’m glad you got to come up and enjoy this place though. I’m sorry that the power went out. Trust me it was a nightmare for everybody up here and yes it can be super super sketchy driving up and down the mountains on those highways when we have storms because big rocks will come falling down. I actually know somebody from this channel who’s car was crushed while they were driving. Thankfully the rock hit the opposite side of the car or they would’ve been killed instantly and that stuff happens up here. It’s pretty damn sketchy so I’m glad you made it OK and I hope you come back soon.

Fran it was so scary. Never felt that scared about the storms up here. Huge trees were tossed around like toothpicks. Amazing as can be.

@@tigerblood213 we have a lot in common my friend as a kid my mom had a vacation house for five years in Lake arrowhead and the first time I saw snow was when I was 10 1/2 years old up there and my older brothers would take me to the cabin to learn how to ski we would spend the night at our cabin for a few nights, but then drive to Big Bear to go skiing and it was the best time of my life even though I’ve traveled the world a few times it’s still the best memories of my life and it was off of Nadelhorn drive across from the village way up high. And when I was 11 years old, I learned how to ski at Bear Mountain I remember we went to Newport ski company because I grew up in Newport Beach and we bought a ton of money worth of ski gear for myself. My parents did and so I didn’t know how to ski but I have like $1000 ski outfit lol, the good old days when my parents were very successful and now I’m blessed enough to be able to help them out not as much as they helped me, but I’m the only one of the seven kids in the family for the most part who does anything for them. It’s great to hear from you my friend, as I said, we have a lot in common.

Also the reason why they can't make the power lines underground is because it's ten times more expensive to install than above ground power lines. They would need to dig and run the wires at least 36 inches in the ground in order to meet the standards.

I use charter spectrum and it’s one gig. That’s the fastest we’ve got up here if we had faster, I would have it for sure because I like getting these videos uploaded as fast as possible.
Do they use salt on the roads in big bear?
My friend butter on my biscuit yes they do I believe at least when I first moved up here they did but they use another product that could be salt. I’m not sure exactly what it is but you can tell because it’s always ends up in the middle of the street like in the middle of the lane where cars aren’t driving or on the very side so I’m not sure if it’s technically salt anymore that they’re using but it probably is that’s a great question and I feel like such an idiot for not knowing so please don’t judge me lol
I do know that the salt is not good for vehicles no babies they use of a product. I’m going to look into that right now my friend, so I know for the next time someone asks, but I’m not 100% sure once again I do know they use something to help melt the ice and snow. That’s what those big trucks that go ahead of the storm typically do and then a lot of times in front of the big plows you’ll see them out the back of the truck spraying a bunch of stuff on the road and it looks like a little pebbles.

If you’re coming up this weekend there might be brand new snow for you man Thursday night into Friday morning we could get a couple inches of snow so it might not be the easiest drive for you. Next week there will be a little bit of snow but it’s not gonna be that much but I’m sure you guys will still be able to find some spots to enjoy yourselves go sledding with the kids or something like that. Early snow! I was in Big Bear for 2019 Thanksgiving week: four feet of snow! Crazy. Bless your wife's heart for shoveling! You two are too funny! I have snow tires (Hi from Colorado!). Snow tires make a huge difference when driving.
Ellen absolutely incredible are the snow tires seriously when you look at them they look like regular tires they don’t even look like thick all-terrain tires, so I was very very nervous when I got them thinking I was being ripped off until I actually went driving and holy moly you couldn’t be more correct they are a godsend literally and it’s nice to hear from you ellen Hope you have a great rest of your day.

so all wheel drive with all season tires. or 2 wheel drive with snow tires.... how confident are snow tires, in terms of traction and braking? I had a mishap with snow a while back. so i need superior control driving through snow now. you seem to clear that snow patch at 7 minute marker like nothing
My friend RUclips videos that’s a great question and I’m super honored to be able to answer that over the years. I have learned through experience what works the best and the past three seasons I’ve had three different sets of snow tires long story because they would’ve lasted probably three seasons each because I switch them out every time spring comes back so I’ll tell you right now when you get the snow tires and you spend a fortune on them you’re gonna look at them and almost start crying because you’re going to think how the hell are these tires going to do anything for me that’s the way that I felt looking at the snow tires they look like they have less traction than regular tires. They aren’t thick in bulky like all-terrain tires and stuff like that but my goodness these things are designed incredibly to cut into the snow and ice like a warm knife on butter so if you do have a 2 Wheel Dr. vehicle, the snow tires were almost act like chains. I’m telling you right now, but do not. I repeat do not take my word is Gospel though, because I don’t want you to have any issues I’ve been driving in these conditions for many years intentionally and putting myself and really awful situation and then coming out ahead of the game and smiling about it so just be very careful but I’ve had three sets of three different brand snow tires over the past three seasons and I promise you it’s night and day difference.
When you’re braking it’s amazing as well. I’ve been shocked at times but you don’t wanna be complacent however, it’s definitely gonna help you tremendously and it’s worth every penny. I’ll tell you right now my first couple seasons up here I couldn’t afford even to pay attention so I was able to get some all-terrain tires or maybe they’re called all season tires I’m not sure but those are nothing like snow tires they did not help me at all on the ice or snow, so do not go that route even if you have all wheel drive or four-wheel-drive if you’re planning on coming up to the snow a lot and you have the ability to get your tires changed out then just keep your snow tires in your garage and when you’re gonna come up here, toss them on. It really does make a world of difference and I only want you to be safe so you can have a bad ass time up here. Without you guys, none of us get to live up here it’s you tourist to come up here spending money creating jobs for us so I want you to be as safe as possible and just have a great time.
Do me a favor please RUclips videos if I didn’t answer the question fully to your liking, please get back to me I’m super happy to elaborate even more but once again with four-wheel-drive and all wheel drive when it comes to the chain controls as long as you have snow tires, the 99% of the time let you through And I say 99% of the time because when we get 3 feet snow storms I don’t know what it would be like because I’m never driving up or down the mountain when we have those storms. I’m already up here but I know for a fact that all the big signs say four-wheel-drive and all wheel drive with snow tires is OK And I also suggest you spend a few extra bucks and get a really nice set a tire chains just to have with you just in case because keep in mind I might make it look really easy and thank you for the compliment about that certain point of this video where I was driving through that snow area like a champ It really really does have a lot to do with experience as well so the fact that I know what to expect, and I pretty much have had it become innate feature in my life, I do make it look really easy, but I don’t like telling people that the snow tires are like having tire chains on every tire because it takes away from some of the being in awe of how I’m driving in this weather without tire chains ever but the snow tires really do have a huge huge contribution to me staying safe out there for instance, driving my wife’s rental car which is a four-wheel-drive jeep I was struggling in the snow on the live feed the other night it may not have looked like it because I wasn’t panicking at all but I was struggling a bit and it’s incredible how just the tires will make a difference but you also once again, have to be really really good and know how to tap your brakes and how you’re going to tap your gas pedal and this and that because it all contributes and as I said, if I didn’t answer the question exactly or if I didn’t answer everything you were asking please don’t hesitate to respond because your safety is my priority, my friend
Hey Nikk, I would definitely change your insurance company. Whenever you get into an accident or get a ticket, your insurance company will increase your premium which is a way of them telling you they don’t wanna insure you anymore. So definitely look into other insurance companies and make sure you get full coverage
My friend I was considering that, but I didn’t know if it would make a difference but now that you mentioned it, I think I’m gonna give it a shot. Clow that’s a great question I am pretty certain you’re not gonna need tire chains. However, if you’re a little bit nervous about driving on these roads, some of the side streets could still be a little rough and you should always have them with you just in case, but getting up here and on the main roads, you’ll be fine on Friday. I’m with you on both of those facts I love Tahoe so much I wish I could spend more time up there and I wish I could do this channel up there, but I have something so established here.
What a beautiful, beautiful place to live. I want to live in South lake Tahoe. I love the mountain range I live in however it’s just not my dream I used to live in the Rocky Mountains that’s not true I lived in Denver but we would go up every week to go skiing up I 70 through the Eisenhower tunnel once a week and it was just the most spectacular place.
And when it comes to politics, I’m not much of a lover of California politics myself.

Honestly, I think we’re gonna probably have half of what we have now because tomorrow is gonna be the first day we get above freezing for the most part out of the storm and then Friday is supposed to get almost to 50° so I don’t think we’re gonna have that much left but it’s still gonna be a beautiful site I promise you that driving conditions will be great for you. Anthony, it is so pathetic especially when you’re a little kid and adults are bullying you. As I was growing up, my mom always told me to kill them with kindness and it never worked for me. I shouldn’t say it never works for me but it always made me feel lesser. The first time I ever actually took a swing at somebody and I was so scared but the first time I actually did that it gave me a lot of respect from a lot of people and from that point on the bullying ended right away I’m not saying that that’s what people should do but it gets to a certain point where sometimes bullies will never ever learn

So I would say between 1500 and 2000 every month but when I moved up here the homes that you’ll find right now for about 2500 were 1500 maybe even 1200 but greed has captured this city tremendously and I do wish everybody the best because people are just trying to make money. They worked hard to purchase investment properties and I totally understand but for my own selfish reasons it’s a bummer because I’d like to move my wife into something bigger than my little Shoebox.

There is no new snow, but there still is snow in town and there’s lots of locations where you can still find little places to go sledding but I don’t know how good the snow is since it’s been two weeks since the last snowstorm and I thought we had some snow coming on Monday but I don’t see it coming anymore Such a bummer anyway I hope that helps my friend and I hope you are coming up here to enjoy some of the snow we have left.

My brother Shawn I have a problem with that because years back I had an eBay top-selling account and a customer totally pulled a scam on me and screwed me over big time. Long story short I sold them a diamond product like an earring and then they said they didn’t receive it even though I tracked it all the way to their state and the post office but they didn’t receive it supposedly which I know they did but eBay reimbursed them while I was at Six Flags Magic Mountain not having any money in my bank account. They ended up taking the thousand dollars out of my bank account and sending it back to PayPal and then I had to go PayPal $1000 and I couldn’t afford to pay them so this lady not only got the diamond earring but she got her money back and I know she’s a scam artist because when I called the post office in her state of Illinois the manager at the post office was shocked, saying oh my gosh we’ve had problems with this lady before and my heart sank, but eBay didn’t do enough research they didn’t care. It seemed like to dig into it much and so that ruined my eBay top selling business and it ruined my ability to have a PayPal account but I do have cash app I do have Venmo and I need to know and learn how to use my Zelle through my bank account but thank you for asking my friend.
