    Very good tear down, if his is just touching the solder I am sure mine is the same, be interesting to see what the customer wants you to do with it.

      It was just barely grazing solder. I’ve talked to him, gonna motoseal, sand the base, but leave ports stock, trying to find a piston, but if I can’t just a new set of rings, should give a little more intake timing, and a little less exhaust, compression should bump up considerably, and should gain good torque. I’ll measure the exhaust skirt to see how tight we can get the squish without freeporting it. Essentially just a woods port job

      @@BamaPerformanceAndVintagesaws amazing once done should have some gain over the original shape, have you ever worked on or had a mac 975? and are they worth getting?

      @@diggindiggenit6540 a 975? Or 795? I have a 795, and have worked on them, I haven’t ran into a 975, do you have a picture?

      @@diggindiggenit6540 they’re worth getting, heavy, but fun saws to run, not a speed demon though, just loads of torque
