This… he’s exactly describing how it felt for me to look back and reflect upon the memories and mistakes I made as a teenager and it genuinely felt like I was dying, shortness of breath, light headed, cramps, I felt like I was gonna shrivel up and pass out as I looked back on these deeds as an adult… I’m truly disappointed with my past self for doing the things I did and I wish I could’ve acted differently, but I know that I can’t go back… the only thing I can do now that I’m an adult is move forward…

      I'm Sorry
For many years, I carried deep feelings of guilt with me. Which have shifted again and again, as soon as I apologized to a person, for something. I carried the guilt with me and tortured myself, for many years. Until I realized that the one I really needed to apologize to was myself. I tortured myself the most. So I apologize to myself for what I did to myself. And the intention to apologize is everything. So I find my innocence, which I had once lost; again. And by apologizing to myself, I release my guilt. And thus I do no harm to others. Because I am at peace with myself and thereby with the world. Therefore, apologize to yourself if you carry feelings of guilt with you. Because you can't torture yourself and apologize to yourself at the same time. Tormenting inflicts suffering and apologizing takes away suffering. "Anyway" and "Yes" are the words that enable me to apologize to myself. Because I get impulses to get back into the hamster wheel of apologizing or torturing myself for certain things. But I say, "Yes, I'm apologizing to myself anyway." And I apologize to others when it's my free choice. And I use these two methods to do that. By either apologizing to people personally or apologizing to people within myself, if I don't want to make it personal. Because the honest intention is enough.

It destroyed my life. Once I discovered this messed up dynamic I moved far away and opted out of dating. I live alone now and I never approach women anymore. At least the trauma serves as a panacea against isolation, so I live happily and peacefully on my own without women’s “vampire/priest” complex (the female version of the ‘madonna/whore) in my life. well most of the death he's talking about it the changes in US , so much enough that has to be done takes us to literally uproot everything that someone trained us and raised us, that doesn't mean it's necessarily that is a grievous sin like stealing or lying, or murdering, to repent from, it could be that you was raised by no father and now you don't have any masculine characters now you have to learn that all over again and become a little kid just to become a man and that had nothing to do with you choosing to be a wicked person and or going astray, and now you have to repent to believe in Jesus
Yeah you believe in Jesus but now you have to be taught how to become masculine by people and help get trained that's the dying he's talking about
it's got something to do with being born again into a new understanding and experience through life teachings! and demands of you will teach you to change yourself , like now you have to learn how to be a stable man and go to work when you had no examples or role models to lead you there and it was not his choice that he was like this character and some of these people don't even know that they have these problems, so the dying he's talking about it's almost like is welcoming all new knowledge not just the Bible but all new knowledge on growth of a person and somehow get an understanding of this new knowledge is going to take him lot of time to get these new knowledges to be his new character, example he's a new man because now he learned how to keep a job or to get a job he's a new man cuz now he learned that his father left him and he has these emotional problems and now he knows how to fix those emotional problems when he gets to a therapist and then he has the humble himself to talk about his issues, that whole process will be killing him cuz he never did any of this stuff before anyway and now he's dying cuz it's old person is dying now and a new person is getting trained
He's not just talking about being saved it's talking about practical things on Earth, to live behave with other humans
That takes a whole lot of knowledge and experiences! to train a person
And it's going to cost time to get to those experiences real life experiences like losing a job losing a relationship and all of a sudden you learned something but you had to die and lose stuff first
That's what he's getting at not just being born again

Siddhartha Gautama said the exact same thing centuries prior. Hindu yogis and gurus have said the same thing millennia before him. It's the message of all religion. Heaven and Hell are states of mind not places you go. Consciousness is God, the creator of everything and the ego is the devil.

@@Zoalsoul I never said you "must" be born again but Jesus said in the Bible that the kingdom of God is within you. He is a son of God not THE son of God. We are all God's "children". Because God is consciousness. The creator of everything you experience is consciousness. Consciousness manifests reality, and reality manifests consciousness. The two go together, like everything else in this world. You cannot have up without down. You cannot know good without evil. Out without in. Self without other. This applies to everything in this reality. That is a big part of Hinduism and Buddhism as well, both of which are many lifetimes older than Christianity. Non-duality is realizing these things all go together and that self and other are the same. I believe Christ was enlightened, but he was human, the Catholics meddled with the bible to scare and control people (in the real world they would torture and execute any "heretics" and non-believers, and they'd scare people into converting by saying if they don't then they'll go to hell afterwards), they were the sole redistributor of the Bible and they did so many awful things, so truth within the Bible has been corrupted. But you can still see some of it there. I think Christ got his ideas and his awakening through the silk road and/or surviving texts from the library of Alexandria which was burned less than a lifetime before he was supposedly born. It all lines up together perfectly. I can't name any yogis that may have taught Jesus specifically but these are all timeless concepts that go way beyond recorded history in India, everybody who's taught it and helped others awaken are just messengers.

    • @Zoalsoul

@@ti2218 Gonna stop you right there. Jesus Christ is THE Son of GOD. The WORD of GOD in the flesh and in spirit. GOD the Father has exhaulted his WORD above his name. Jesus is the ALPHA and OMEGA. He is the first born of death. Please don't compare yourself to him as a son. Yes you are grafted into his kingdom to become sons of GOD but you and I are not in the same league. Christianity is just the group label we give to people who believe in the Jesus Christ of the bible. The WORD of GOD has been here in the beginning and will be here in the end, he outdated any religion or spiritual ideology. All things were made by him and for him.

Yeah I feel the same too. He's become more intense in his words recently. (Sorry for my Englist btw I'm not a native) I think it's because he has experienced and saw so many tragedies and hell that people go through in his lifetime, and wants to tell us that we are not at all different with those who go through hell so he wants us to avoid it. Also it seems that JBP is recently been emphasizing this theme "The world is fundamentally not safe and you(or your psyche) are totally in the danger of getting destroyed by it." I personally agree a lot on this.
But still, even though I do understand his claims, his recent videos really makes me feel that humanity is just fundamentally 'doomed'. and it makes me feel as if there are only two choices for us: obey the rules of life or burn in hell. This sometimes make me feel so frustrated and choky, leading me to question the reason for my whole existence. JBP helped me to realize it's really hard to see hope and meaning in life unless we go deeply into religious or spiritual terms, but I think Peterson is going too deep recently and ironically starting to lose joy or peace in his own life even though he himself is not in any trouble...
I sometimes wonder, "If all there is in life just pain and hell, why doesn't god(If god really exists) just end it all? Does he have any purpose on leaving the world and humanity as it is now?" And that leads me to assume that 'maybe', maybe God wants sth from us even though how doomed and sinful we are... and this kind of thinking gives me some tiny hope in life.
I'm still struggling to find some unbreakable meanings in life but I hope that you also get to find some deep meaning that brings hope and light in life. :) Sorry for the long comment, haha

He is spot on about that stuff coming back in a time of crisis.
I really never gave much thought to all the bad shit I’ve done in life and just shrugged it off as “oh well, what’s done is done I can only look forwards and do better”. Which is true, that’s not a bad thing, that’s the goal actually. However if you don’t take a good long look inside after you’ve done something morally compromising then you’re in for a world of trouble when the crisis comes.
I fell into a pit of anxiety and obsessive thoughts earlier this year. Since then all the shit I have regretted in the past came back to haunt me. It’s almost like god forced me to take a look at my sins one by one.
This shit hurts mentally but also physically as well, but ultimately this was the jumping point of my healing and my evolution as a person.
You have to face who you used to be in order to let go, and grow into the person you want to be.

Exactly, that's what finding the Lord and accepting him means. You are reborn and although you still have the weight on your shoulders because those things don't go away they have to be resolved, the new you can handle it. You allowed the divine into your life were as the old you had the lack of. Having the Lord's peace means having the ability to handle yourself amid the madness that's everywhere.

Oh no it lives by it.
Does he accept his own errors?
...And the world is full of people never "called to attend to their deceitfulness," who never "have to face the consequences of what they've done."
Peterson is preaching karma, the notion there are intrinsic moral laws inherent in reality, meteing out rewards and punishments. An atavistic, servile superstition!
Whereas his pal Nietzsche declares "Let us restore innocence to becoming!"

However; this is a bit more complicated because one way or other eventually have to be a pay back, this I say because I have seen it literally a man was my lawyer he was a big play boy handsome super rich, always put me down, looked down on me, hang up phone on me, and I heard from strong source he was taking money from clients and not doing good job, and many clients were mad at him and so on,,,, this source told me the lawyer had big accident from neck down paralyzed! Sure enough a month later I got a call from a woman admin, she said the lawyer was asking me and others for forgiveness! 😏

Wow, this is...spot on. I'm just now finally getting my life back in order after some terrible mistakes. And just like Dr. Peterson said, it was in the middle of a crisis. My father was dying of cancer, I was caring for my deteriorating grandparents (who I loved so much), and I absolutely spiraled out of control. I became a terrible person who made an absolute disaster out of my life. It nearly cost me everything. I'm so eternally thankful for the redemption found in Christ. I have never been a person to do therapy but it probably would have been nice to have someone like Dr. Peterson to warn me of the pitfalls I was heading toward.

Exactly, that’s why repentance is preached in the Bible so much. It means to change one’s mind, not just say you are sorry. You are to have a fundamental shift in your actions and direction regarding the sins you have done.

Please Keep at it none of us is perfect. And please establish a close personal relationship w/Jesus. Read the Bible daily. Let the words, stories, pictures it creates in your mind penetrate into every cell of your body. Let it all wash over your mind, heart, soul, emotions. Talk to Him Pour out your heart-can be short simple sentences. If it’s easier for you, write a letter to Jesus, communicating everything to Him. Then, sit back, be quiet, quiet your mind. Practice quieting your mind. He will answer you softly, silently almost, inside you. If you’ve written, He will respond as if He’s talking back to you-just write down what you’re hearing. It may not be audible, but you will know He’s communicating with you. Why have I said all this? Because Jesus loves YouHe forgives you-and maybe you need to develop a relationship w/Him, and in doing so, learn to love and forgive yourself the way He already has forgiven you.
      God bless you
