I always love the cultural/traditional stuff, so yes, please, more of these.
yes next year
Im french and im learning japanese, films like this are really helpfull because its current japanese language in situation, its perfect, more like this with situation and culture. Thank you very much and take care of you both. 😊
I like how the whole video is has Japanese subtitles! How long does it take to make a video like this? if you don't mind me asking. it's great to see the subtitles, because I get to learn new Kanji! Thank you for adding them regardless of how long it takes!
you are right, it is a great format to pick up new vocabulary.😊
Let the bean wars begin . But who was on cleaning duty? 🤔😂😂
I love the cultural aspects of Japan, so I would really enjoy seeing more videos like this.
My favourite part of the video was Yuya's scared face after Sayaka pelted him with roasted beans. Poor Yuya! ^-^;;
I like so much your videos, I started learning japanese a month ago and is easier with this type of videos, and my favorite part of the video is when you finished preparing the food, and got excited about that.
I liked the bean-throwing part the most. 楽しかったそうだと思います。
楽しかったそうだと思います❌
楽しそうでした。or楽しかったと思います。✅
This was fun! I love learning about Japanese culture and traditions, so I'd love to see more like this! =^-^=
Great video! Setsubun looks so fun! ♡
p.s: that world trip map looks nice too
Gonna have to request more appearances by Yuya-San for future classes, too cool for school 😎
The way you two sat there and ate in total silence was like seeing a battle inside my head to analyse what in the world am i noticing 😭😭 no even comments in middle of chewing down was awkwardly hilarious 🤣😘
Aloha Sayaka-chan. I have heard of eating the beans as many as your age. Love your videos & short ones. Mahalo (thanks in Hawaiian). 🤙😀
Mahalo for learning Japanese with me ☺️
best parts of the video was the bonus clip at the end + when yuya finished eating & tried to make you laugh 😭
This made cry laughing 😂😂!
It’s nice to learn the cultural aspects, but have fun doing it too👍🏾classic!
Loved this video! Please do more Japanese cultural videos like this please!!!
Sayaka sensei I loved the video. You really threw those beans pretty hard. This is my first setsubun in Japan. It was interesting to see everyone at the grocery store lining up to get their ehomaki. A lot of people don't have time to make their own like you did. Keep up the fun videos. More cooking livestreams too. お疲れ様でした
日本語での語彙を1,200語覚えました!みなさんのおかげです、感謝しています!日本語の学習が終わってしまうのは少し寂しいです。モチベーションが足りない感じがします。
すごい! the sushi rolls looked fun and easy to make. It was really cool to see! The bean throwing was of course fun! 😂
Great video! Interesting to know more in detail about culture like this!
Hello🙂Sayaka.. Happy Sunday to you!!
“SETSUBUN”…. looks like lot of 😂 fun…. YAYYYYYYY!!
🤔Part I liked the most?!?…. hmmm, that’s too difficult to pick just “one” thing! 😂😂Making and eating the sushi rolls was very interesting and very funny!
I never tried “eel”, I wonder how it😋tastes! When you did the “close ups” to the camera and said “revenge time” and “nailed it”, that was very funny! 😂😂
The bean throwing was also funny! The “bonus clip” was funny too!
It’s hard to say what to request as a video because just like “Setsubun”, I didn’t even know about that until now, so YES, more Japanese traditions is a good idea for future videos, some more cooking videos like the one you did before, that was AWESOME!! If you have a guest in your videos, maybe some more challenges or contests between you! Whatever you choose is fine, Sayaka, because it’s ALWAYS funny and ALWAYS interesting!! 👍🎓😂
I would say make whatever videos YOU ENJOY MAKING!
Your true colors and who you are always come shining through in your videos.. so just keep doing what you’re doing, Sayaka!! Take care!!
🙂🎓🔥😂💞😂🔥🎓🙂
My favorite part was the bean throwing! Haha don’t know who which one was funniest, the throwing them at the Oni or the bonus clip!
I love this kinda videos, and I can also practice Japanese. I loved the part making ehomaki (sushi roll).
this is so perfect! i’ve been interested in japanese language for awhile, but i’ve started to realize there’s a bunch of things that i’ve learned the *definition* of but not the *meaning* of, if that makes sense. 節分 being one of them! thank you for sharing this with curious people like me (:
Loved the video, it was very fun to watch. Favorite part was the bonus clip.
I’d love to celebrate setsubun if one day I go to japan, looks fun. My sis and I would have a pretty good time throwing beans at each other lmao
Best to stick with the hosomaki 😊. You guys are so much fun, please post more videos.
I love this kind of video. Hope you will make more of these :D

Absolutely love learning about culture and traditions!! I liked seeing how to make the maki! 😊
He's all kind and gentle, throws one bean at a time. She violently hurls hand fulls of beans at him. 🤣
I'm totally doing the bean throwing from now on. That's awesome! I'm definitely going to try rolling, too!

Omoshiroi
👍🙏👍
The English subtitles are a bit off in lot of places, rest I enjoyed a lot!
It's not just me then haha.
Yeah, they were pretty far off at times. I ended up having to ignore them completely because it was confusing.
Ahh, it wasn't just me then.
I’m sorry! This was my first time adding subtitles then the timing for each sentence was automatically placed 🥲 I fixed it now so it should make sense ☺️
Thank you for watching even with the bad subtitles 🥲 Appreciate it 🤍
I'll never forget the time when I was at Ibaraki-ken and having the experience of setsubun and eating a whole Maki at once. Really enjoyed, thanks for the video and thanks for sharing about Japanese culture.
Them: speaking japanese the entire video
Me: "Woaaa I can translate whats written on his hoodie" (without understanding 99% of what they said)
(great video btw, thanks for giving insights into japanese culture!)
Well, from the expression of the faces while eating, I'm sure the ehomaki tasted... well... interesting? 😉
لا إله الا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير
Very interesting. Just japanese can share This type of cultural stuff. Can you show spiritual things, that japanese people believe?
Sayaka, what is “pink Fish floss”?? 🤔
I could never eat the beans! I get bad tummy if I did 😅 Sushi making is enjoyable when I make it. Great video even if the English subs were a bit wonky at times.
want more vlog type videos. i m learning japanese.
hey, new subscriber here. I like the cultural stuff too. but i'm in the veeeeery beginner level so i'd love some more basic stuff as well. but these are great for when i get to the next stage of the language.
Also, if i may suggest 2 technical enhancements that would make your videos (imo) top of the japanese learning materials
1. adding the english subtitles above the japanese furigana, preferably with some highlights as you pronounce so its easier to follow (because turning the subtitles on covers all the japanese characters and you cant follow both)
2. speaking a little more slowly, and leaving a little space between words so dumb people like me can understand each word separately (if you do this, the highliting words currently being pronounced will probably not be needed anymore) -
like on the channel francaisauthentique (just recommending it for the technical suggestions) . i literally became fluent in french in 2 months with 10-15 minutes a day.
I know it would involve adding a huge amount of work to what you are already doing, but i know it would make a huge difference for the people trying to learn
That being said, your work is already helping us out veeeery much, so thank you! God bless you!
😂😂 what’s this intro
Edit: my favorite part has to be the おまけw
ユーヤさん最高😂
Yayyy! 😂 最後まで見てくれてありがとうタリクさん!💓😆
Thank you
Which book is best for learning japanese
ちょっと待って さやかさんは何歳ですか❓❗その部分は一番楽しかったですよね。
