You have no idea how appealing this kind of car is for one car owner type of people who can't justify a sports car as their daily. This thing turned out amazing and I'm all for more unique builds over the usual suspects. Will be interesting to see how it turns out with the auto.
As a evo9 wagon owner I can tell you the car has so much character and the performance potenial is only limited by budget, but even with basic mods has more than enough pep to keep me happy ( intake, exhaust, inter cooler pipes and a 21psi tune)
I have never seen a brake package pop as much as this build, the contrast effect with those wheels is insane!
I love the wagon version on the Evo. Miss my 2006 Mitsubishi Evo MR. Sold it to get my 2012 Nissan GTR which I still own. My Evo was my daily and my kids still have fond memories of it. Thank you for the memories.
Same buddy. Mine was Wicked White. For an RS3 in my case.
😳. Damn.... now wanna see a speed academy Volvo wagon.
Especially a 5 cylinder wagon
where we live here is hot and humid all year long, so having those wind/rain visor do sure helped when parked under the hot sun, opening the window just an inch to let the hot air out of the cabin after a long day baked.
My 2002 W20V Primera wagon has a boot power socket and a reverse camera, JDM cars always ahead of their time! My wind deflectors were very faded but I got them spray tinted black, now they look great!
2003 wagon H6 Subaru also have the power plug outlet in the side trunk area. Japan wagons were always on the top of there game.
I see that NC miata peeking out in the background, can’t wait for that build!
2.5 swap
Clean is the way to go. I applaud taking off stick on "mods".
In my heart of hearts I hope you’re trolling all of us and you have a sourced six speed and clutch pedal assembly sitting behind camera when this is all “done” as a bonus episode
Love the gears and gas reference boys. Keeep on keepin on. You’re doing all the things right. People and followers will come. As always I’m here for it. Also maybe for you rippin all the Tec
The best part of this video was seeing the blue nc1 miata in the background, very excite!!
Wind deflectors are a nice custom touch just for a little something extra, brings a bit more depth. The sides on the Evo wagon look really flat without them.
That Evo looks so good! I love that it’s a wagon as well. Doesn’t need to be a crazy build to be perfect. Keep it up guys!
@3:15 Mitsubishi had that figured out in the 90s
The pajeros came with those outlets in the back as standard
I appreciate the exterior shots outside!! Really shows off the hard work. Hopefully we can get some rollers too? 😊🤔
Wow! Great job guys. I’m a wagon lover, but I’d never loved the EVO wagon, this one changed my mind.
Looks so clean. Nice work boys.
Looks amazing. Such a cool car. Most of the time when you roll the rear fenders with an Evo you get that creasing. It's unfortunate, but really common. I like the wind deflectors. You should put them back on.
A couple methods for rear fenders instead of rolling that may be better:
Try a hammer and dolly to roll the edge over slowly, wrap the dolly with a microfiber and use a hammer or hard mallet on the inside to roll the edge over
Or
Cut off wheel 75-90% of the lip then use the hammer and dolly or fender roller to fold the remaing bit, panel bond the backside and rocker guard the inside lip to seal everything up for near zero lip
Stageas got the 12v plugs in the back as well, super convenient
I like wind deflectors, all you have to do is polish them up and they look brand new.
Wow man that reveal gave me goosebumps it’s incredible…good job fellas you never disappoint 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼
Awww man so clean! I agree about cleaning up the windows.
Looks fantastic! So simple. Doesn’t need a front lip or wild duck wing… nice wheels, tires and stance does the work!
The wheel and tire fitment along with the brake choice really makes this car. excellent choice
Keep doing these videos love how you go into so much detail in everything!
I am definitely a wind reflector kind of guy.. but only the oem ones. Those fit the best. I also have them on my regular Lancer Wagon.
i was actually really excited to see this car on sa3r like in the thumbnail lol
Exactly.
What a clean build!! I hope the auto ends up pretty cool. I hope you guys push some good power also! You guys should raffle your builds!
I had Evo 10 last edition wheel on my 8 when I had it. Looked great.
Awesome wagon
Those tires look really nice
I guess you guys will have to take me for a ride, eh? Fantastic work!
Dang it looks so good. Didn't think it was going to look this good.
you guys are creating a 90s-00s JDM museum of sorts with all of these builds!
I'm definitely a rain graud type of guy, any car i own have to have them, i love the look plus they are functional.
I like weathertech window visors, but without is cool too
Wind deflectors are the Challenger/Charger splitter guards for every other car
So keen for the NC MX5 build
The SA3R in the thumbnail were such a tease
If you are keeping the auto make sure top replace the wave spring in the transmission.
I used those same PowerStop rotors on the front and rear of my Subaru and after only one winter, all the zinc coating had completely rusted off and the rotors looked like crap. By comparison, I've had painted rotors that have lasted for years without rusting.
I love the OEM deflectors. Get new ones! The little mitsubishi embossing on them is awesome
Needs the jdm window deflectors, also awesome to drive int he rain with window cracked!
goddamn she cleaned up well!!!!! i love those wheels, a classic six spoke concave black wheel is an absolute winner for me. while the wagon part is still worthy of a triple take the proportions are perfect. the only thing i'd change design wise is the single tail light down the sides
That rear interior could be the same as the lancer wagon and therefore relatively easy to replace. Maybe you'd need to drill a hole for that 12 volt outlet.
Love wagons and wish the States would sell them. But, just like their measurements and tipping culture, they just love to be different from the rest of the world. Curious as to why you didn't get center caps for the wheels. There are a variety of styles from Advan (flat to raised) and I know they have them because I run RGs on my R32.
Such a rare, unusual and cool wagon build. Makes me want to go into the garage and work on my Alltrack.
Dannggg she is looking good!! Now i'm debating if i should remove the wind deflectors these parts are hard to find nowadays
Awesome build, I've had the Z23 pads on my own car for a while. I've found when you push the car on back roads the pads fade out really quickly. IMO the power stop pads aren't that good and for daily driver use you should use Hawks of some kind
Wow! Great job guys. It looks perfect. I would red or black out the Mits emblems but that's me. lol
3:06 my boy. My 99 montero sport 97 montero sport and my 03 outlander has those.
Dave! PT! longtime viewer from Brampton and I gotta say Awesome build! Lemme buy those old front struts off y'all dont throw them out! Fixing up an 06 outlander and was thinking of lowering it on lancer struts 🦾
Yeah. Good mods all around. Man that thing looks awesome!! Really like the style you guys go for, oem+ with just the right touches for the intent of the car 👍👍
As a Canadian I use the window scraper to hold the brake pedal down haha
Matt black headlights are jdm 8MR, gloss black headlights are jdm 9 👍 nice wagon 🔥
I never seen a evo 9 wagon before looks cool overall
Nice Update
Another homerun gents!!! 👍👍👍
Nice EVO build as always boys and yeah agree money worth spending on the EVO VIII MR Headlights as the matte black is the way to go. GW.
Look at project aero lip kit for a nice finish to your car
Looks bloody awesome
Needs a gloss black form fit bug deflector on it now. I have one on my TC
I would probably argue that 18x10 et35-40 is more optimal purely going by tire size but the advans do look great and you don't really need wider then 245's on a daily anyway.
Another wicked build guys! Keep going! You guys are doing the classic hard hitting shit nobody else is doing! Let's fucking go!!!
Clean is the way.
Evo looks great! ❤
Turned out amazing guys! Bravo!!
Shout out to Ben Lynn.
Huge fan. Love from pakistan 🇵🇰
This thing is so sick, massive wagon guy here. Should we take bets on when the manual swap is going to happen ? My pick is drive it for the summer and over winter start the swap !!!
needs 3mm higher in the rear. my 2004 Pathfinder had 12v socket in the back, same with my 2004 GTI. 🤔. This whole EVO wagon build is "so rad!".... 🏁
That evo loooks badasssssss !!!!
I am using evo9 wagon gt for daily, love to drive it everyday
Looks amazing!
Best Evo 9 ever.
Unique interesting cool and practical!
7:30 great tip! Disconnect the battery too!
What help does taking the battery off do ?
@@damienhancock9408 battery drains with the brake lights on even if the car is off.
Damn sux you picked those wheels
More priming pulse and lil extra cranking duty please.
2:36 I think an access hole with a cover would be super OEM+
Tricky thumbnail, I was expecting the three spokes
I see that Aston Martin hat, the weekend of the Canadian Grand Prix. Coincidence that the only current Canadian F1 driver (Lance Stroll), drives for Aston Martin?
Those air brakes had me thinking that was the BOV
Cover the black trim you wanted to remove with color match silver 3M vinyl
Man this this so cool!
Looks perfect 😍😍
If this isn't a perfect daily street evo I dont know what is🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn, that’s a cool wagon.
Stunning
For the next project.... Forester STi!
LHD + manual swap next!!!
Need to match that front and rear tint 😄
Wait a minute, you didnt want to get a new valve cover or atleast clean it, you didnt want to replace the blue couplers with black ones, but you got refurbished calipers instead of cleaning them or leaving them alone and THEN got a set of headlights that are very expensive
Guys, the evo wagon looks the absolute business.
Best auto channel on RUclips!
proud owner of a manual, boosted mazda protege5 #bringbackwagons
Some had a 110v outlet as well 3:23
The wagon looks amazing, especially without the deflectors but the wheels look bad in black
Maybe that seam cover in the rear can be color matched? 🤔
Looks gorgeous!
