Thank you guys. I've just bought my first TC product, a BH550 Bass head. This kind of innovative ideas are the ones that made me go for your brand. I'm really happy to know that you are still working to improve the experience on toneprints, and overall user experience. I'm an Android user, I'd like to use the editor with my OS, but I know you're working hard to get this tool ready for us. I'll be patient. Thanks again and congratulations, you guys Rock.
This overhaul fixed all of the problems I was experiencing in the pc editor. Thank you so much TC! Just in time for one of my shows!! This is a huge improvement
@@tcelectronic Would be really useful just to be able to share user settings btwn my computer and phone. I programmed on my computer and need to have them on my phone for at the gig.
Just used the Editor yesterday for the first time and thought that it was slow and could need some improvements. And bam, one day later there it was. Looking forward to trying it out :)
Perfect! Now I wish TC would release a new mini pedals (such flashback mini, HOF, etc...) with MASH and ability to save 128 presets that could be recall by midi program changes (with preset 000 being the current active settings). That way, we could use the app to create a specific tone for each song we could recall from our pedalboard switchers... and of course, mini pedal size would mean we could fit more of them and it would matter for the control size since they could be recalled by program change anyway and changed from the new editor. My 2¢
At this level, you could release 67 new pedals - or you could upgrade the free app. I cannot believe this daring business move!!! As a TC owner and fan it's hard to believe I'm not hunting for pedals anymore (well. at least until you are finally releasing a toneprint enabled distortion pedal!) Always loved try TC Electronics pedals....and will love them even more now..
Great update big improvement. Is it possible to improve the search feature to search for delay types? Clicking through ever artist to fin a ducking delay is a pain. Search by tone print name or key word would be handy
Are there toneprints for the Alter Ego X4? Nothing about it on the app. Have four toneprint slots but no actual toneprints. Is it possible to create a swell like the Crescendo on the Alter Ego?
I like this idea and considering getting possibly delay/verb but if i use a artist preset, how can i get the setting for that preset so i can use it live?
question , I've figured out how to edit , now how do you switch to saved edits live at a show ? I have a pipeline , I do see LED'S or anything that tells you which setting you are using ? Perhaps I haven't read enough. Would you need to have a phone /iPad connected and use the screen to choose your setting? I can't see me pulling out a phone and beaming a preset into my pickup ... unless I made it part of the act , like a comedy show
When loading a toneprint to the Dreamscape, the blue light have to flash? In my pedal the blue light stays always the same, no flash, in the other pedals it flashes...
3:57 Steve Buscemi...where's the flashback 2 firmware update I've been getting notifications about for tap tempo?!?! Looked all over the downloads section and nothing for flashback ii!
Hi! I understand that I can create a toneprint via the iPhone linked to the pedal via USB. Is that possible for the Flashback mini (as it doesn't have a toneprint storage location on it) ? If so, can I store the created toneprint on the iPhone? If so, Can I use only the iPhone in order to beam my personal toneprint into my flashback mini (without using the USB cable) after I created it? Can we create a toneprint on mac and transfers it to the iPhone app? Best, Boris.
It actually only has a TonePrint storage location, so yes you can. I havn´t tried the iPhone application, but it think the functionality is the same as on a PC, so you can do that. I don´t think you can transfer a Mac generated toneprint til the iPhone. But why make things so complicated. Make and save the toneprints on your MacBook, often you will only do that once and you are good to go.
You guys are on to something here. Its 2018, I don’t want to have to be I’m connected to a computer, I wanna use my phone. Good work. As I watch people compare presets of TC pedals to other pedals, I can’t edit the other’s presets. I want custom stuff so this is great. When is TC going to make a multi-FX pedal? I want your tone-print stompboxes all in one. I want to be able to route the FX in what order I want, and edit presets with the toneprint app. At least allow four effects, OD/Dist, Modulation, Delay, and Reverb. C’mon....I payed $699 for an H9Max, and its great, but only one effect at a time. You guys can do it!!!

I wish there was a way to turn all the default modes on a toneprint pedal into editable/saveable TonePrint slots. There’s so many default sounds that I never ever use but I always wish I had more TonePrint slots. Would be cool if you could turn this feature on in a similar way that you have to enable tap tempo on the flashback 2 via the app.
TC Electronic I just want to add how grateful I am for the new app features already, and that as a company you seem to always be moving into new territory and ideas, and listening to customer feedback. Keep up the great work!
I'm stuck trying to find a sound preview mode on both Mac desktop and iOS devices. I know I used to be able to preview tones with older versions of the software and app, but now it's gone. Please help.
@TCelectronics PLEASE guys make the toneprint apps better already. Make it so that we can share our toneprints with eachother at least. Also, if anybody reads this with more knowledge about how making toneprints works and mathrock guitar tones. I've been trying and failing to make a reverb tone for the HOF2 mini reverb that gets close to the reverbs used by people like the RUclipsrs and Artists Ichika or LetsTalkAboutMathRock. I know they use Walrus or Mercury 7 reverbs with plate setting of some kind but i just don't know how to get it to sound right. Anyway, I still like this pedal and use it all the time but I just wish the community was able to share their creations on the app itself or that there was a community around Toneprint at all. I feel like if TC put more effort into making the app, tools, and website better as well as easier to understand then more people would buy these pedals.
The Editor does not work with Android as of yet. We're trying to find a solution, but right now the Android platform just doesn't allow this. Our apologies.
@tcelectronic the connectors are so close to each other that the power supply and usb connector cannot fit, why are they so close? who invented it? it doesn't make sense. another thing, why can't the settings be saved for the future? interesting technology and idea, but these details need to be worked out
SpectraComp pedal needs more tone print choices please. It's very very limited, and the choices that are offered are not my thing. Please please add more choices for this pedal!!!
So -- opening up the new editor it does seem that I can see the default settings templates available for edit. But when I save it just overwrites the Toneprint slot. Is that correct? From the video it almost seemed like he was saying we could now edit the default pedal mode settings and still keep the toneprint slot free for something else...
Yes, this is true, but when I send it to the pedal it overwrites the toneprint slot. From the video it seemed that the new app allows us to make changes to the default settings and update them on the pedal. No?
Matthew Gavette that would’ve been so sweet. I was thinking that’s what he was saying as well for a second. But I don’t think that is what he’s saying. He’s saying you can start with one of the default settings and tweak it and save it to a TonePrint slot.
Hi guys. Yes, exactly. It's just that you can use the defaults as a starting point, but you still need to load them into a TonePrint slota. The defaults on the pedal itself can't be edited or swapped out in any way. Sorry.
Could someone let me know how to make sound that second delay in the dual delay templates for the flashbackx4 delay, please? I tried to modify the rest of parameters but only the first delay sounds... Many thanks!
Yeah, that´s what I was using.... but only the Dly1 sounds. I change the milliseconds in the Dly2, the feedback2 and nothing happens. I only hear the Dly1. Any idea of what´s the problem, please? Thanks!
I downloaded the new editor to my laptop, and I'm very confused. First, the top of the window is off the screen when the app opens, so I can't exit the program or move it around on my screen without switching to 'tablet' mode and rotating the whole darn computer, which is very cumbersome with it plugged in to the pedal and power. Also, I have no idea what many of the editor controls and settings do on my pedal (HOF orginal), for example, what do the red, blue and gold options on the graph do? how do I access them? Also, several of the parameter names in the modulation tab aren't very clear (in other words, I don't know what they're supposed to do.) The whole thing is very confusing and not very self-explanatory. Maybe it's me, and I'm just a luddite, but I think some menus or some mouse-over pop-ups would help users understand how it all works and get more out of their tc electronics gear.
Hi Patrick. The Red, Blue and Gold options are the three parameters that you can assign to a knob (or the footswitch if the pedal is MASH enabled). You simply click on them to select them and then drag and drop the graph lines to your liking. We are currently looking into some mouse-overs to ease understanding of some of the parameters.
Just bought a bh250. Downloaded the toneprint app on my iphone 6s which does not work at all and the motherboard on my phone is now toast. Completely broke my phone and the tech i took it too agrees that the app was probably the culprit. To be fair the amp sounds awesome even though i will be sending it back as the toneprint is a useless feature it seems and I won't risk downloading that app ever again. I will mention that talking to someone at tc electronics is next to impossible.
Hey TC Support folks - please fix the constant iOS App crashes since the upgrade?! I've emailed you, posted on your support forum and left 1 star review in the Apple App Store. Others are also reporting the same issue; app worked last night (June 26) but today it crashes on "Loading..." or "Still loading..." screen. Have deleted the app, rebooted my iPhone, re-installed the app - same crashing app situation. TonePrint Editor is also crashing per the posts on your user support forum. I want to use the new app, but it has to stop crashing on my iPhone. Thank you!
Please!!! have Guthrie Trapp (the great studio Guitarist and Nashville Artist) make a Tremolo and Reverb Toneprint. Like a Blackface amp reverb and a tremolo similar to the Tremster. Pleeeease!!!
PLEASE, dont do the same errors that Fender did with Fender FUSE, letting some 3rd party guys make the app for android (remuda app) that Fender failed to make and then making all of us pay for the app.
TC Electronic... I'm not an app developer, but this doesn't seem to be very consistent with the operating systems. Android is typically very open source and iOS is not. Do you have any timescales at to how quickly this feature will be rolled out to Android?
Plus: can actually use the Android app since navigation doesn't have glacial responsiveness. Negative: Randomly decides to break back functionality on the main page, and more seriously, the Android app doesn't support editing of toneprints. A definitive improvement, but pretty meh.
The lack of editing is unfortunately a shortcoming of the Android platform. We are working to see if we can circumnavigate these restrictions, but it's tough going with a technology that just doesn't support this kind of integration. Apologies.
The Editor unfortunately doesn't currently work with Android. We are working hard to find a solution, but as it stands, the Android platform just doesn't support this in the way that iPhone does.
I just bought the SpectraComp pedal and am disappointed. I really wish there were more choices with toneprints associated with this pedal but it's choices are limited
The application does not work, before losing all your previous patches look in the forums that talk about this problem. The company has not done anything about it.
The Toneprint Editor is a major step ahead of alle the competition out there, hats of for that, but sadly this app got released a little too soon. It shows up as malicios software in Norton, and it does not scale on many laptops. It opens up with a much to large window, which has disabled all the Windows sizing possiblities, so that it is completely unusable, and there is no temperary fix for that. 3rd party programs that are made for resizing Windows app windows, seams not to work.
No offense but this is Still Horrible! Wireless to beam effects to pedal but need a camera connection kit to edit. So far behind in technology! I’ve got over $1200 in TC pedals that I use this app for. The editor needs to be hands free, on the go. I can select which pedal, then make any adjustments directly on the app. Save that template/setting and then beam to the pedal. If it’s not exactly what desired, then I can go directly back to my template/editor and make adjustments and re-beam. This extra wire and connection is aimlessly retarded. Please consider this easy fix.
We truly appreciate your custom over the years, and thank you for your continued support. But as Quinto_FGC correctly points out, the only way to give you what you want would be to retrofit your 7 year old Corona Chorus (or whatever other pedals you may have) with a Bluetooth chip. Unless you know another way of allowing your entire TC pedal collection to communicate wirelessly with your telephone without physically modifying the pedals? Easy fix it ain't. Unfortunately 😕
TC Electronic . Bluetooth is not needed. I understand your misunderstanding my direction. Look- the phone app works with thee guitar pickup. So the app Only needs to be able to edit/make adjustments alone without being plugged into the pedal. Then save that template, then directly as it is now-beam that template/adjustment to Guitar pickup/pedal. Very simple. Yes, you would not be able to “real-time” hear the adjustments as your changing the parameters but it would eliminate the cable to phone and pedal process. This option with the cable would still be used but also both ways available. Being able to edit a template/patch/setting without plugging in. It’s Very simple. The app only needs to have these parameter adjustments shown when selected. That’s all. The, like the app works now-beam that adjustment to guitar>pedal. It already does that. Only change you need to make is allowing the app to display the (editor) parameter adjustment (that are shown/available when it’s plugged in) when using the app without it being plugged into the pedal. Very Easy. Yes.
J. Smith Its not the same process... If you have a HoF mini with one knob, and you had all the parameters on the phone to tweak it already, how many times would you beam to dial in an ambient reverb effect, and how much time would it take to get it right? Sometimes the pedal doesnt receive it either, so youll have to beam again... I rather hook into the pedal, dial in the effect in real time, and be done with it. The amount it takes to beam the pedal, is the same time to walk over to it, hook in and tweak. Beaming it was designed for when you need quick presets loaded at that moment. But tweaking and editing? Its not the best thing to use in that aspect.
I'm proud of you guys, I always hoped that the toneprint platform would evolve to this level.
Tor, you work hard for the money. You guys are always on the cutting edge of pedals.

Yes
Do the TonePrints for the original hall of fame work for the arena reverb or are there no specific TonePrints for the arena?
How do I change the semitones on the brainwaves TonePrint???
I have the tc electronic amp that supports tone print. But can I use it without any pedals?

Android is typically very open source and iOS is not.
Do you have any timescales at to how quickly this feature will be rolled out to Android?
The new app is great but it doesn't work on Mac OS 10.9, unfortunately.
Great ideia tc very cool
my pedal doesn't connect
Deviam fazer uma porra mais fácil para atualizar o firmware porque só consigo utilizar o tone print se for por cabo usb.
This works onde Windows 10?
Mine not...
Apologies.
It's possible now 🙂 bit.ly/toneprint-4106
OK, I think I have the latest Android version (4.0.05) and all I see is the library. How do I get in the editor? Am I missing the obvious?
The Editor unfortunately doesn't currently work with Android. We are working hard to find a solution, but as it stands, the Android platform just doesn't support this in the way that iPhone does.
Lego?! Awesome.
THANK YOU.
Looks like Im getting an I phone, and more tc pedals.
I just bought the SpectraComp pedal and am disappointed. I really wish there were more choices with toneprints associated with this pedal but it's choices are limited
We're looking to make new TonePrint all the time, but it can be tricky with a bass-specific pedal. We'll get there, I promise!
Just add the Duff McKagan chorus and I'd be happy!!!
Praise be!
The application does not work, before losing all your previous patches look in the forums that talk about this problem. The company has not done anything about it.
Are you still having trouble, Gerado? What phone and operating system are you using?
I have the latest TonePrint Editor installed on my MacOSHigh Sierra.
oh hell yaaaaaaaa love u Tc
The Toneprint Editor is a major step ahead of alle the competition out there, hats of for that, but sadly this app got released a little too soon. It shows up as malicios software in
Norton, and it does not scale on many laptops. It opens up with a much to large window, which has disabled all the Windows sizing possiblities, so that it is completely unusable,
and there is no temperary fix for that. 3rd party programs that are made for resizing Windows app windows, seams not to work.
This must be some new-fangled meaning of the word "explained". It's as if it is part 2 of the explanation.
genius!
Listening to the complaints......manage your expectations. Users of gear have it made these days.
A W E S O M E ! ! !
Very Easy. Yes.
Quinto_FGC . With or without a cord...your still going through this Exact same process.
Quinto_FGC most players know what their desiring and will accomplish it in a take or 2. It’s very simple.
Always the same problems!
ONLY FOR APPLE!
.... Stop making software only for these fucking Apple stuff! Lot's of people use android, and windows....
The App currently works on Android! We are very close to having the Editor section also up and running on Android too 🙂
@@tcelectronic yes I use the app. It works great but I'm waiting for the editor. I'm glad to know you're working on it. Thanks.
It's coming very soon, I promise 🙂
@@tcelectronic It would be just wonderfull. I love those toneprint pedals, the sound is great.
