As they were never available in AU (and didn’t meet ADR37A) you won’t have seen one in Australia. But what you may have seen, is a VN SL. I’ve seen 2 IRL and photos of a 3rd one. They didn’t last long though, within a few months they were discontinued, along with the manual steering that the SL had. The VN was the last (AU) Commodore to have a model with optional power steering.
I seen one here in nz for sale for a few grand. I can say I've never seen one in real life though. Definitely still rare here

Did these 2 litre VN's ever come in manual? Also kind of want to see one spinning the rear wheels (if that's even possible 😂)
