Gosh, I want to get one of these! Also, if you don't mind me self promoting a little bit, I have pen rests available in my Etsy store that are great for keeping your pens from rolling away. Just posted a video recently on my channel about them. They come in two sizes for two or three pens. Great video by the way. The quality is great! I'm glad I found your channel!
Looks good, but the balance doesn't sound great... are there any good pens with more weight towards the nib like copper / brass / bronze in that part of the pen? I think that would help the balance a lot. All my calligraphy pens are plastic and wood and I am not crazy about the balance.
Does the nib unit unscrew? Curious if I can easily swap the nibs on these. But definitely digging the teal color. Just don't know if the larger one is worth the extra.
That really is a lovely pen. I noticed the nib sings a bit, which I happen to love. I know some people dislike the sound, but I like tactile and auditory feedback. Thank you for the awesome review. I’ll definitely look into this company.
Entirely different affair, the Procyon has a springier nib, where as these are jowo. Also the Procyon will be slightly finer being a Japanese nib. Even aesthetically speaking they are entirely different I feel.
Great review. Thank you. The logo is the same as the British Ordnance aurvey mark put on pavements and walls to mark the survey points since? 19th Century. Also used by the military to mark equipment as theirs until the end of the 2nd WW. I'm ordering one of these... Thank you.
Ben Walsh has informed me that it's possible to request a pen and packaging with no scent. He does add the scents deliberately (I know that the rainbow-treated Skittles pen smalls like candy). Those who are sensitive to scents, as I am, would do well to ask him to skip that step.
People might be interested in checking out the similar Stilform INK pen, a German company, which has magnetic closure and a flat edged roll stop but isn't designed to post.
@@PenFriends A minimalist tubular 'Bauhaus' design, with rounded ends, in either titanium or aluminium and steel or gold nibs. They come in a variety of colours (my favourite is the dark green) and are quite light, especially the aluminium. Similar to the Lamy Aion but with magnetic closure, an optional clip and, in my view, a better, purer design. Gravitas are better value (especially if you include the sleeve and converter) but I think are heavier and more for those who like untreated metal finishes. I love the design of the Gravitas pen sleeve and Ordnance Survey logo but I am slightly surprised that they haven't had copyright problems as these large concerns tend to be quite litigious. I am also very keen on the Narwhal Nautilus, a very attractive and well priced tubular ebonite piston filler, if you aren't already aware of it. Best wishes to you and your channel.
I love mine and you're absolutely right about the section. It's a joy to write with. My second Gravitas but my favorite so far.
I’m looking forward to the pocket pen! And the interesting textures Ben is working on!
Gorgeous pen. I want one. The different colors are beautiful.
They really are, there are also a few new models coming out soon! The Pocket and Sentry. Definitely worthwhile checking out!

Pen rests are great! Just got one from Eboya actually :)

Well they are produced in pocket and sentry size as well :) so there should be something for everyone !

I can’t confirm at the moment, but I believe they are screw in nib units. I like the size of the entry!

Agreed, a singing nib is nothing bad! It's what makes a fountain pen charasmatic. I honestly feel these are some of the best value pens going.
I love Ben's Pens!
How does it compare to something like Platinum Procyon?

I like the colour and shape on this pen! It is classy and modern 🖋🤍
They are doing skittles version of this soon?
Great review. Thank you.

I believe they still use this mark in sone MOD purchases, Elliot Brown serve the military and have been authorised to use this mark.
Lovely pen, appears to be well constructed. Surprisingly, the reverse writing was quite smooth. 😊
It surprised me too, I’d never of thought you could reverse write with a stub!

That’s actually really awesome! I had no idea he would do that!

I’ve heard of stilform, not done anything in regards to looking any deeper into it! What’s the unique selling point ?

is it just me or does it seem like you apply a lot of pressure when you write?
Nope, may look like it, but I don’t
