The main core problem with the game is this: we are already bored of starcraft and we are craving somethig new. Now we got terrans, protoss and infernals. The problem is with the vibe of the factions and the lack of uniqueness. I love infernals, bur why did they make a terran and a protoss like faction too? Where is the fantasy guys? Dwarves , trolls, frost giants, mages, horses, fairyes, dinos anything could have to work, why the hack would you just copy something which is there for 20x years? The factions and units are not brave enough, feels like you are playong a "safe game" here. The luck is that the engine works quite well it looks fluid and has tones of potential. You just need creative world building ideas.
They don't feel like terran and protoss and zerg tho. They feel fresh, different. You're always going to be able to compare any RTS faction to the grandads of RTS SCBW and SC2.
@@sirsaltzalot9369 so if they are different why they look the same and have the same kind of vibes. Comon there is a medviac with the same voice acting and a siege tank with the same concept. They could have to make the whole thing into some fantasy setup and nobody would compare them to sc. And the new carrier??
@@benme2253 yes, it's called paying homage to your core roots, you've clearly never built anything with your own hands, everything you make has fragments of your previous works involved, it's an emotional and spitirual side to creativity, you seem to see the product, but none of the effort that goes into it, a bunch of "geeks" crowded around drawing boards and computers getting little chuckles and kicks from looking at fun ways to pay respect to the things both they loved, and us as customers enjoying their work it's not a medivac, doesn't heal units, does starcraft own troop carriers now? and same for the "new carrier" as you describe, hello the scrin says what? you all forget this is also heavily inspire by command and conquer, which is not a fantasy game, stormgate is not a warcraft related game, it's not fantasy, it's sci-fi, you just come across as a baseless entitled non-gamer just complaining because it's the trendy thing to do, you have zero points of reference in the real world to actually make an informed opinion, that's your problem, you have such a narrow world view, you are comparing it to a tiny fragment of things that it's actually inspired by, to me, you are just a noob RTS player that knows none of the real history to any of these games, you ride the sensation but care little for the actual culture,
It's easy to balance this cheese, 1. Reduce the movement speed of Arc ship by 20% (movement speed can be upgraded) 2. Increase the build time of Argents 3. Increase the build time of structures across the board
I would like it to play more like warcraft than starcraft where buildings take a lot longer to build, building upgrades take way longer, and tier 2 and 3 cost way more. Then like you said the arc ship should be slow like a night elf building and then with the slower tier 2 tech hiding the speed upgrade you can't rush with it. It would also help if building had way more health like in warcraft so that they can't just rush you and destroy your production or pop buildings immediately.

Damn... a GOAT already?.... shiiiit...... for this game to be to good... it hasssss to be better then Starcraft. Otherwise... your wasting your time.
