Jamo is the deep threat but the Lions just don't go deep that much. Most of their play is handing it off to Sonic (and previously Knuckles), medium passes to LaPorte, and underneath stuff to St Brown. Sometimes Jamo gets the underneath stuff too. However, since they rarely go deep it sets up the deep pass quite well and Jamo gets a lot of yards when they do it. It didn't work out so well against the Vikings like it has but that is probably due to the Vikings really good defense. The Lions will take what you give them. If it means 5-8 yds a play then that's fine and if it means the deep ball then that's fine too.
@@baruchfishman1874 Even when he gets the underneath stuff, Jamo turns it into big gains; he averaged 17.3 yards per catch, second-best in the league behind Alec Pierce of the Colts.
They are using the right people at the right spots for sure! Plus Gibbs got hands plus mad vision, Monster Montgomery plowing through defenders, what a squad!!
The lion's are by far more dangerous than you think. It sucks we're most likely going to lose both coordinators to head coaches next year. Unfortunately, they are still in Detroit for the playoffs. Good luck
Good luck to the contenders club we just got Joe Brady for a full season and he's already got three or four interviews set up I mean the guy finally schemes offense with basically nobody receivers except for Khalil Shakir who is is really only a buffalo known weapon of samurai quality LOL but yep join the club they want to interview Terrence gray or director of player personnel the only thing that would be beneficial to that would be the Rooney draft picks we would get if you were hired as a GM Joe Brady will most likely be gone and I have no idea who will replace him on the OC side they might have to look outside of the business because they went from dable to a QB coach to another QB coach and I don't even really know who the hell the QB coach is now LOL because they've changed three times in the last two seasons
Dunno if the Lions will lose *either* coordinator. More likely to lose Glenn, as Johnson has already made it clear he's looking for the right situation. A segment on Detroit sports radio went through the vacancies team by team, and if I recall correctly, there was only one team and situation in which either is believed to be about neck-and-neck for the best odds, and neither the odds-on favorite for *any* team.
To where? rofl the lions will only get better with players coming back and you think the coaches are going to leave, a team thats about to go to the superbowl, win or lose doesnt matter the payout would have to be insane and it would have to be an already built team for them to even consider it, no one has that. + our management is amazing.
Yes it's very unfortunate we're going to lose both Aaron and Ben they're both great coaches and both are very deserving of a high salary head coaching job
@@paulwalsh369 If I recall correctly there is no salary cap for coaching positions, and the Lions haven't been doing things like everybody else lately. What if they pay Johnson and Glenn more than they would make in head coaching positions elsewhere?
I keep hearing that the offense started off slow. What the lions have done all year is wear the opposing defense down. Break them. They have to run wind sprints every play with the speed our receivers have.
Nice work AGAIN FL! Thank you. Gibbs - O0oMy... seems like his strength and speed creates a 'vector', like a windmill through tacklers... several times a matrix of cuts/straight arm smimmy arc motion? / out classing power--went right by players like he has a forceshield/forcefield? The Arm punt from Goff on that play when they were in the endzone was actually kinda a smart play (I get it a INT is never good) but he gave the Vikings worse field position than if he threw like a screen and it was picked like his 1st INT. He showed mad love to t he defense and it was deserved. Obv Jahmyr is fkn insane too they said Brian Flores would frazzle this offense like he did to so many teams but Goff is INCREDIBLE against the blitz.
INT's really don't tell alot of the story, like the armpunt or a last second hail mary. yes they count as INT's but calculated INT's and that really matters imho. The armpunt might even be a better idea than just taking a regular punt out of the endzone when its that close to the own endzone. Rather take the armpunt INT than a pick six or a fumble recovered by the other team. The first INT was tipped, great play by the defender.
The main issue with the arm punt was that it was on first down. It was a “Who are you throwing the ball to?” pass…. Apparently, it was supposed to go to JaMo, but there was miscommunication because JaMo stopped running. Honestly, though, Goff’s worst throw came on an attempted interception that was dropped by the defender (if the defender had caught that ball, it would have been a pick six).

I was getting a bit worried about the defense. But with the return of Anzalone, just one of a few that are out, the defense kicked it! The offense is rock solid!
They have the juice all natural gluten free no preservatives, will the energy given by the juice that's called the Lions last long enough to lick out of a Super Bowl .
There is a chance, for sure. I feel like Sam got exposed a bit, and I dont know that they can compete with the offensive power the Lions bring with their D (and with Monty back it becomes even more dynamic). Would be a fun matchup to watch!

I'm trying to remember when the Lions last played the Eagles. I'm afraid I disagree with you... and the Eagles are actually the best team in football right now. If you look back at previous seasons - Hurts (and Burrow) are the only QBs who can really compare to Allen with regard to their mobility.... it's just that this year, the Eagles haven't had to use that particular tool. If he's healthy, they beat the Lions hands down. Of course, that's just my opinion. Why don't they face off more often? I can find Eagles vs Vikings... and Eagles vs Green Bay... Eagles vs Bears, even... but aside from a snow game in ... what... 2013? I can't remember a time when they had a stand-out game together. (tongue in cheek)
As a life-long Lions fan (I listened to their last championship win on the radio in '57) all we ever heard about was how 'great' Packers and Cowboys quarterbacks are. Now we hear all about is how "great" Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts are. When either of them win a Super Bowl, let me know. The Lions have the best all-around team in football. We all know how they were screwed by the referees in many games over the years. Funny, but now that they're winners we see them getting some breaks. Lions all the way! Lions had stronger SOV and SOS than Philly.
Explain how the eagles are the best please cause I don’t agree with anything you’re saying. When the eagles play the lions on the NFC it’s going to be a great game and lions will come out on top. So many weapons on offense and defense is getting healthy. So for you to say they would get beat hands down is outrageous
The Eagles heavily rely on Barkley and Hurt to carry the team, whereas the Lions have a stacked roster with depth at wide receiver, running back, defensive end, defensive line, cornerback, linebacker, and quarterback. Despite having 24 players on the injured reserve list, we managed to go 8-0 on the road and score 42 points against the Bills without many of our defensive starters. Now that nearly all of our defensive players are returning for the playoffs, it's clear that we're a more formidable team than the Eagles will ever be.
