I don’t want to hate on the ship, but I just don’t really get it. It reminds me of crackshipping.
Season 1-2: Tom: I hate Marco.
And then they kinda blossom into friendship. FRIENDship. They seem like bros, not homos. I feel like in a relationship it would be awkward. I think people only ship it because it’s one of the rare gay ships in this series, and are just desperate for some -yaoi-. It really seems like they would break up in a month or so.
Again, no hate. If people ship it, it’s fine. I am just asking why people ship it.

And remember, during the battle against Meteora, Marco told Tom he kissed Star. Tom’s reaction was expected at first, but he came back because he’s taken Marco as a best bro instead of a *love rival* (yes that is a reference) and I know that it could blossom into romance, but by the time it could’ve happened StarTom would already be a thing. I think Marco will focus on Kelly, now that she is hinting feelings. Same goes for Tom and Star, he’d be more focused on being better for her. Reason why he became friends with Marco in the first place.
Also, can you explain more about how it’s relatable? Are you referring to the gay peeps that watch the show? i aM CoNfUsiOn.

. . . Not until I saw this video did I actually realize how many characters people in the fandom actually ship Marco with. The only ship you didn't have was Janco (which I saw the headstone for at 1:02 as well as the one for PeridotXAmethyst, which I thought was pretty clever, adding in those Easter eggs).
