EQ How-To 005 - Kia EV6 Meridian Sound Settings

- Many have complained that the Kia EV6 Meridian sound system is not that good, but if you configure it with custom settings it sounds great. It may not have the punch-in-the-chest base that my previous Niro EV Harmon Kardon system had, but the Kia EV6 Meridian sound is more crisp, has tighter base, and in my opinion, has an overall better sound. These are the customized settings I use, but suggest you experiment to find the settings that your ears like.😎
Let me know if you want me to show you how to configure something specific and I will see what I can do.

========================
I made the changes as requested(with a little more treble added) it made a hide difference in sound. Thanks!
Thanks for this. My salesman (I know..) told me the meridian sound system had a sub woofer but that sometimes you have to "turn it on". Sadly, I found it and it's on.
You are welcome. Also, make sure you have had the software updates done to your car, especially if you have a 2022, because there was an update for the amplifier, and they replace the amplifier.
this setup works good on my Ioniq 5 Preferred, thanks
Very Good settings
Equalizer triple 0
mid 0
bass 10
Intelligent IQ high
sound mode Authentic
I compared it with a high-end Samsung soundbar
this is the closest setting to the soundbar
Try it I am sure you will like it
A before and after sound example would be great. It maybe a little tricky to hear the difference on RUclips. This is the one area that would be a deal killer for me, as I have enjoyed HK systems for the last 17years and this car in currently at the top of my list to get next year.
There is no way to reproduce the difference in sound in a video on RUclips, sorry. This video is part of my 60 second EQ How-To series of videos that simply show how to access or configure certain menus. Sorry.
Thanks for the video. Can you tell us if the new update for the sound system did change anything? I am Gettin my gt-line 2 at the end of the month. Thanks
The update added some bass to the subwoofer and it increased the volume levels quite a bit; I used to leave my volume at 15, now I use 5 or 7 before turning the car off. Generally speaking, the update was a good improvement. The sound quality remains clear and more realistic (better?) than my Niro's Harmon Kardon system was, but the Meridian system still has less punch when it comes to the subwoofer, but I am more than happy with the EV6 sound system.
Is this only available for certain vehicles? I've got Horizon edition UK version. No such settings are available to me.
This video is for the Kia EV9 Meridian system.
Where is the sound Demo?.... Some music with Swing Latino 🤣🤣🤣
😆😂😆
My car's maximum volume for playing BlueTooth audio is 75. Is that normal? Seems like a strange number for Kia to select.
If you are cranking the volume up that high, then it sounds like you have not had the recall updates done to your car. Kia will replace your subwoofer and update the system. As for the 75 number, yes, it is weird, but that is the way it is.
@@EV-olution That is so odd. I just got this car a week ago. Brand new 2024 gtline.
Interesting.
Android auto makes it sound like crap, use Bluetooth and then switch to android auto and you will see the volume gets dropped
Thanks for the tip
