You both are really just getting better with your reviews. Your attention to detail is among the best available on RUclips. I love Cadillacs, and this one looks great. I am concerned re:Turbo life if the start/stop doesn’t allow the turbo to cool sufficiently before engaging. If it were mine I would make sure to disable start stop. On the other Cadillacs with the mandatory start stop, it can be defeated by running in m5 or m7 depending on trans, instead of D.
I have a GM without the start stop disable and running in manual gearing is great but it's a lock out feature vs. a select a gear feature like most cars. It makes the vehicle dangerous when slowing to a stop because the transmission stays in a high gear and is reluctant to come down because you're telling it to stay in a high gear.. which results in the brakes having to essentially overpower the transmissions forward push. I've experienced it several times when trying to do the "M6" drive mode. It's not a good solution.. So, I pull the shifter back into L at every intersection and stop light. It's become such a habit now I have a hard time not doing it. Sometimes I just let the Stop/Start do it's thing but it can be quite intrusive and borderline dangerous during certain maneuvers. Not a huge fan of the concept at all.
@JakeDrives So they defeated the defeat. Sad. TFL car has a bypass device for sale, check their turbo Silverado review to see. Odd how they start a review advertising a defeat device, but I’m afraid it’s going to be necessary.
I've never really been a fan of Cadillac-Buick-Oldsmobile, mainly because they were typically geared towards the older/elderly crowd. However, it seems they're changing their direction these days, especially with SUVs like this. I think they're headed in the right direction with this one, if they're trying to reel in a younger buyer.
Can your next reviews be comparisons? I think you should compare Subaru Forester to Honda CRV, Chevy Equinox to GMC Terrain, and Toyota Camry to Chevy Malibu.
Good review. I would get the 18" wheels. The 20's make it look like a clown car. Too big for this size vehicle. IMO. I would prefer the 3.6 engine if offered. I really don't like forced induction!
It never makes sense on a RUclips video to demonstrate a sound system with 14 or more speakers to be replicated through TV or the phone speakers. Why even bother.
Too many "extra" cost options and packages! Who would ever buy the "base" model? Not enough HP or Torque for a Cadillac; especially with no other engine available. No way for my family!
I bought one of these NEW XT4's in Dec 2018 and DUMPED it in Feb 2019. AWFUL experience with Cadillac. First thing to know about his car is, it has no GAS GAUGE NEEDLE.. I ran out of gas twice. There is a typical gas gauge dial, but instead of a needle there are really small lights... The are easy to miss. Plus, the vehicle has terrible range, small gas tank. Cadillac does everything they can to extend and divide most wanted options, so you have to buy all kinds of packages, just to get a few options that you really want. I liked the COOL looking LED lights on the back, tail lights, but if you want LED's on the front, you must order a SPECIAL PACKAGE or get the SPORT MODEL. I dont like the clear lenses in the rear of the Sport Model, but those are a MUST HAVE for sport. The back of the car, began to get uglier and uglier as I owned it longer. These aren't selling well. MY suggestion is if you really want one, wait a year or two and but used, for less than half price. Cadillac has AWFUL RESALE values... That another reason I got out of mine quick.
How do you know this vehicle is not selling well? I'm beginning to see the XT4 on the streets on a daily basis. Your complaint about this vehicle is subjective and does not reflect anything but a inconvenience about the gas gauge. I'm not convince that you own this vehicle based on what I'm reading from you.
@@johnls39 Who cares what you think. To anyone serous about buying this car, believe me, the gas gauge is unreadable, and the total range is not good. This car will run you out of gas. Car company always advertise lease programs on cars that they can't sell.
@@cmscms123456 And who cares of what you think of the car. I'm still convince that you did not own this car. If you did own this car, you would take the time out learning how to use the functions on the steering wheel to keep from running out of gas. Also, the lease program have nothing to do what you think the reason the car is not selling. The XT4 is selling and if you don't provide proof, then you are delusional and just complaining for the hell of it.
@@johnls39 Prospective buyers care what I think... I owned one and lived with it. Poor gas mileage/range, and no gas gauge spells disaster. They are 'concerned' You sound like a dealership or salesman... Besides, if someone really wants to own a XT4, wait 12-18 months and buy a low milage one for $12-15,000. @@johnls39 As for the tech and sheering wheel controls.... that's another thing, there is no oil dip stick on the engine... I really dont want to get 87 menus and sub-menus into a new car's techie computer, just to check the oil level or gas level. Just GIVE ME A DIP STICK and a NEEDLE ON THE GAS GAUGE.
Chris O both offer great premium materials for there respected classes and reliability I have own cars from both companies and there both great I own a Lexus is350 f sport and a Cadillac CTS v sport and a 2011 GMC Acadia Denali and I love them all
These reviews keep getting better and better ❤️
I LOVE those gauges! 😍 that setup is gorgeous, crisp and clean!
That is a sharp Cadillac XT4, love the gear shifter, great new CUE system, another great video, can't wait for more!
This is a good car, Cadillac is going in the right direction and it will benefit them a lot.
I like the XT4. I am incredibly excited for the CT5. A car with the CTS handling and an even better interior? Sounds *incredible*
Love this new XT4! Looks like really good all around winner for GM and Cadillac. Great review as always guys.
Thank ya¡
These are already selling great. They sold over 7000 in the last months of 2018. Not even a full quarter.
I love the 2019 Cadillac xt 4! It’s very very nice!! I love the audio start stop and the Electronic shifter!!!!
Enjoyed the review! I'll be test driving one of these this weekend.
4 years later in 2023 will be test driving a 2019 mildly used luxury model. I'm grateful for your review!

Congrats! 👍
This is a good vehicle for the segment. The LSY engine makes it 3 mpg more fuel efficient than the german competition.
I love your channel!!! The videos and cars just keep getting better!!

Good review ☺️
Howdy, great review as always!😸
Thanks as always 🙂
I would have bought one in a Heartbeat, if it had had the 3.6 or 3.0 V6, instead of a 2 liter with a Turbo. I bought a XT5 with the 3.6 instead.
Wow this car is a game changer but I think Cadillac is not going to make the most value out of this car
Cadillac already sold 7000 in December

Can you do a comparison with the Lexus UX
I still can’t get over the fact that Cadillac charges extra for all paint but silver. 🤦♂️
And heated seats
All Luxury manufacturers do this, only non metallic white and black have $0
Hey connfections review a fully loaded kia sedona!
Do toyota land cruiser vs Honda crv
Obviously land cruiser wi WiN!
Lots knock Infiniti's and Acuras infotainment but this doesn't look too great itself.
Would you choose the caddy or the Lexus nx

LEXUS
