I've been a fan of Cliff (wandering woodsman) for a long time. I've been amazed at you tree and plant knowledge even in winter with only bark to ID stuff. Thanks for being real & honest.
@LearnYourLand Haha, Greetingz Adam, you've become better and better, been watching you for years. I got stung by yellow jackets while giving you a shout out 2023 while I was about to harvest a treeload of Chicken of The Woods, as I literally 🏃♀️ 🐝 no joke ,but funny now 😄
Hi! Hope all is well! Happiness does not have an address or time frame. It is a state of mind that helps us to enjoy the good in life and overcome the bad. Whatever you do in life, ALWAYS, prioritize your (and your loved one's) safety, health, happiness, and well-being. You determine and define what safety, health, and happiness are. I'm glad to have come across your channel, and I look forward to watching more of your videos! Thank you for sharing your time, thoughts, and experiences! Pops
It may seem strange, but I love the last minute of this video. Why I love it is that it made me realize why I enjoy your channel. You are just being you, and you are being real. Good qualities to have.
Your Hemlock drawing is incredible! You are very talented That rock collection looks so cool, I also can't resist a interesting rock if I see one on the shore:) Love from Ireland ❤
I like all this stuff! I also like watching MySelfReliance, The Hoover Boys, Clay Hayes, anything related to fishing. I go hunting for sharks teeth mostly around the dredge spoils or at Folly Beach/ Morris Island. I’ve heard about the creeks around Summerville SC, but haven’t done it yet. You seem pretty cool. If you come down this way, ask for Matt at Crosby’s Fish and Shrimp Company.
Every year I like to follow one or two RUclipsrs who have taken it upon themselves to through-hike the Appalachian Trail and post daily vlog updates of their hike, partly because I entertain the thought of doing a through-hike myself someday. I think the first through-hike I followed was by "Fight For Together" back in 2018. It was also the most memorable through-hike I have watched because it was a family of 8 hiking the trail together, including a toddler who had to be carried most of the way from Georgia to Maine. I seriously did not expect them to succeed.
@frugalsquirrel1725 😮 wow that is absolutely amazing!!! I have to find this Channel! Congrats to those parents for doing something so worth while with their kids

Love the down-to-earth bluntness of 'Woodsbound Outdoors" as he reveals the miraculous. Kinda like: "Today I'm going to show you how to dress a deer with a bobby pin".
@@PACreekWalkerI would recommend, if you're not already familiar with it, crossing the river at the gap on one of your Pocono trips and driving up Old Mine Road. Wow. It's a wild, beautiful ride along the river up to Montague. Not any time soon, most of it is closed during winter.
Here are some youtubers I would add to your list. They are located to PA. Day hike Dave. Walter Zolna. Hiker dude dad. Toporanger. Random adventures 2.0 Just some of my favorites, thanks.
Your tree at the end of the video looks like the one from the Twin Peaks tv series (last season). I also keep a private collection of stones, mostly granite, because they come in different colors. But I also appreciate basalt because despite looking boring it has the most diverse mineral profile from widely available types of rocks, which is good for the soil, there's a thing called "rock dust" for this reason.
Learn Your Land is great. For learning mushrooms I also like Anna Mchugh(North Carolina) and the Mycological Society of DC(Washington DC area) I'm subbed to one of those fossil hunters, Hoppehunting but I have not watched him much. Growing up my grandfathers house was in Maryland very close to the Calvert Cliffs and we would go down to the beach looking for sharks teeth esp. after storms, or we could walk a little way down the beach to the cliffs themselves. I have jars full of sharks teeth here, mostly collected by my dad and grandfather, a few by me.
I am an eccentric. I do love watching Ghost Town Living, The Trek Planner, Sabbatical, The POV Channel, SUV RVing,Sidetrack Adventures, Jon Levi, Adventure Archaeology, Mystery History, Vicarious Icarus,Adam Neely, Itchy Boots just to name a few. Yes mostly out west where I grew up… seems like a dream long ago. Best times! Check ‘em out. You might like. Most of these I started during the pandemic… uhh! 😂
The internal cast of a snail in the lower right corner of your rock storage box appears to be a Cretaceous species i.e. Gyrodes superplicatus. I was just wondering where you collected it as there are no Cretaceous aged rocks in PA. The closest Cretaceous outcrops to you would be in NJ. Cretaceous mollusks of the Atlantic Coastal Plain are my specialty.😀
10:36 oh my God I have entire trees everywhere in my house and on my deck and one at my old house that I told my ex-husband don't you dare throw that out I'm bringing it to my new house. I dragged it out of the woods in the trailer park and dragged it all through the whole entire park I can imagine with the neighbor's thought 🤣🤣🤣
I have the secrets to life. They are always stolen from me...then I am tortured to wait for decades to be told "those won't be returned to you"...They will only be enjoyed by others.
Okay, that makes sense. The Gyrodes line continues to the present. The common name is "moon snail" . So one would expect representatives in the Miocene at Calvert Cliffs.
Thankyou soon I'm heading to ohio Pyle area by uniontown. I have relatives that run the summit hotel. Love that area. Enjoy the new year my friend. Jack
Hi, my subscriptions are a pretty eclectic mix, but only one fossil related channel, Mamlambo Fossils. He is based in New Zealand, and I find his fossil prep videos quite addictive, particularly the crabs! I do have one question for you. I have watched all of your videos, but can't remember if I ever heard mention of your first name. Would be nice to put a name to a face. Sorry if I missed it, but is that something you could share?
My RUclips channel has a number of tree ID videos. But one that is a bit unique is where we had a 370 acre forest fire nearby. I show footage of the fire and walk the ground a couple of days after the event. It's called "Turkey Ridge Forest Fire 2022". Maybe you'll find it interesting.
Why would you think you did the wrong thing taking your kiddos outside? That’s the best possible thing you can do. Enjoy them , they’ll be grown and gone before you know it.
I would almost expect you might be sort of a tomboy. But now that I see the little lights and the tree deco I know better, well, and the pink rock box with stickers! wow your place is so clean, if I laid on my floor.....Good lord, I have got to clean up and start acting like somebody! So when you show your rocks could you , just for a moment, show your Perkiomen point again? I am curious to see the inside of the little "broken" spot. Only if you can and want to, or have time. It takes me forever to talk about some rocks, I can just go on and on and on, it's embarrassing. Nice to see you just chilling, hopefully the weather will get better for a outing soon
@jeffphillips73 I'd love to show off my Perk Point again! It's a prized possession. Trust me, my home is so far from clean, I only film in the clean areas, or clear an area first. I've given up on cleaning now that I'm working everyday a.d have the kids
@@PACreekWalker I don't believe you, take my word for it , your place is clean especially compared to mine. I have some motivational issues along with a low grade, long term depression, probably a connection there. A large factor I believe is not finding someone similar to share life with at a young age, one that worked out and was peaceful. I'm sure we all have our stories about that. I have no one that expects anything from me and I gave up basically years ago. I even thought about hiring someone but it would be too embarrassing for anyone to see
@jeffphillips73 find and focus on one good thing in your life. It will probably be a hobby. Depression wont just go away. It's a lifetime up and down roller-coaster. Most days will be shitty. So the hobby that keeps me going is work. I like to do different things and have been blessed with the skills to do them well. It gives me time that I don't dwell on my problems and if there is energy affecting me I can focus that to get things done, an advantage.
