Episode 7 - Port Douglas

This episode we travel to Port Douglas for the day and visit the markets and local beaches. We re-stock before we embark on our trip to the tip of Cape York. We will revisit Port Douglas later when we return from the Cape.

Mick we come from the Pilbara in WA and don’t see beaches often with palms and coconut trees. Agree it is a touristy hub. I had heard about the place but it wasn’t so much for me.

I'm a born north Queenslander and I've never understood the interest in Port Douglas. One street of commerce and an ordinary beach. What's with that? The place was once used by the wanted and unwanted at the end of a beautiful drive. Ellis beach along the way is a far better spot.
