I am so excited - I always wanted to play an instrument - took violin lessons teacher got fresh so quit - bought a guitar last year, paid for lessons but got intimated after 2 lessons so I stopped. I recently purchased a Ukelele and ran across Ms. B. What a pleasant surprise that within 2 days I could play stand by me and the lion sleeps! Thank you - you are an amazing teacher! Don't worry, I am not quitting this time!

As a complete novice, I have been through your 30 day challenge and am now on the 30 day song challenge. While I do not necessarily perfect each step or song, I am finding that my skills are progressing quite nicely with each of your videos and that the steps you have us take with each video is just right. I was a bit confused initially about how each cord corresponded with each strum pattern but I finally figured out that a full strum pattern corresponds with each noted cord over the song lyrics. I purchased an Ohana Tenor as my first ukulele.Thank you for making ukulele a real pastime for me in my retirement.

I loved this tutorial because I don't know how, today I switched very smoothly, and this also made me kearn how to position fingers of g7 quickly 😁 and do these switches easily. I'm learning ukulele since May last year, and all from this channel only. I love you teacher♥️

Because I already learned this song in Island strum as soon as I started singing my hand automatically did island strum. Funny because that was super hard for me to learn.
I think it sounds pretty cool to add the C7 into the chorus where it rolls back to the top, leading back to the 2nd line of the chorus... I think I learned that from you on another video to learn this song...? Maybe?
I had originally taught it with the island strum, but the original song uses this strum. I was so split on which video to upload but in the end I decided to go with the original but definitely I am glad you are choosing a version you like ❤️❤️❤️

I am so frustrated and I'm like why aren't they doing it like this or that and then I realize its because its not you....... -_-.........I love you please never stop.
I kept going back and forth xD. I could start perfectly fine with the original strumming pattern then, I would change to the island strum and realize I changed then change back to the original strum again xD.
Hi so I'm having so much trouble with the g chord shape my fingers can't get there fast enough I was up playing a new song and I realized I can Barre the three strings and just add my middle finger to the 2nd string comes out super clear but tbh idk if that's good practice. Or a good begginers tool let me know!
