Do you agree with Jenna?
Yes!!!!!
YES!!
No
YES
Yes but who's Jenn again
I'm so glad she did save the painting. It was super symbolic and made for one of the most poignant moments of the finale.
In the extended episode, it was actually destroyed by Erin and asked Kelly to fix it in exchange of Erin's necklace. Kelly drew over it and added a rainbow and other stuff. It was a funny scene. 😂
I'm so glad Jenna was so strong in making sure that didn't happen. She was 100% right. That painting was the heart of the show and the memory with Michael Scott as the boss and his genuine pride in Pam's abilities that night. That painting on the wall symbolized the whole show. HURRAY FOR JENNA!!! That was the right decision!
She was SO right. It seems at times the actors knew better than the writers. There was something about John Krasinski pushing back on a storyline about Jim potentially cheating on Pam.
John saved his character fr
They Livin it on first person perspective
Whats with american writers pushing this cheating bs that shit happened on Suits too smh
I love it when actors stand up for their characters
Kudos for Jenna, our eternal pam
Jenna was 100% right. If that painting is not there for the final episode, you don't get the full circle moment of her taking her painting home as a keepsake of memories from her job. Jim says in the episode that it was a boring job but it gave him everything he had in his life... That painting is symbolic of that for Pam...
Coincidentally, I only just listened to that episode of Office Ladies a little while ago. An additional fact is that they actually did film the scene where the painting got destroyed and it wasn't until the very last minute that they agreed to remove it from the final cut of the episode. As a result though, there are actually several episodes in a row where the painting is inexplicably absent, before it makes an equally inexplicable return.
That painting is really important to the show. Michael wanted it for the office and was willing to buy it from his friend.
She is 100% absolutely right. Years later that Michael and Pam scene gets new fans to discover the most amazing series.
The art getting destroyed would have not been a good ending.
That’s not what they said, on Jim and Pam’s honeymoon (season 6) is when the painting would have been ruined.
@@menace2g296yes but the painting would have been changed by Kelly and would have looked goofy. This way it staid as the original.
I love it when actors fight for their shows and specially their characters. When they say stuff like "no, this is not something my character would do". Jim was supposed to cheat on Pam on season 9, I think, and John Krasinski said heeelll no.
I agree w/ Jenna. I love that painting! I have it on my fridge.
It's a beautiful lil piece of The Office, not only due to its awesome lil two-point perspective presentation, but also b/c the greatest character in The Office (Michael G. Scott; Regional Mgr) took it so seriously.
The way Michael felt about the painting was defining to Pam and to the audience how important the office was, so yes I’m glad she did save the painting.
I agree with her, ruining it for a gag would shit all over what in my opinion was the best scene in the entire show, Michael buying it from her.
I wonder how much that original painting would sell for.
A real pam moment
Personally I got sad when Pam took the painting in the final
When she took the painting home at the end that was the whole show for me. Cannot imagine wrapping it up without reference to the painting
Good work pan 🌚
The gag wouldn’t have even been funny just annoying. Thank god Jenna fought that.
I would have been ok with it, if at the end she painted another one with a few updates
Go jenna🎉! As an artist I thank you!
The painting IS what makes the office.
Why the writers of shows have such an itch to destroys the beautiful things written by them?
Ya I mean the thing was in basically ever scene after she made it
Yeah you can see in s6 for half of the season the painting is replaced with like a golf inspiration picture.
Thank you Jenna
It's so ironic that the actor is so attached to and understands the character and the art of the character, even more so than the writers
I also thought it would have been better if Pam gave the painting to Micheal when she met him at the airport before he left
Why I’m crying watching this video?
I search up this vid all the time ❤ she’s sho adorable 🥰
Remember Pam's expression when Jo slammed the newspaper cut out on the painting 😂😂😂😂
I just rewatched the office a few weeks ago and the painting getting ruined by Erin was in the episode. Erin calls Pam on her honeymoon to try and tell her. I was surprised when it showed back up and figured Pam just made a new one or something..
I love Angela, she's beautiful ❤
It's hope in a frame
Destroying the painting would have been criminal. They ruined the show more than enough in the final two seasons that this would have been unforgivable.
Which one is Pam?
It's like when the writers wrote Jim cheating on Pam, but John Krazinski talked them out of it because it wasn't something Jim would do, so we get the hilarity with bed bugs and Dwight instead.
These actors knew their characters better than the writers.
Fuck yeah! Stand up for what u believe in
Should've just made a replica and have dwight "destroy it" for the joke. shred it like banksy, pam cries, but jim set dwight up and kept the original. Jim hands the original to pam romantically on the last exit of the building. Everyone cries.
Should've checked with me.
Michael Scott should have taken it at the end.
I wanna apply at Dunder Mifflin… how do I get an appy?
I think if that did happen, fans would agree it was the one mistake in the show. Glad it didn'thappen, good for Jenna defending her character.
Loved the ai Jenna Fischer voice 😂 “you. Can not. Destroy. Pam’s. Painting.” 🤖
The Office Ladies pod is loaded with insider stories and interviews. They do one episode at a time, with actual scripts and time stamps as referential talking points.
They explain where scenes were cut for time or for other reasons- eg. like Pam’s watercolor.
Their guests include Rainn Wilson, BJ Novak, Melora Hardin, Greg Daniels and director Ken Kwapis.
Jenna and Angela get a bit girly at times, but the content is great.
Michael should have taken it with him to Colorado
Why couldn’t they have just destroyed a print and kept the real copy…?
It would’ve made everyone hate Erin
So she stole a painting that someone else had already paid her for
Bro I would've been pissed and probably stop watching it there.
The office love you
Sounds like internal theft. Good thing Dwight fired them.
I think theseries would have been better if Pam never appeared in it.
Nah the painting wasn't all that. Plus the whole point of the show was that nothing and no one was off-limits.
Could she have changed it temporarily?
Why do you click bait?
People in the comments acting like this is the be all and all of the office
There are no lines in the parking lot.
“The shadows are going different ways. Are there 2 suns?”
@@JB-pz6bm "last time i checked, the office building wasn't in Andromeda galaxy"
Thanku so muchhhhhhh❤♥️

Steve carell office Michael Scott love you
Pam Michael Scott love you
How could have that even have been funny. The two worst characters committing such destruction…so glad it didn’t happen. 😅
.
Pam’s annoying and cringe af the whole series.
wish they would have casted someone else.
yet you still watch the whole series ? attention seeker
No she wasn’t even if she was that wouldn’t be Jenna fishers fault
Personally, I hated Jim and Pam in the show. They brought this "i'm better than everybody else" vibe.
However I think it would had been perfect, if they had about 50% less screen time.
they were just the only 2 normal people in the show
This is why I skip season 9…the Philly Jim storyline is awful and super cringe
No
I think they were good they provided a kind of third person perspective to the office however I do think that the pranks were sometimes just annoying I also don’t like the Philly Jim thing nor do I like the whole co manager thing but Jim and Pam were amazing and at sometimes yes they probably thought they were better (mostly Jim) but they are not perfect, good characters can have flaws that’s what makes them a person
the two most annoying characters on the show and in real life would come up with something stupid like that
This show has aged horribly.
How?
Painting was garbage...i really hated the pam character
Annoying self important character is played by annoying self important actress?
