Shot bro. Thanks again for another stunning video. Keeping me motivated to get out there as well & just do the things we love. Journey well travel safely my bro. Chur chur.
far out thats rare to see hammerheads being caught out west. well for me at least. do miss fishing out west haha that was a calm flat condition on the sand btw.
Commercial fishing in New Zealand is disgusting. My local area is littered with hundreds if not thousands of commercial cray pots less then 50m off shore. I go for a swim in the same area to get myself a cray but they are all undersized because as soon as they are keepable the commercial guys take them. If I want too eat crayfish out of my own backyard it’ll cost me at least $75 from new world. Absolutely disgusting
Its blatant corruption. It once was a country of many small fishing communities. Quota management System changed all that. It did at first seem to be a good idea. Now all decisions go in favor of a few 'shareholders' who 'OWN' the majority of 'OUR' fish stocks and can afford to lobby the government and influence policy. (Our lobbying industry is unregulated here so they can get away with hiding a lot from public scrutiny from what I understand.)
Superb catch and release of the big ones. This is the best New Zealand fishing presentation /show on You Tube.
Lol... cheers mate!

Been a lot around this summer, I've landed 4 and lost one solid 6-7 footer from the rocks on a live bait.
You really do show us that a 20 pound snapper is not a once in a life time fish
Such a good watch really enjoyed it. What is that rod you have looks nice. Congrats on the massive snappers!
Cheers mate. Diawa Saltist hyper rod 9'6 paired with a PENN Slammer3 5500.
