I picked up one of your kite rigs second hand to see if I'd actually use it. It's brilliant. It's the old style where the traces clip to the main line. I actually prefer this style as I'm in whakatane which has a lot of boat traffic and this keeps the main line down the bottom not on the surface. I've hit a kontiki line with my boat before. Obliterated my fish finders speed wheel and transducer. I'm guessing my prop probably cut the line and someone lost an expensive kontiki. I'll be picking up more of your kites in the near future, pocket sled etc. I'm keen to try live bating over some reefs from the shore using some type of release clip setup. I'm loving everything about kite fishing. I've even decided to sell the boat. The kite i got must be at least 10 years old and still gets used monthly and works like new. Very high quality. The whole setup is really well made. I'm glad i tried your gear first and will be a customer for life.
Thanks for the compliments. The bottom longline kite fishing rig is great for areas where the rip is light and sharks are not a problem. The reason I like the kite dropper rig on the west coast is you can fish even if the surf is 3 meters high and easily get past the really strong longshore current that the high surf generates.
Amazing idea! How do you drop the leader line? Do you just let the kite land on water and pull it together with the fish/harvest? Only problems I see is when the line breaks you lose the kite, and when the wind blows in a different direction.
@@paulsfishingsystems Hey Paul, have you tried slingshot surf fishing? Like using a slingshot to cast your ordinary sinker as much distance as possible?
Nice system beautiful prey Well I have to ask something static electric air What is the risk of shock Lightning high energy is there a risk? Or Is there any grounding line?
May I ask about the black "stuff" hanging from the kite? Is is some weight playing role as a tale or a boil that does not let it sink in case of torn line? Thanks for your answer in advance
awesome video. really enjoy watching the catches being pulled in. so many species out in the west coast
Incredible *Fishing* Congratulations beautiful *Fish!* 👍🎣🐟🐠

If the line breaks you only lose the hook section, everything is progressively sacrificial and it's designed to protect the kite and mainline.

I use kites, Kontiki’s and drones. Slingshot would be less practical for long casts than any of these
Nice system
beautiful prey
Well
I have to ask something
static electric air
What is the risk of shock
Lightning high energy
is there a risk?
Or
Is there any grounding line?
No one has reported getting shocks. We don’t fly in electrical storms.
@@paulsfishingsystems ok good
Please what is the diameter of the thread

It is a polystyrene float to keep the kite on the surface if it goes into the water.
@@paulsfishingsystems Thank you. really inspiring
how lb U line?
100 pound breaking strain
he hee i'am not that good with kits. They got a mind of the own. Why i use sail lines. I can control that
