You are so right about the mids this is a huge problem on many mouthpieces. Yet you are the first reviewer I have heard mention it. Nice to know it’s not just me 😂.
Great playing, i have shiva 3 tip 8 . Which reeds and strength would you recommend me ? Sometimes i m getting some squeaking sound on high a and b. Best Regards
Manny--Matt from Theo Wanne here. Big changes between the Shiva3 and Shiva4. The Shiva4 is a small chamber piece, and has a different sidewall shape, whereas the Shiva3 has a large chamber. The Shiva4 has a much thicker core sound (the “mids” that Danny talks about in the video) and is able to cut through a mix in most settings better. I’d also say there’s more overall power available ;)
I have ear damage from playing loud music. I have no desire to play or listen to loud music. Why do we have to damage our ears ? We don’t. I would play the Durga before the Shiva. But, I think I would prefer the new Ambica overall on tenor

Spot on Danny. Great info and demo
Thanks for posting!! What do you find are the major differences between the Shiva 3 & 4? Is it worth the upgrade? Cheers!!

Loud is a relative term in this case
