Navien's all I can say is a great filter system, it prevents scaling of the piping and the heat exchanger. there are three different models I was only able to get my hands on two of them. I will be receiving the C model in a few weeks.

Hi Mike, I love your channel and I’m glad I found it! I have a Rinnai RL75 that I changed out as it froze after Hurricane Sandy. I have city water and this unit has never been descaled in 9 or 10 years. A rep at Rinnai advised descaling could possibly expose weak spots in the piping, but also advised that the unit could fail at any time because it has never been flushed out. Do I flush it out, do I buy a backup heat exchanger and change it out, or do I wait for it to fail? Any assistance is appreciated. Ed from Jersey.

Agree. I just had the S filter installed and it has a slow leak. Guessing it’s a bad gasket.
