Your little walk with Karter was absolutely adorable. She probably enjoyed every minute of it. I personally love fireworks and watching them but my dog is terrified of them. She barks and barks barks at them along with shaking and panting. So I was in bed with her last night at 7:15 to make her feel safe. My little 5lb dog could careless and looks at my 90lb dog like she’s crazy. But I will do anything to make them feel better and feel safe. I hope 2024 is going to be a great year for you and your family.
There's a thing groomers use to cover their ears for the blow dryers. Getting one of those or using something similar might help. It's a stretchy cloth ring that goes around their head to pin the ears down. It and maybe a thunder shirt could maybe help your baby stay calm and allow you a bit of freedom to step away w/out her freaking out.
@@Sumsum2000 thanks for the advice. I’ve tried a Thunder shirt and it didn’t work. My girl has anxiety on a regular day so fireworks are worse for her. When I take her to bed it helps her and she feels safe in my room so a few times a year I have to go lay in bed with her is fine with me. New Year’s Eve isn’t the same for me since I moved away from my close friends. But I will look into the thing that groomers use and see if it helps her. I usually blast the tv and put a sound machine on which helps but gets old watching a tv that’s blasting .

Karter is the sweetest little girl and it was so heartwarming seeing you two together. I never realised that you set fireworks off on new years eve in the States. It's terrible here in Germany 😢 Last year was so bad I thought my horses we going to die, one had a colic and the other was so tired from running I thought he was going to drop dead. I cried where I was so scared. This year I gave them CBD to calm them, ear plugs for horses and special ear muffs to keep the noise out. It actually worked, the horses stayed in their stable eating very calm throughout the nightmare of fireworks ❤ Happy new year to everyone 🎉❤

Jake, I feel your pain about the fireworks! I really do despise them! My cat hides and my poor little Schnauzer nearly has a nervous breakdown. I have to put his Thunder Shirt on him, use calming meds, and hold him. When I was able to have horses, I had to stay with them almost all night! It is totally ridiculous that we have to endure their fireworks and even gunshots every holiday. I just can’t understand how people cannot have consideration and compassion for animals and children! I am truly surprised that your family was so inconsiderate doing fireworks when they all have animals. I know when I had my dogs they would freak out starting the weeks before and after the 4th of July and again over the New Year Holiday weeks. I tried a number of things to comfort my dogs and they were still stressed for days. The fireworks also stress out veterans suffering from being in combat. So sorry that people are so inconsiderate about all the animals safety. My husband and myself shared shifts last night staying with our animals in the barn to keep them calm. We play music ( which is daily for them) just more louder. It drowns out some of the fireworks. People just don’t understand that not everyone or everything likes fireworks. We had a neighbor who lost a beautiful horse last July because of fireworks. She ran through a fence breaking her front legs. It’s sad.

It is a horror what animals have to deal with when holidays with fireworks erupt onto the area. There are places that fire off works that don't make all that noise. Wish you were one of them! Carter such a sweetie my favorite 💕 I understand about the fireworks twice a year I watch my dog go through fear so bad on the fourth of July he went through a French door thank God he didn't get hurt, The Vet asked me to give him medication from now on and make him a bunker in a closet leave the door 1/2 way open. I used it last night without the medication and it was a lot better. I can't imagine what all the babies were going through I'm so sorry they have to go through that crap.❤🙏

Jake mentions it was Ben and PawPaw said in one of his videos that he told Ben if he was going to do fireworks, he had to do them down by the river. To see them right by their houses and animals was very disrespectful. But Ben is 21, and that's when you do foolish things. I'm glad Jake was able to make him stop. 😢
It is a horror what animals have to deal with when holidays with fireworks erupt onto the area. There are places that fire off works that don't make all that noise. Wish you were one of them! So sorry for what the animals had to put up with. Just don't understand why people don't take them- including wildlife - and also people that have PTSD and anxiety issues into consideration when they decide to celebrate by setting the sky on fire. Beautiful memories with little Karter.

Karter melted my heart when she said that to you. What a sweet smart little girl. I’m shocked that Pawpaw even let Ben do the fireworks there. Couldn’t Ben do them at his house where they live in a subdivision and don’t have farm animals all over? My guess is the homeowners association thingy they are apart of doesn’t allow them to which is why he did them there. But still if you can’t do them at your house then I guess you just don’t get to do them because there is way to many animals on morrow hill to be doing fireworks ON MORROW HILL! I’m so thankful my dog isn’t scared of fireworks. I feel horrible for your animals, Pops animals, your dads, Kims & Lester’s. Your lucky one of them didn’t try running through a fence when he lit off the ones right there

Karter is such a sweety, I am glad you are the fun uncle for her and Kash once he is a bit older. Setting fireworks off that close to your animals, your dad's, Pawpaw's, Kim's and the Sanctuary is not cool at all. If little sparklers I could get but not big loud ones.
Carter such a sweetie my favorite 💕 I understand about the fireworks twice a year I watch my dog go through fear so bad on the fourth of July he went through a French door thank God he didn't get hurt, The Vet asked me to give him medication from now on and make him a bunker in a closet leave the door 1/2 way open. I used it last night without the medication and it was a lot better. I can't imagine what all the babies were going through I'm so sorry they have to go through that crap.❤🙏

Hello Jake the first video was the sweetest ever with you and Karter just cuteness overload. She loved spending time with her uncle Jake. And me thinks he enjoyed it too. Hope all the animals were ok so scary for them with the noise and lights from the fireworks. Think it was the same last year but also with gun shots as Kim filmed it as her animals were so distressed. So hard on the animals as they don’t know what to do.
