How is developmental trauma different from other trauma, in the brain?

    I find that the trigger can bring me back to the age. So a trauma at age 6 is remembered at age 48 and it’s the 6 year old’s thoughts, feelings and beliefs that are now present and not I.

    I was adopted from an polish orphanage at the age of 3. I can relate to this video so much.

    Thank you. Working to resolve aspects of this now; severe developmental rupture, age 12, thwarted all development following; needs unmet quite early; attachment “stuff”, too.
