Thank you for a great presentation. My husband had DBS done back in March and April and it has helped him tremendously with his tremors and of course his medication dosages has been lowered and this has caused his hallucinations to stop. However, his off periods are becoming more frequent. I'm a bit disappointed at the outcome of DBS for I thought that it will take a few years before all the other symptoms will get worse. At our last visit his Neurologist recommended Duopa which to me is a step backwards. We are really praying and sitting on this one because I feel that my husband's PD is not too advanced for this. He still drives, he is active, he walks with out a cane, we are sexually active so to us this will be a step back. The programming on his DBS was set again. The Dr. said that he increased the range, whatever that means, and it has only been 3 days and the new setting seems to be working. He's off periods are not as frequent and they are shorter. I really hate this disease and we are praying for a miracle upon my husband's life and of course for a cure.

    Tremor In Parkinson’s
“It also appears to be the case that tremor is the only symptom of Parkinson’s disease that may improve on its own - some who had severe tremors have seen them virtually disappear over the period of a decade. Tremors also rarely continue to worsen beyond a certain point - at some point the tremor will plateau.”
