- In the based-on-a-true-story movie The Polka King, Jack Black plays Jan Lewan, a charismatic Pennsylvanian who, believe it or not, used the art of polka to bilk his fans out of money. Black reveals how he turned himself into Lewan and what exactly the two have in common.

Jo and I were very happy to be involved with the Great Actor Jack Black and The Polka King Movie as he studied my videos that I have filmed of Jan Lewan through the 33 years since we became friends. The Premiere at Sundance was better than anyone of us ever expected. The producers also had a good look at my videos to make the sets as original as possible with many of my photos and videos in the movie. Jack does an incredible job acting as Jan. Love that guy.
Jan should be executed for his crimes, manipulation and theft from so
many people. He is an absolute pig. The results of his crime have been
felt through many generations. The elderly people he STOLE from died poor
and destitute, 5 of them died from infections they got from being kept
in bed in extremely disgusting nursing homes, why..because Jan stole
from them and the savings they had were spent by Jan Lewan, an absolute disgraceful pit. Screw him totally and fully.
Brainfreeze NJW they were dumb enough to invest their life's savings to him... then I guess it's not really anyone's fault expect theirs ...

Jack your a man of many trades. I love you as a artist and person. One day i hope to meet you. Tenacious D is still my fave. Rock on and do some more music with Kyle.

Stuart Tamblyn why would he ? What a dumb comment. So if an actor portrays a murderer he also has to go to jail to pay for his actions ? It's the sole responsibility of Jan Lewan, he owes the money and he has to repay it and not Jack Black for portraying him in a movie..
