I have installed all new electronics including 12 inch Hummingbird Solix , Minn Kota 80 Ultrex trolling motor, stereo, led lighting, power poles, 3 bank 15 amp battery charger as well as 2 lithium batteries. I spent some money but it was still considerably less than a new boat and I have all of the accessories I ever wanted.

That is a sweet Bass Boat. Mine is a 1991 Nitro bought new in 1992. I bought it used in 1996 from the original owner for $5000. It is undoubtedly the best purchase I have ever made. The family time and memories over the years have been wonderful. It is now getting to the point that it needs restoration. I am hoping it turns out as sweet as yours. I am having trouble finding seats that I actually like.

Randall I just used the gimbal mount that came with the unit. I drilled holes down through top of console and used longer bolts with some washers and a nut underneath. It has been mounted that way for several years with no issues. I also had to make a hole for wires. I hope this helps you and thank you for stopping by my channel. Tight lines.
Would like to talk to you about how you installed your seats with that piece that covers the recessed back as my installation is the same. I might need instructions since Deans didn't send me any. I have a Cobra also that I'm restoring n we both have similar taste. Love your setup.
Nice looking boat. I got a 201 cobra and fixng have deans make me some seats. That center console did you have any issues with the lid warping on it? I saw several old post on bbc about them warping over time. Also how did you mount the center console to boat. Did you mount it on the square tubing under seats? Thanks jeff
Jeff it in fact did warp over time. I was very disappointed since it was pretty pricey. I did mount it to the boat. Once it warped it let so much water in. Good luck on your restore and thanks for stopping by my channel!

You should look at getting a Fulton 2 speed winch for your boat. I fought the idea for years as I thought a winch is a winch. For a heavy boat it makes a WORLD of difference if you need to crank it up to the roller. Awesome rig man.
98 201D owner here. Looking to replace seats, carpet and upgrade center step seat. Seats mount on top of fuel cell. Would like more info on proper onstall without damaging fuel cell and hardware to install...(obviously don't drill into cell) Any input welcome. Thanks and great job on the upgrade. Best rough water bass boat ive ever owned. Wish they still made them.
Jim I sure wish they did too. I ordered my seats from deans top and canvas and they can match the originals since they are the ones that made them when Cobra was in production. That is where I got mine from. As far as the seat install they are on a square tubing aluminum frame. Just make sure to use screws that are rhetorical same length as the ones you take out. There is a small amount if room under the seats before hitting fuel cell. They are easy to install. Thanks for stopping by my channel.

I have those same seat's in my 2001 Cobra Viper DC 180 from dean's top and canvas and their really nice! I'm wanting to buy some 28oz bass cat carpet and redo my carpet. Would love to have some aqua deck in the bottom like you have!

Braeden I just used the gimbal mount that comes with the graphs, I drilled holes down through the dash and got some long bolts and put big flat washers and lock washer and nuts on the bottom side of console. Did your boat originally come with a Johnson and if so, did you have any issues with your Johnson motor?

10 miles of 5-6’ waves and 50mph gust winds popped the transom this spring then I was trying to limp around 3 weeks later and motor blew.
