    02:06 Atari 2600
The Atari 2600, originally branded as the Atari Video Computer System (Atari VCS) until November 1982, is a home video game console developed and produced by Atari, Inc. Released on September 11, 1977.
    03:33 Atari 5200/ Atari 8-bit family
The Atari 5200 SuperSystem or simply Atari 5200 is a home video game console introduced in 1982 by Atari, Inc. as a higher-end complement for the popular Atari Video Computer System. The CPU and the graphics and sound hardware are almost identical to that of the Atari 8-bit computers, although software is not directly compatible between the two systems.
    05:01 Commodore 64/C64
The Commodore 64, also known as the C64 or the CBM 64, is an 8-bit home computer introduced in January 1982 by Commodore International. It has been listed in the Guinness World Records as the highest-selling single computer model of all time.
    06:33 ColecoVision
ColecoVision is a second-generation home video-game console developed by Coleco and launched in North America in August 1982. It was released a year later in Europe by CBS Electronics as the CBS ColecoVision. The console offered a closer experience to more powerful arcade video games compared to competitors such as the Atari 2600 and Atari 5200.
    08:01 Intellivision
The Intellivision is a home video game console released by Mattel Electronics in 1979. The name Intellivision is a portmanteau of "intelligent television". Development of the console began in 1977, the same year as the introduction of its main competitor, the Atari 2600.
09:28 Magnavox Odyssey 2 (This version has only one stage)
The Magnavox Odyssey 2 (stylized as Magnavox Odyssey²), also known as Philips Odyssey 2, is a second generation home video game console that was released in 1978. It was sold in Europe as the Philips Videopac G7000, in Brazil as the Philips Odyssey and in Japan as Odyssey2.
    09:58 Texas Instruments TI-99/4A
The TI-99/4 is a home computer released in late 1979 by Texas Instruments. Based on the Texas Instruments TMS9900 microprocessor originally used in minicomputers, it was the first 16-bit home computer. TI's own video display controller allows color graphics and among the best sprite support of its era.
    11:25 NES/FAMICOM
I personally like the look of the Colecovision and TI-99/4A version, with it's water color like graphics, it makes the game look unique. But hands down the Arcade version has the best graphics being a much powerful system.
fun fact: Did you notice in stage 2, Wimpy is not present in all the ports(some clones are) surprisingly he isn't in the NES version as well 🤷‍♀️ Probably some licensing issue.

I remember my mom thinking out loud to herself once about getting an Odyssey 2, my brother and I both jumped up off the couch yelling, "NO!!" lol she looked at both of us and said, "It's cheaper than an Atari." To which I replied, "There is a reason for that."

@@SupremeNerd You mean the Odyssey was worst than Intellivision or Intellivision was worse than Atari?? Intellivision games were pretty good in most cases and most ports were superior to the 2600. The sports games were unparalleled at that time.

Really regret not having the Texas Instruments 99/4 version back in the day. Did not know about it until years later but it’s a fine port. I was fascinated by the arcade game as a 7 year old who also loved Donkey Kong.
Now nearing 50. Have my own custom arcade setup with twin sticks and trackball. Around 1000 classic games. 4 ports of Popeye and over half a dozen ports of Donkey Kong.

Wow - I didn't think anything could be worse than the unfinished Apple II homebrew port of this game - but the Odyssey 2 version might have done it!! Amazing. 😝

I played a bootleg romhack of the NES version on a famiclone handheld.
It removes the copyrighted elements and replaces the characters with generic cartoon animals.

I had the TI-994A version and was thankful it was really decent for the time.

Yeah I had a Ti994a also. Had Donkey Kong, Burgertime, and Congo Bongo. Not sure why I didn’t have this game or just didn’t know it was available. It’s the better looking port at the time.

There is also a 5200 home brew - several versions where they kept refining the graphics and did an awesome job.
